Hello guys,

Does anybody know why BTC is falling like a rock within last hours?

If there any specific reason or just a normal correction?

Thanks and cheers.

Nearly 1000$ variation in bitcoin price compared to few days back price. In a week the price correction will occur and the price of bitcoin reach 10,000$.To avoid loss in such interval, you have to hold the bitcoin.Only if you need money for emergencies, sell the bitcoin.Or else just hold it .

Indeed, Holding on to bitcoin at the moment is the best thing anyone can do at the moment and i am sure bitcoin will regain it's value like it did in the past, but panic selling bitcoin during the correction makes more damage to the fragile market.

Bitcoin must hit at last 15k usd in this-next month. I mean in May-June. Just some bad people want to dump with negative news spreading fuds (like Bill gates), but they cant. Most of people believe in BTC big future and investing.

And it will probably recover anyways. I'm just a bit wary of the mtgox selloff since it may cause a panic slide that can drag btc quite lower but since i'm just observing any current happenings, i'm not too worried. And btc eventually will still recover Smiley

There is no support/buyers for Bitcoin at $10,000. it is the "panic price" for traders cartel/gamblers since buyers at $6,000 will sell Bitcoin.   Grin

We could have all the noobs panic selling ar $6k indeed, but The Powers THat Be are watching closely, we don't know when will they get triggered to enter in with full force. This can bea t any time, they may decide the price is low enough for them to start the transition from gold/fiat to Bitcoin reserves. Remember the fact that the infinite debt is a nightmare that cannot be paid, therefore fiat is dead. Gold supply is manipulated and nobody knows where gold is standing right now.

Bitcoin is therefore the de-facto best way to have reserves of last resort for not only individuals but States. The question is, how low will it go before they start? who knows. I think we still have to get rid of a bunch of idiots that don't deserve to hold Bitcoin, to go to the "moon" in 5 to 10 years (and by moon I mean $1+million of course.

Well, I have not heard any negative news about yet, so believe it is a normal market correction that use to happen and with time it will bounce back to above $9,000 no doubt.

It's not even a 10% drop, so there is really not that much going on. For that reason it's quite funny when the price goes up like 10% people don't find it interesting, but when it falls 10%, they start freaking out.

Get your shit together and hodl through. It's normal for these price swings to happen, especially with how thin the market is. It only requires one relatively smaller dump to push the market down.

If the price falls down closer to the $8000 mark, which might not even happen at all, I will probably start buying some extra coins. The price broke through my buying range too soon, so this could be an opportunity for me.

There is indeed a small correction, but bitcoin is dropping less compared to other big coins such as ETH, LTC, ...
I agree with you, it's a nice opportunity to buy some more  Smiley
I also surprised what is going on? This is the main problem that many people do not invest in bitcoin. Almost $500 decrease in the price. if somebody invested $500 just one day ago he lost all his money. To be the mainstream in the future there should be no huge bumps and dumps in the price, otherwise people will not invest their money in bitcoin.

Do you realize how tiny the whole space still is? Do you know that many traders are not very experienced like in forex or stock trading?
And when you buy at price x and 24hrs later it's down 500USD, you haven't lost any money if you haven't sold! This called unrealized loss!
It seems you still have to learn a lot. Bitcoin will be wild and volatile for many more years. But these will also be the years where your ROI could be HUGE if you have the patience and strong hands, and not going crazy with every 1-10% move!!

But don't worry because maybe after few days again we will see again 10k dollars .
That's not very reassuring at all. You're telling him to not to worry but you are not sure with what you said.
Just get used to this fluctuations, and always remember to never sell lower than your point of entry unless you want to regret it later on. Whenever I see dips like these, I make it to myself that I will never look at the market for maybe at least 2 days so I will not think anything. It takes the stress out of me.

Hello guys,

Does anybody know why BTC is falling like a rock within last hours?
These statements has been published four days ago but I guess the impact was been injected today.

Bill Gates thinks investing in Bitcoin is crazy, Warren Buffett calls it rat poison
Warren Buffett says bitcoin is 'rat poison'

Bill gates so happen to be a supporter of bitcoin but why he is now saying that statements about it now, Buffet and Munger don't know how bitcoin and blockchain work, saying it is a worthless gold and a rat poison that may have a bad ending on the future? here we go again for trademarking the future, yep other people did the same bashing to the internet when it is starting look in the present they are using it what funny critics, they probably have bags of bitcoin hiding to their wallets.

I think there is no specific reason for it, I think it is just normal. We always experience some correction and I guess we must know how to use to it. Bitcoin price is not falling like a rock, it is just a normal decrease of price, maybe of some panic sellers, that's why it falls down a little.

Don't always look for exact reasons that price is falling, you will not find them. Beleive me, whatever someone might say it's just speculation. Some say that news from South Korea caused this but I don't support that theory.
Besides, it's not so huge price drop so there is no room for panic.
Volatility is natural part of Bitcoin, accept it.
Yes I agree with you that bitcoin is very volatile however as we all know bitcoin now is very liquidate cryptocurrency and there must be a reason why bitcoin is falling , news has great impact to the bitcoin community eitheir good or bad

Hello guys,

not surprising given the technicals. there was major resistance at the 200 day MA---we basically bounced right off it and crashed. that level, and the $10k psychological price, were too much to overcome.

it's looking more and more like we're in a big bearish triangle on the daily chart. this is from peter brandt a few days ago:

Exactly, i think a lot of people actually weren't surprised by the correction and were expecting it to happen. People said that we're already out of the bear market and into the next bull market, which I think is false.

Market sentiment isn't that bullish yet, it's just impossible to get enough momentum to actually push us towards a full bull market when the start of the year saw a huge dump from $20k back to $6k.

This rally was cut short with the resistance at $10k being too strong, that's the only reason. As I said, I don't see any specific news in the media that could have influenced the price this strongly.

I want to say this ain't normal but if we'll study the case on bullish trend of bitcoin last time, that ain't normal too.
this is an ordinary thing, it is not possible the bitcoin price will always go up. do not panic we will soon see bitcoin prices exceeding $10k.
Still ordinary and although it's a bit disgusting whomever is and whatever is behind this, keep on holding mates.

Hello guys,

Its because the Mt. Gox trustee is moving the coins again, so it could be that he dump it again in any exchanges sending shockwave and panic again that's why the price has plummeted again. Really sad to see, and I don't know why the hell did he offload at this time when everything seems to be back and bull run is about to happen.

Fluctuations happen anytime and this is normal. People will do have a  transactions and probably that time there were several people who made some huge amount of transactions and this gives an impact to its value. Well, if you just be looking at a long-term basis, I am sure you will see a huge increase about its movement.

I don't think we have to worry the current market condition, its all expected nothing unreasonable. It is just a healthy correction from Bitcoin because in the last few days we have been rejected in the strong psychological resistance level which is $10k.

Yeah that's a strong mindset mate, we should not be afraid of what's been happening these few days ago because I am confident and I think more people is more confident enough that this fall is just a good signs that bitcoin will eventually pump this month of May. Lets just be more positive and never lose hope, and all those struggles will be over soon.

There's no demand and as people see that the bull run is over, they are trying to sell quickly while the price is still high. I don't think that we will fall below 6k, that mark seems to be a very solid support, but prices around 7-7.5k are quite possible. If there is a sideways market in Bitcoin, we are pretty much stuck in it for now. Summer is not a very good time for crypto on average, so more movement should be expected in the second half of the year, in August and thereafter.

Looks like a combination of the raid of the largest south korean crypto exchange plus the MtGox trustee selling off another 8000 Bitcoin today. There will continue to be periodic crashed probably for the rest of the year until the MtGox trustee is done selling their Bitcoin.

The rumor has it he still holds around 160k bitcoins. Let's just hope he doesn't sell them all at once in the open market.
