For Xmas price realistic is to hit little over $800 to go over 1000 is little to much at this point. Dont think we can expect to see price goes over 1000 but to see 800 is really realistic in 10 day we can expect to see that price over 800 maybe in some range of 820-850 that would be great and good to see.

I agree that a realistic price for Xmas is to cross the line of $800 if it has the ability to surpass its annual high of $781. A sky-scraping price it is possible after a short time to lead the bitcoin price to go down. In my opinion is better to have small and steady raise of the price.

It gonna be little more than that but over 800 is for sure no doubt  about it
I also think we can see 1000 just in end of next month January

If I were you, I wouldn't just take for granted that we will reach the $800 level by Christmas. Right now the patterns are quite similar to how it was before the block halving when we were about to reach $800. People were speculating about it to happen within an x amount of hours, but we all know what happened after that. First let's reach $800 and settle above that level, and repeat the same thing when we reach $900, and after that we'll start speculating about reaching the $1000 level.

just one more week until Christmas... dont think we will reach $1k.... $800 maybe....
Yes, I think so, only one week not could probably could reach $1,000. It looks like this will occur in 2017, however this is a good time to buy a bitcoin, I'm sure the price will continue go up.

I'm losing my hope now that the price of bitcoin will reach $1,000 before the Christmas eve. So my another hope is to accept the fact that bitcoin is possible to reach $800 before the end of the year. And let's just hope for the next year to come that bitcoin is going to reach that $1,000 mark.

It could happen overnight, though if it is going to happen at all, it will likely take more time than that. Some two months ago the price had risen from $600 to over $700 in just a few weeks, so the prices of either $900 or $1,000 wouldn't be something out of the ordinary. That said, we should still be glad if the price just reaches the $800 level by the New Year, then we could hope that in the new year it will finally take the $1,000 barrier.

The bitcoin price could just reach over 30% in just one night as you can see from the past statistic that this ever happened. you might already lost your hope but the chances for bitcoin still there. even though bitcoin is not going to make a miracle but the miracle will probably coming. just wait and see what's gonna happening to the bitcoin's rate and may we surprised when something big happened

I think no, I have seen an article a while ago that the price of bitcoin will be around 800 dollars at the end of this year. No one knows, this is just a speculation and there's nothing wrong to expect more but it would be really great if we reach the 1000 dollar on Christmas day, what a very big bonus.

The bitcoin can reach this price but it will not be done this year, most likely it will happen next year for sure.

Christmas will be a few more days to arrive. Well, many of which have to be prepared at the time, especially bitcoin. I'm not sure at the time of Christmas, bitcoin prices reached a price of $ 1000, but I would argue that the price will not be much of a price of $ 1,000. Well, the price will go up very quickly before the end of the year, I believe it  Grin

If all bitcoiners that will participate in Christmas season will not use their coins then we can't see some price decrease.

But it's far from happening since people are using money regularly when there is a Christmas. Even people don't want to cashout they will use it  to take part of the season. We need some time like this too and not just about thinking big money.

We can earned it again afterwards.

Historically speaking we have seen more of a drop of Bitcoin on Christmas than a jump to profits. For year 2013 and 2014, BTC price dropped 40% and 14% respectively while on 2015 that's the time when there's a 22%. BTC price has been hoovering over $760 - $780. If there will be some price increase it would be safe to say somewhere 10% to 15% in next coming days until Christmas shopping ends.

you shouldn't even compare bitcoin of 2016 with bitcoin of 2013-14 everything has changed compared to those days. there is no mtgox, there is no pump and there are lots more investors creating a better and bigger spread and besides any drops after the gox pump should be ignored the same as the pump when you want to see the overall change.

what you are trying to say is true that in 2016 we are having the real users of bitcoin who are having full faith on bitcoin so i also dont think that their will be any major correction but same thing we wont be seeing $1000 mark of bitcoin price in this year the max we can expect is the price $850 - 875 as per my calculation as in the last week of this month we can see some selling pressure as most of them will be willing to sell and go for vacation for Christmas

Faith is nothing to do with here. The quoted post above is clearly pointing to the happenings in bitcoin every Christmas season and not on the whole 2016 alone.

Not gonna happen, it would be too early, I think it will happen at the beginning of 2017 due to the fact we get more popular everyday right now.

Don't think we'll see $1k by Christmas, but I do have a strong feeling that we will finally hit $1k in 2017. I'm excited to see what is in store for BTC next year.

Bro, hitting 1k in 2017 is a given. No debating that. We talking bout xmas.  Wink

It really depends. For me in my opinion Christmas doesn't really have an association with bitcoin compared to a date such as halving of block reward day for bitcoin. So I don't think that it will affect bitcoin prices that much at all.

I'd say that in the short term it'll stay at around $770-$780ish, nothing major.
