BTC could go down to $5,000. What do you think?
I think the support level that had been set around $9,500 today has been broken down and therefore there are reasons to think that the bearish trend will continue even further down to $8,000. While it is true that it is impossible to predict with certainty the price of bitcoin in the long term, it would not be strange to see it touching the line of $5,000 in coming days.

Here, I deleted the previous posts and added the pictures here. There's a slight time difference because I suck at paint with a laptop.

BTC could go down to $5,000. What do you think?

I think it is very difficult for this to happen, not impossible but it is difficult to happen especially if you observe that these events that caused the price to fall may be about to end so we can see the price recovering

Wow...great news.
From today the things are gin in positive for bitcoin. It looks like we are again starting in a best period for bitcoin. Now people will not have fear. If Korea cannot ban bitcoin then no one can do it as according to that it is impossible for anyone to ban bitcoin. And it is already experienced by Russia when they banned bitcoin and after a few months they started again the use of bitcoin and they experienced that without bitcoin they will lose the future benefits.

I agree with post above. Way too much optimism still. I've been here and seen it all before, several times now. I would expect the price to crash here in the coming weeks... there will probably be a period of panic with the price falling below $1000 at least temporarily. People would be foolish to buy in at the current prices, because it's going to be a downward trajectory here for awhile.

Of course it could happen. $5K is only the price seen 4 /5 months ago - why is it not possible?
I think there is way too much optimism on bitcoin price and things could not turn bullish again until most of this unjustified optimism is given up.

BTC could go down to $5,000. What do you think?
I thought 10k was the bottom and today we have seen that to not be true, so while bitcoin can touch that price I still think it is not very likely however we need good news for bitcoin and fast or more people will begin to sell their bitcoins, it seems the only news we are getting lately are bad news and this is making the price even more unstable than it normally is.

Wow...great news.

It's very happy to hear this news, the player had accepted half of his payment in terms of Bitcoin. This shows the growth of Bitcoin in Turkey. This will surely increase the price of Bitcoin soon.At first online payment accept the bitcoin, now the salary of football player.Soon we can see the remarkable change in bitcoin price.

Quote: As chairman of the amateur club Haldun Şehit told CNN Turk, the move was completed to hire 22-year-old Omar Faruk for 2000 lira ($528) in BTC and 2500 lira ($661) in cash.

OMFG!!!!  $528 investment in Bitcoin .....  :-|

The amount may be small, but it's a start. If it works, maybe others will also start paying cryptocurrencies. Promotion through sport can well affect the image of bitcoin and improve the reputation of all crypto. That's why I think that this is good news after all.

BTC could go down to $5,000. What do you think?
I believe it could be happen since a lot of market observer said that it will drop alot this year. But i hope not to much. Because i still hoping it will rise back to 13.000$. This year blood bath on all coin being many investore on panic sell. Wish it will back to normal or many investor will loss their invest money.
It's hard to say what causes cryptocurrencies to go up or down on any given day. There are many reasons that adjusts its price like news from media, panic buying and selling which could results to affect its supply and demand. Bitcoin has already confirmed its power as mother of cryptocurrencies and I think sooner it will be soaring high again.

BTC could go down to $5,000. What do you think?

Before you try to ask something like that, first analyze market of cryptocurrencies. Does this supply 16,837,400 of Bitcoin tells you something? Technically Bitcoin can't go below 9k USD, so with this amount of supply, we can see that Bitcoin is forming average price around 10k USD.
So could Bitcoin go bellow 5k USD? I don't think so, this 5k price is just speculation for me.

I don't think bitcoin will go back to $5000.Because many countries start to accept the bitcoin and Chinese New year is yet to come.At this situation the price of Bitcoin will not reduce at all. It's always at top of Crypto currency. If accidentally it happen ,soon it will recover it's price for sure.

But btc without technology improvement will not survive,to much hash consuming
We will have new chinise blockchains much more green and fast with his own smart contracts
Thay can help both btc and etherum but must be some agreements between btc devs

I have no doubt that the price of bitcoin will go up. But even if the price goes down to $ 5,000 I won't be disappointed. As we were 1 year ago? If anyone forgot I will remind you that in late 2016, the price of bitcoin was below $ 1000. It stopped people? I'm sure that the current fall in prices will not stop people too.

Seems difficult that it will reach even till 5k. It is just getting some resistance at 10k level and if it can be near this level for couple of days than it can start rising unless we hear something negative about the btc which can pull the prices more down.

I think the floor barely touches $9000 at the moment. The ceiling also has been hitting big highs after every large drop. Looking at the trend, most likely it will shoot to another large high within next few months and the floor will be even higher. I wouldnt worry about it touching $5000.

No worries at all because we can be pretty sure about the movement of bitcoin to be pretty bullish when the panic selling and resistance subsides and I really think that it will not turn pretty bad because there are still many users holding on to their bitcoin and that includes myself, I will keep on holding to my bitcoin until it reach the point where we can see another All Time High,
