BTC could go down to $5,000. What do you think?
Everything is possible in this game and prices could go even down if every situation which at current favours btc turns to be against it although i have a feeling that this is not possible but dont invest too much that you can't afford to loose so be a wise trader and enjoy in profits and boom period and don't loose to much in recession.

BTC could go down to $5,000. What do you think?
From where did you even find your source?

Bitcoin's price would go most likely around 7000$ from This January to March then the prices can bounce back again to it's ATH depends on what is happening. as more and more Bitcoin users would adopt to Lightning network and Segwit the faster the transactions = more users and demand because of the fast network. one of the biggest reason why BTC's price really went down is from regulation and transaction speeds most of the holders sold their BTC just to just some altcoins that has faster tx time.

Don't worry Bitcoin's price would be back in no time posible to reach new ATH this year.
You are right, let us no make thread that is unreliable so that other people won't feel any panic as well. Even $8k it won't happen so nothing is to worry about. We are just waiting for the rise and not for a huge crashed again. Let us just keep this discussion more active and not just saying any lies or just a mere accusation.

BTC could go down to $5,000. What do you think?

It could obviously go down to $5000 or less. Why couldn't it? Anything is possible. If the people continue to sell into the FUD, then there will be a much higher chance that the bitcoin price could completely collapse down to $5k within a few months.

Though I think even though it seems like it's going that way, in reality we're probably getting ready for a rebound very soon.

I know that it seems crazy to say that in such a bearish market, but the $10k support has been tested numerous times and never has it failed the investors. Even today's crash didn't bring bitcoin under $10k for long, and when it did, it recovered quickly.

So in reality, even though bitcoin could go down to $5k, I wouldn't bet on it happening this year.
But with respect to current market volume, it will be too hard to get down to $5000 price levels. There will be a need of very big bad news for that. You believe and pray that should not happen.

I agree any price level will be possible because the sentiment of traders is the only force which is driving out the bitcoin prices. But one thing we can be sure about, bitcoin is known for bouncing back to new heights in very quick time itself, so we do not need to worry about any level of lower prices. All we just need to do is, keep the faith and keep on holding our bitcoins.

BTC could go down to $5,000. What do you think?

I find that quite optimistic, but not impossible.

After all, the first crash was down a factor of 10 (in 2011, from $30 ATH down to $3 in 2012)

The second crash was down a factor of 6 (in 2013 - 2015 from near $1200 ATH down to $200 in 2015)

If the crashes become less and less severe, maybe this one will be limited to a factor of 4, bringing us down from $20 000 down to $5 000.

After all, the run up to the bubble was less spectacular too: x300 in 2011, x400 in 2013, this time only x100.

So maybe this bubble was less severe, and its crash will be less violent too.

When the price was above $15000 users expressed their thoughts that bitcoin won't go low to $10000 at any instance. Later everything went upside down with the price going low to 10000. In this regard it is not at all possible to predict even after going through the speculations.

We don't know if when is btc will decrease or increase, all we need to do is to wait for increasing of btc.

Exactly, everyone didn't know what will happen to the price of bitcoin, maybe it will decrease or increase in the future. But for me, YEs, bitcoin have possible to decrease its value but not that price ( $5,000 ) however, the price was play in $12k - $10k and i thino it will rise again. Anyways, i agree with you that much better to wait for increase rather than decrease.

BTC could go down to $5,000. What do you think?
in my opinion its impossible that the price of bitcoin will fall back on that valued..Because it is a worst dip ever and i think no one will become interested to invest   in bitcoin if that times happen and those big companies who support bitcoin will exit immediately for sure and there will be another panic selling until the price become useless.  But perhaps it impossible to happen cause as long there are more people using bitcoin and support on bitcoin the price will never fall back on that price again even though the price is so volatile.

Im going to hold it, OP.

If we will really have this insanity of going from 20k to 4k in a matter of weeks, then it is not worth selling, as the opposite might also happen, at any minute and without warning.

Bitcoin is dumping, well if it hit the price of $5k for sure many people will buy it and the bitcoin will pump easily. Everything is possible but I keep my position on a positive place, hopefully bitcoin will not hit that price again. Lets see in the coming days, just relax and don't panic.

I think the floor barely touches $9000 at the moment. The ceiling also has been hitting big highs after every large drop. Looking at the trend, most likely it will shoot to another large high within next few months and the floor will be even higher. I wouldnt worry about it touching $5000.

I think that scenario is pretty unlikely, Bitcoin has built up a very strong support in the $10,000 range it has bounced up and down to this level frequently in the past 14 days only dropping significantly lower oto touch 9,000 on the 17th Jan.

Need to see what plays out with Tether in the next few days for a better idea.

I know that BTC is definitely not an altcoin and I think BTC speculation should be in the speculation thread and not in the Altcoin discussion thread.
