I have a question jackleszz. Now I see 21 masternods and one of them is labeled "Unknown". What does "Unknown" mean? After all, my wallet sees this masternod? I think this is some kind of problem and for those who install masternods this may be important.

Yes, that is probably a desktop computer running from home. In other words, set up in a different way (that is hard to get right), but still with the valid 1000 BTC2 as collateral.

Meaning is it possible to run the btc2 masternode in pc using non static IP?

The new top Bitcoin forks focused exchange forkonex.com now fully supports BTC2 trading as well.
- Trading fee 0.85%
- KYC required.
- No BTC2 withdrawal or deposit fee, (apart from the normal tiny network transaction fee).

We are also listed on Blockfolio app, Coingecko, Coinlib.io, worldcoinindex.com, getdelta.io app etc.
Great!
However, I don't like the KYC terms, which are a bit complicated.
Sometimes, I can not verify on other exchanges with my blurred images which I took from my stupid phones.
Anyway, congrats for BTC2 to  be there!

theres less than 1000 btc2 for sale on the exchange, so if someone wanted to setup another masternode it wouldnt be possible for that person to buy the required coins.

Not that much less than 1000 BTC2 right now, some days there were more. There's new bids and asks every now and then so even if someone can't get it all at one go, people can leave their offer there.

is there an optimal number of masternodes required for a healthy network? are 17 masternodes enough?

Always operational, with plenty of backup nodes if some go down? Yes.
Optimal? No.
The more the merrier. The number is growing as is.
After advertising and/or another exchange listing, which will lead to a coinmarketcap.com listing, things should pick up speed.

getting back to masternode rewards:  I still have a feeling I'm missing out on them pretty often.

here's what I got recently:  https://imgur.com/a/rZpyzqg
(sorry can't embed pics because newb account)

Now with 15 master nodes (and the 16th sometimes popping up), I should be getting  a bit less than 4 rewards per hour, pretty consistently. SOmetimes they do come 4 per hour but sometimes not, see the pic.

Could it be that someone has found a way to game the queue system?

There appears to be 18 masternodes online now (you can get the count on your own masternode which is more likely to be connected to them all (and thus see them all) with the command: getmasternodecount).

Most likely some of them have not enabled incoming connections and thus are not connected to or visible to all nodes. Perhaps even getting less rewards than they are supposed to because they wouldn't get all the masternode reward winner votes from other nodes that can't see them.
At least one person is also having trouble setting up a masternode in a non-standard way, creating some fluctuation.

Those alone would account for the difference that you mention. The masternode rewards system is based on established coins so if it can be gamed, lots of other masternode coins would also be affected.

Since it took longer than usual for your masternode to start getting a normal looking amount of rewards, I wonder how many connections it is seeing? And does the total amount you got in the last 24 hours seem normal if you count 18 masternodes? They might not be exactly fair to the penny in one hour as the system is not quite as simple as a standard queue but given a longer duration, should amount to correct amounts.

Regardless, we will investigate this and if needed, improve the masternode rewards queue system.

By the way, I expect Bitcoin 2 to be listed on Bisq soon, along with the release of the next version of Bisq. There was a big delay between new altcoin adds to it due to listing fee policy discussion but they said they will resume adding them now. Bisq is a decentralized exchange that uses Tor for anonymity.

Jackleszz my wallet has been synchronized for more than 8 hours, is this normal?

I think it's okay, because some wallets can be synced for a few days. so I think you do not have to worry about it. such a phenomenon is quite commonplace and not surprising to many.

They are available at https://crex24.com/exchange/BTC2-BTC. There is no bounty campaign going on, but you can of course wear it. If there's another bounty campaign in the future, it will be announced here and in our newsletter etc.
What?
Bitcoin2 has fluctuated between 2.5k and 3.9k satoshi on the Crex24 exchange.
All time high of Bitcoin2 on the exchange is 10k satoshi.
Personally, I think that the coin need more time to catch attention and capital of investors in the exchange.
After that, positive things (upwards movements) might come unavoidably.

I don't know, what speed Amazon has?

What is the last block number that you have already downloaded? Please provide as much details about your situation as possible.
Sorry Jackleszz , I did not fix it. Now as in the Bitcoin 2 Block Explorer there are 212704.

Ok, so everything appears fine then.

Yes, the BTC to BTC2 anonymous decentralized exchange will probably come first. The kind of fiat support we are thinking about would be peer to peer, like in Bisq. So anyone could buy/sell their BTC2 for fiat and for example masternodes would act as middlemen/deposit holders. Details about the fiat support are in the planning stages.
Where to buy Bitcoin 2 coins?
Additionally, I saw impressive signature worn by your account. I would like to get them and support the BTC2 project by wearing it.
It's better if I can get some money for my support if there are available paid-signature campaign.

Another thing we are working on is a way to buy BTC2 directly with cash and convert it back to cash instead of requiring Bitcoins first. This is considered for the upcoming in-wallet decentralized exchange. We are considering to have an interface to it on our website along with the web wallet so that you wouldn't even need to run the Bitcoin 2 Core software to use the decentralized exchange.
Exchange for fiat is very good, but you are an anonymous team and you will not be easy to gain trust. I think it will be of great interest if you can realize the exchange for bitcoin and make it anonymous.
