If BTCD's anon is so great, why does SuperNet need BBR?
Nice try to create some implied false logic!

I found a URL for you that should help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fallacies

Voted! (tho' i can't say who for cos it's a secret ballot)  Wink

btw just acquired my 1st, regrettably small, amount of Fibre - anyone know whether it's ok to stake the Fibre and BTCD wallets at the same time on the same machine or would that cause problems?

Thanks,

I've looked in the OP and the website but can't find a link to more info about staking.
So I don't waste anymore of your time. Can someone post a link to where I can read more about this topic?

Let me get this one.

Hi Johnny,
Here are some links that discuss btcd staking. But really, you should do your own research, slacker.  Kiss

5% of sNET revenues will be distributed to btcd stakes 'periodically' any estimates of how often this will happen or how that will be decided?

what does spendable, stake, and weight mean in the wallet

due to privacy reasons the payout has to be done with BTCD. That way there is no need for registering your address to claim the dividend.

It also means BTCD will need to be purchased from the dividend funds.

With InstantDEX likely to be the first meaningful revenue generator and its dividends being on a monthly basis, it makes sense to do the same for BTCD. All staked blocks will count with same weight and the dividends allocated to all the BTCD addresses proportional to the number of blocks they staked (relative to all blocks)

So if you are generating 1% of all blocks, you would get 1% of the dividends

Now there is no point to do dividends if the total amount is small, so the timing for when this starts is when the InstantDEX/SuperNET dividends start becoming meaningful

Thanks,

Pardon me for being a little thick. I haven't had a chance to research what staking in btcd is/means. I assume you mean something like profits from these services are in btcd and or get converted and then distributed to stakers?

Yes, exactly. BTCD stakers will be sent the revenues from InstantDEX and SuperNET. The profits will be used to purchase BTCD to pay the stakers, thus acting as a multipool.
