heartbleed created two vulnerabilities that were exploited. First, the addresses for incoming Bitcoin deposits were altered.

As a security researcher I cannot imagine the heartbleed exploit leading to this. You can "only" read data in the memory (eg cookies to takr over user sessions) I really cannot think of a way to alter deposit addresses.

Seems like ponzi is lying once again, what a surprise.

Exactly, just extra time to take advantage of newbies.

Another legacy transfer has been completed and our auditors have provided an update. Based on their preliminary analysis, heartbleed created two vulnerabilities that were exploited. First, the addresses for incoming Bitcoin deposits were altered. Second, multiple accounts were hacked and had balances changed. As part of the conditions of the Global Capital Alliance purchasing BTC-Arbs, we are tasked with resolving the mess and restoring order to the company. I am confident that we will be able to resolve our issues with your ongoing patience and support. Regular legacy transfers are being made and entire legacy fund balances are being moved one account at a time (after rigorous balance validation tests). Today's arbitrage result is 0.3%. And this then is the biggest bull I ever heard.

Heartbleed is only a problem with Openssl servers. btc-arbs could be using openssl but the very day heartbleed became known to the public (April 7th) was the day a fix was released. I do not believe heartbleed was the cause of this. Only 17% of the servers in out there use openssl.

A couple of HYIP's emailed me in their newsletters about patching heartbleed same day all the big legit companies sent out emails. I changed my password on all those HYIP's at the time and no other issues ensued or anything. You are correct heartbleed has no real basis in their bullshit, especially sitting here at the end of April.

They are all excuses friends. Originally why I called this admin out while it was paying. He is the scummiest of them all. Hope the best for all of you with your selective payouts, but please don't waste your time analyzing their excuses. My heart breaks that the community was fleeced yet again in a short term HYIP to so many who did not realize they were playing a HYIP.

Yesterday I was paid $500 / $2000 back with the promise that I will be paid more "soon". If "Ron James" keeps his end of the deal and pays me, I will keep the bank details private.

I think there is much more to this story than we know. My account was hacked 3 weeks ago and after the money had been withdrawn it was later returned. I'm also getting spam messages to an email address that I only used here. Maybe they were hacked?

When the site was new I sent a $2000 wire to a personal account of the owner in Florida. PM me for details.

Of course you can tell details here, or to the police

dare I post here among the scamming experts? Smiley

sorry a bit off topic but we are a group here and one of us decided to place his pre-ordered miner on eBay, since he put it at cost none of us are interested in buying him out. Also since you (and us) are all in HYIPs, we know mining is not what it used to be, now that difficulty is 8G. Lo on behold, he comes and says his equipment sold but the buyer wants to pay in BTC.

Personally I still run all my miners and keep on buying what I can afford (I have same pre-order as his as well), I don't care about difficulty or cost of electricity, but realistically whatever I mine will only have value if the BTC shoots (which it will), which is probably what the buyer thinks as well, but i can't give another explanation to him and i was wondering if you can smell a fish?

I actually get more BTC by mining TRC and converting it through one of the exchanges.

This doesn't seem unusual to me.... however, try suggesting using a trusted 3rd party as escrow

Dear btc-arb.com Site-Owner/Admin!

In case you read this message here, please release my locked "Legacy-Funds" asap.

I really need (at least a part of) it to pay some bills ...

Please release at least 2.5 BTC from my locked "Legacy-Funds" for withdrawal.

If you do so I am willing to keep the remaining funds in your game for a few more weeks ...

I hope you succeed, although you might not have a choice about the few more weeks.   Sad

I have my first withdraw request for .0461 which is all I had out of my legacy funds.   I don't know how long it would take to process, but I only placed about 4 hours ago.

For example, yesterday it was a matter of hours. In my previous withdrawals of 0.01btc transferred from legacy it was max 30 hours pending, so you need to be patient.

Thanks and yes I'll be patient.

I would recommend to put a ticket on the site with this message. Don't expect to put your message here and hope to get your amount back...I placed tickets on btc arbs.
Just to clarify this.
