everything can happen as you predicted. but certainly, all of that is determined by interested ones. if many of the investors who sell the bitcoin they have of course this will cause a very sharp price reduction
If many of new investors start buying then we will see sharp bounces in bitcoin price levels as well. Both must be having equal chances as of what is happening right now in this crypto space. As per my technical analysis, bitcoin has already bottomed out. The recent pull back is just a small hiccup and we can expect strong rising from here onward. But, we must need any positive news about the possible end of the current corona pandemic.

At the same time, it seems Chinese investors are too active these days to acquire almost every business which means they may show interest on bitcoins too. So, regardless of what will be happening on world economy, we may expect bitcoin to be performing good in coming days as there will be a halving for bitcoins in very short time span.

Bitcoin prices are already lower at the end of March, you can see the graph, I think there is no decline in $ 3000 anymore, strong support is at the level of $ 5,000, especially halving will occur, certainly if the price does not rise then the miners will lose  Smiley
We will see what will happen since the halving is schedule is near, some are expecting to rise, while some expect it will not move due to covid-19.

As the stocks have fall, it would be a great recognition for bitcoin if it will rise, but like I said, let's see as this remains to be seen first.

In situations like this I'm not sure the bottom will be the last because I'm not sure the crypto season will come this year, if the bottom happens for the last time, then we assume that the crypto season or the bullish market is really coming and it looks like it nothing will happen when this pandemic still messes things up.

Guys, how many of you feel Bitcoin will test another bottom before the halvening event HuhHuh  I have a feeling that the price drop will be coming soon one last time to somewhere between 3k-4K range  Grin
I would be happy to accumulate again, I was able to dispose bitcoin at a profit the amount that I bought during its last pump this year, so it should be another opportunity to accumulate, and your feeling could be right as the market is very unstable now, due to the global crisis.

We can feel that will be a good opportunity to buy more bitcoin if somehow, the price getting dump so hard. But I hope the price won't go lower than $6 although that can be possible to happen because the crypto market is too volatile right now. The important thing that we can do now prepares and be ready for the bad things that might happen so we can use that time for ourselves.

Well imo the price of btc wont go that low, but instead it will increase while the halving is approaching. This is because some investors believe that this event can trigger the price to increase thus they will accumulate before it happen.

On the other side anything can happen. You can be right with your speculation but only time can tell so lets just wait and act base on our own analysis about the market.
There's no assurance that it will totally increase while halving is approaching. But, I'm only sure that there's still a possibility that it will go down again since we are still under of big crisis and we don't know if some of the holders will gonna keep their bitcoin or they'll gonna sell it. I also believe that it can trigger the price to increase but then I can't think in that way because we all know that bitcoin is so unpredictable and just like what you have said anything can happen. That's right just stick with your own analysis and watch the movement of bitcoin so if ever it goes down again you can ride on buying the dip.

But for me, I guess its totally possible to fall again just like what happened before.

If we have a total economic crash that will for almost sure happen. We are in a very uncertain times.  If second covid-19 wave come and all countries do another totally identical lock down we are almost there. Then there can also be a third wave. But we might get vaccine. And we might be way more ready as we are for the first wave. There is a lot of Ifs and guessing. Big uncertainty.

I think we have seen the bottom already, 2018 @$3200 and just last month alone, $3800. Of course there is always that possibility, but prior to halving it could be around $5k-$6k top. I don't think that we can see the price going on the $3'ish level again, unless there's another bad news that will come along. So the worst have happened already, (Covid-19) and we didn't bounce back so there's no way for the market to flash crash again.

It can go that low but it will not happen again as the fundamental that has already built since the last big dump is much more stronger right now. People just realize even in the pandemic and bitcoin is still increasing a lot to go back to the 6k line. Just try to make sure if there will be no a big panic sell again that will happen.

well judging by the year we had so far nothing is impossible and the volatility in crypto markets is nothing new. So for no one can be sure 100% that it wont happen,  all one can do is predict so BTC halving is  the next big event which is few weeks away .... what if this time something opposite happens? As majority of people are expecting another crazy bull run!

Yeah, BTC will go to -2560 (it's minus 2560) before it starts to gain record high profits.  Grin

Haha, just kidding. You've got the exact number here, so be prepared for a big dip to take place as we might see a rollercoaster ride yet again due to halving being on the table. I see no reason for BTC not to spike high tremendously but for that to happen, it needs to push those springs deep down which it is doing now. But yeah, unlike others, now I don't see the Coronavirus pandemic to become a reason behind that drop that will be happening soon.

Why is this topic in Speculation (Altcoins) when it's purely about Bitcoin speculation?

At the bottom again? We can't decline that actually, but sorry I don't have a feeling this time even the pandemic couldn't make it.
Becoming into that market position will surely have a reason, it could for a whales trick or something that hacking events could be. Well, a lot of reason to have declined but I don't see these few recoveries will lead into bull trap nor it was because of whales. This is the reality about Bitcoin, we go up and down all the time, we shouldn't have to wonder why because of its volatility feature that lives inside crypto.

The worst side of speculation is to be forced to make a prediction before the news events and this is the bad time to enter the volatile crypto markets.
That's how people speculation, they do speculate before and after a certain news, and people have different speculation so some are correct while some are wrong, some makes money, some loses, that's pretty how the it works, basic.

Everything is possible, my guess is the false breakout after testing $8000.
What do you mean by false breakout? BTC does not show it's breaking out.

You put this threas in the wrong place by they way, you have to move it the wrong place https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=57.0

I found many article that stated the same strategy although most of them have predicted thay bitcoin price will go lower before halving event comes, they predicted the price will touch $5200 again as its lower price. It will be the right prediction since we only see bitcoin price stable at $6800 and $7200 for a few week. So it is normal that we can face the saturation point of traders and it will make bitcoin price goes to lower.

I do not know for sure. however currently prices range from $ 7,000- $ 8,000. if prices will go down according to your expectations, then obviously this will reduce investors to invest in crypto money

I don't think anymore bearish markets for bitcoins. The last year's bitcoin bottom price was around $3800 levels and this year's could be around $5500 levels hence we cannot expect bitcoin to test prices again below $6000 levels anymore. Because, we are having scheduled halving of bitcoins to happen in less then two months from here so we can expect obvious bullish markets in coming weeks or at least stable market because new people entering and people who are selling may deal in equal amounts.

Also, the current worldwide recession due to corona outbreak, may lead to big investment turning into crypto space because people must be looking for safer investments as their traditional investment opportunities are not performing well on this slow economic conditions. So, I do not think bitcoin may experience another bearish trend here after.
