I feel it will no longer touch numbers below $4k, bitcoin has experienced it some time ago and will not come back in the near future. The possibility to go down one last time before halving did exist but not as deep as before
I don't think there's going to be a bottom in the next couple of months because now Bitcoin is growing and soon there will be Bitcoin halving, which should add strength to the growth.

I also noticed this upward trend recently!

Another bottom before the halving? Well it can happen because of pandemic but I believe bitcoin that it will rise in the halving.
It will not happen again. The halving will decrease the inflation rate for bitcoin and that will actually give a bullrun to the bitcoin. The impact that caused by the pandemic has already gone and look at the current chart of bitcoin. it shows that a small signal toward the big bullish trend that will be happening as soon as possible. We must be patience.

I'm sure others here have been there and done that already, but I haven't personally experienced the halving yet since it's only been recent that I've dabbled in crypto. Cool  And because of that, I'm excited to witness and experience hopefully a bull run this time instead.

It's hard to tell.

If you sum it up, there is almost an equality.
The coronavirus causing a financial problem which could be a sign for a dump and then the halving hype that may cause a pump.
So, we might not really experience much movement.
The better safe thought is not expect anything. Or, it could be, that anything might happen in this situation.

At the current movement of bitcoin, I think a lot of investors will ride on this, they will be one sided forgetting about the effect of the covid-19 while thinking of a positive effect on the halving, it's all about how the whales will take this, if they'll start to hype the market, then we will eventually see a bullish market, they are in control as they have that power to manipulate.
Not whales can control the market because this demand is sufficiently increased so that the price movement is quite up now, but the whales can also be a fact of what they want to do and therefore we must know when halving will occur then an increase in crypto will be good including bullish has come.

I think it went to the bottom this year. Since it went below $ 4,000 in March, prices have been steadily recovering. And now bitcoin has gone above $ 8000 and it will certainly continue to go up because halving is approaching
Ah and why? your opinion was contradicting with the fact that is happening with the market right now. I will say that the bitcoin is about to get the next ATH again.there will be the best chance to sell your chunks. No more bottom for bitcoin and bitcoin will increase after halving. the last dump may be the last bottom for bitcoin.

I think so as well, bitcoin will has dump already when covid-19 was announce as a pandemic and we saw the panic that time, right now, it seems we are going bullish so it's a big thing since while the stocks are not attractive to invest now, we got bitcoin which is strong even with global crisis.

it takes a verry long time in order for bitcoin to achieve its value and its lowest was under 4k to 3k so i think it will also take a long time again for bitcoin to gain another higher base that can prevent stronger dips  .

for this year or on the couple of years to come i think the scenario will still be the same for a while ( same ol movements that we feel now  )  . but this isnt the reason to stop   . this doesnt limit our ability to own and use btc verry well

Guys, how many of you feel Bitcoin will test another bottom before the halvening event HuhHuh  I have a feeling that the price drop will be coming soon one last time to somewhere between 3k-4K range  Grin
Covid-19 will "end" this year, but to be honest it is not something that ends, it is something that gets cured and becomes unimportant.

There has been viruses before in the world and all of them got the same treatment, they first become something scary, then someone finds something that helps people get better but not full cure (this is where we are right now) then the number of people who are dying or infected gets lower and eventually someone finds a cure, but meanwhile the virus keeps on surviving from one person to another, never really going out forever, still existing somewhere on some human, which means there needs to be zero human with that virus and that will not happen unfortunately.

This was the same as well, just a lot bigger, so the same results will happen, it will "end" this year as in we will not care because people would barely be infected, but there will still be some that goes around and wouldn't really matter in numbers because it would be small.

There's  little fear anymore because we already surpass that big fear in the past, crypto is now bound for recovery and bitcoin might continue its uptrend going to the halving schedule, now, halving schedule should bring some hype, but yet we are seeing a little hype now, and this is better than nothing and understandable as crypto market now looks better than stock market.

I can feel that as lately bitcoin is already having an uptrend, we have broken some resistance and I believe we will break another one and that will push bitcoin's price to over $8K soon, I'm actually watching bitcoin's movement, the time has come that it made me excite again.
If the current momentum will continue, we have to expect that $8k resistance will be broke once again. But I can't expect to see that we could go over $9k during the halving. The market is still healthy as I believe but people are still more in the hold of their money as we are still facing the pandemic. This might be the reason why we can't move faster and see the Bullrun once again. Maybe we have to accept that this year 2020 isn't really the perfect time for Bitcoin to hit its peak again.

It's good that you also believe on that, however, you don't think that bitcoin will reach $9000,... no one knows mate, it's less than 2 weeks now and the halving will take place, so more hype will come, and we have to understand that bitcoin is very unpredictable, if we dump at $4000 or below in just less than a week, that's from $7K i guess, then a 30% increase in a week is not possible.

I don't think bitcoin will ever drop to $ 3000 or $ 4000. Because the price of bitcoin is quite stable at $ 7000. Even now bitcoin continues
to rise slowly, according to my predictions it will continue to rise until halving occurs. But even if a bitcoin price down, I will buy again.
Because I am confident in the future of bitcoin, even if it goes down it will quickly go up again. So no need to be afraid for holding bitcoin.
Bitcoin price today is $7700 and is recovering strongly in the last few days. I think the fear of covid-19 has dropped a lot and people are starting to return to normal life so this is a very good time for you to invest. Of course, the value of BTC will constantly fluctuate over time and you need to have a specific strategy before investing.

Technically, Bitcoin has bottomed unless any negative news come like the one declared by WHO that corona-virus is pandemic, stock and cryptocurrencies reacted to this.
Covid was declared as pandemic, crypto was affected only less than a month but after that it started to recover again until now to be exact.
Good things coming for crypto, it wasn't correlated with stocks now and I think a lot of unexpected things would happen, of course in a bullish way.

so let's wait for that patiently.

Except that, Bitcoin is on its way fro a continuous uptrend both before and after the halving

It could easily dump as well, I'm hoping it will continue to rise but I cannot say that it's assured based on its movement now as we know the history of bitcoin and crypto as a whole.
