Time has shown that bitcoin remains the cryptocurrency №1. The cost of the Etherium depends entirely on the price of bitcoin. I'm not surprised, especially after Buterin left the etherium team.
I think Bitcoin as was on the first place , and will remain . Etherium will be able to bypass bitcoin in a few years ...but not this year
Maybe it depends wether you choose an early profit or long term profit. Because ETH and bitcoin is different with each other in terms of how long before you get your earnings. If you prefer early profit, you should choose ETH because it gives you your profit as soon as possible after you start investing on it. And if youre looking for a long term profit that will give you big earnings you should choose Bitcoin and start investing on it. With bitcoin you can invest money and it will take a period of time before you earn. It depends on wether you are looking for quick earnings or long time investment. Choose wisely and keep helping the market to grow more.

I would choose ETH. It seems to me that the price for ETH will grow faster than at BTC.

For me both of them are good investment. Etherium has a great future/potential but I think bitcoin will still rule in 2018.

I chose ethereum for this 2018 because seeing from its price is very fast rising and very stable, if btc may now have very expensive its price. therefore I choose ethereum and I am sure because its project project is very good 
In my view this year 2018, no coin either ETH can replace the BTC at position 01. The altcoin must make significant technological progress and really be the new blockchain to be able to leader .

Bitcoin will not grow as large as Ethereum in terms of percentage. Ethereum cannot of course reach the price of Bitcoin within the year but it could probably reach x4 growth. Bitcoin might not be able to hit that. It is because of how high the price of Bitcoin already is.
