Someone should change the title of this thread to "IPO sold out!".

Just sayin.

Sukrim,

These are the remaining shares from the IPO...

now 394 left:D

I think people are looking at the potential for a diff drop which would raise yields.

If diff were to stay at estimate of 1424210.59317127 the weekly yield would be ~2.3% at the current price of .3.

Damn, in the last few weeks GLBSE has gotten some serious money flowing in it seems... Shocked

These 400 shares might even not be from the IPO any more, some ppl seemed to have put up their pre-bought shares right away (and a few even sold at a slight loss?!).

@Giga - You are a gentleman

@BinaryMage - In our geeky sort of world (linux folks abound) I thought there would be more traction on the name.  Strike 1  Grin

Appreciate the support guys!

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I like the name; it's more inventive than most of the others which don't have names. I'm just pointing out that it is yet another Bitcoin mining company.

Sukrim,

I get that (supply can influence demand) but watching people buy 100's of BTC worth of bonds the last three days that offer a poorer yield makes me  Huh

The space is crowded for sure and I need to do a better job increasing the visibility of YABMC.

Don't worry so much. I suspect the reasoning inherent in the name is the reason for your current lack of sales. There have been a ridiculous number of IPOs in the last few weeks.

I'm not sure why these are not selling.  They seem to be slightly better than the other megahash per cost offerings.  Do people just like Gigavps more along with the other guys or is there something I'm not catching?

There were a lot of similar bonds released recently and bigger investors pre-bought your shares... also there's still some time left until the first dividend at the end of this difficulty in ~ 1 week, so there's no urgent need to buy earlier as long as shares are available.

What might be a really interesting strategy, is to invest into these Pirate shares for 1 month and then invest the earnings into mining bonds like this one to migitate risk and have some more long-term assets.

Still have shares to sell and coupons to pay.

I am offering the best yield available today on the GLBSE (of the primary bond offerings).

Reminder to Pre IPO Investors - if you sold your bonds (some have - 5 shares thus far) you will NOT receive the base dividend OR the bonus payment.  Coupons are NOT pro-rated and you must be a holder of the bond at time of coupon payment.

Now up to 19 shares sold from pre IPO investors  Huh

Do the math folks and you will see that YABMC @ .3 BTC for 100% PPS per share offers a best in class return.

Thanks for that...

Yes, very similar to my plan but was going to use minute and not seconds -- I suppose we CAN (and should) get that granular.  Also, in the contract, mentioned using blockchain.info but blockexplorer.com should have the same timestamp.

Starting point for initial coupon will be 17:32 UTC, Friday April 13, 2012.  Unix time of 1334338320

End point will be the timestamp of block 177407 (end of this difficulty).

The formula will be (as taken from Meni's thread):

Code:
Duration in Seconds * 50 (current reward) * 1 (Mh/s) * 10^6 / Difficulty * 2^32

Using your data from above we get http://snipurl.com/231k71v

Coupon of:  .00892486

So you should like this calc better (.00000014 BTC more) -- we are in agreement to the 6th decimal -- again -- good enough I think

Also, update the 2nd post in the thread to detail more on the coupon payments ==> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.840944

not sure about the first payment (when you set your starting point) but in general the formula should be like this:

Code:
start = Timestamp of the last block with difficulty A (UNIX time in seconds since 1.1.1970)
end = Timestamp of the last block with difficulty A+1 (UNIX time in seconds since 1.1.1970)

duration = end - start

Payment per MH/s per 2016 blocks for difficulty A+1 = Blockreward[50 BTC currently] * duration * 1000000[=1 MH/s] / (difficulty A+1 * (2^48 / 65535))

An example for the last finished difficulty (1626553.481328)

start = http://blockexplorer.com/b/173375 --> timestamp = 1332999614
end = http://blockexplorer.com/b/175391 --> timestamp = 1334246594

duration = 1246980 seconds

Blockreward = 50 BTC

Payment per MH/s = 50 * 1246980 * 10^6 / (1626553.481328 * (2^48 / 65535)) = 0.00892472... BTC
(http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=50+*+1246980+*+10^6+%2F+%281626553.481328+*+%282^48+%2F+65535%29%29)
All in all you need for each round 4 pieces of information: Difficulty for that round, the 2 timestamps and the block reward.The reason for taking the timestamps of exactly these 2 blocks is that a miner would start mining for the new difficulty after the last block of the old difficulty was mined - until the last block of that difficulty.
