Like what everyone is saying, it is expected that the price of bitcoin but the reaction of everyone or say the majority will determine whether it will be a crash or not but so far so good, I can say we are still doing fine considering the level of confidence quite a number of people have exhibited which is something that is still giving the basis for bitcoin to still maintain the price it currently compared to other alts, that have entered the phase of crashing.

The market is dropping.
Another surge in price before the end of this year?
Thoughts?

- Better to say market is having some correction rather than it is dropping, huge price swings are normal in crypto  Wink
- After segwit bitcoin price might grow significantly if everything works as predicted, so yes there will be huge price surge.

I am always optimistic about bitcoin, other alts will just share marketcap with bitcoin nothing else.  Grin

Yeah. Some price correction is just happening. I speculate that it will continue up to tomorrow. Then we will see another price surge following that. Segwit2x really brings a lot of uncertainty on bitcoin market. But if successful that price could really fly. I'm also very positive about that scenario, we all just have to wait and see next month.

i think it's the common cycle of the cryptocurrency, first they pump then they dump, investors ain't stupid, they pump for profit not for charity, if they pump at some point it's normal to get back the money, to go use for vacation, and remember that winter is for pumping and summer for dumping
Agree with you and to correct you few years back we saw this with only bitcoin while other coins were nicely growing slowly now it's time for all the other altcoins over the years bitcoin fell maybe 2 times a month and just with one major dump altcoins got screwed and people are crying. #BitcoinIsBest

I don't think here anything happening new because , The rise and down in the price of the Bitcoin is a usual thing and I think it is that better time to buy Bitcoin where the many clever trader made the money by buying at lower price .
Here I would like to ask that what will happen when the price will increase , I am 100% sure that not every people will make any question that why is increasing .
So here I don't think we need to make any question regarding the price of the Bitcoin .
Well here the current reason of the down in the price is because most of millionaires who are newbie in the Bitcoin are facing fear to loss money during hardfork , so they are selling instead of buying .
Well leave your panic and take patience , everything will came to a better condition soon because pump dump is normal thing in Bitcoin market .

if there is a surge then it will be after August 1 when SegWit activates on bitcoin. and by that time i suppose we have to forget about altcoins for this year because what you saw this day will be even bigger by that date and the dumps will become harder in altcoin market (the money will be coming back to bitcoin when it is sure).

The surge can only be maintained if the segwit2x hardfork gets rejected after it activates. If miners actually hardfork into 2 bitcoins then it will crash badly. For bitcoin to be a store of value, it has to remain as only one. If a group of corporations can hardfork bitcoin against the community then it's pretty much game over.

All cryptocurrencies are dropping right now, i'm still not sure why it happen and is it because of Segwit August 1st ? Damn dude, it's really scary. I hope the price of bitcoin will raise again, i'm sure many bitcoin users panicked and sell all their bitcoin and make it worst. That's why the bitcoins price dropping so hard.

I agree, whales are taking their opportunity to get more Bitcoin in cheaper price before the Aug. 1 since that update will have a great effect in Bitcoin price, even with the split of network.  The dump of altcoin is a clear state that people are cashing out for fiat in preparation for massive buy when the Segwit activation is succesful.

As said before definitely fork on august 1st is decreasing the demand in Bitcoin and other cryptos/tokens.
IMO the hype is over, new ''investors'' are out of money and they are uncertain about the future of cryptos, so demand is much lower.
After the fork, Bitcoin will be improved which should result in bigger trust in whole system. So price should grow slowly.
No one knows what future will be like Cheesy

Remember the saying, what goes up must come down. This cryptocurrency downfall is normal. It also happens in traditional currencies that we have in our respective countries so why worry? After this downfall, there is only one way bitcoin and other currency are going and it is definitely upwards. Let us just wait some more time and we all will be happy with the outcome of what's happening right now. Patience is a virtue my friends. That's what we all need today.

Yes, the digital currency market is indeed declining. But we need not worry, because our sustenance has been arranged. So,  keep calm and wait. Smiley
