yes, Trezor already supports altcoins. the only reason why it is not working yet is a lazyness of the altcoin-devs.

There needs to be a client with BIP 32 support - https://bitsofproof.com/?page_id=323 / block explorer. This already works for Bitcoin so it should be easy to make it for BTCD and merge the Trezor/Card into one package

The news coming outta this thread just keeps getting better and better!

after BTCD will be implemented to the Bitcoin Trezor hardware wallet, there could be a possibility to send the card with your ordered Trezor

Whoa, whoa, stop the presses here..... is there a btcd/trezor marriage in the mix?  Or does trezor already support any crypto with a little coding?  I ordered mine last weekend, so that would be amazing news salsacz!

OK, a bit ahead of schedule. I issued the the anon card asset today!

Current price ratio BTCD/NXT is ~27:1 so 25000 BTCD is matched by 675000 NXT, which makes its sale price = 1.35 NXT per asset

The following is the asset description, very short and generic:
Issuer ID: NXT-KKNV-8EPK-W2S4-96VTK Asset number 7110939398145553585

###
NXTprivacy is proud to issue the cryptocard asset which will distribute 1% of processed transaction volumes to the assetholders. This card does not require any personal information. All of the processing and handling is outsourced to coinomat.com. Please check NXTprivacy.org for the latest details on fees and limits. Standard ATM fees will apply for cash withdrawals.
###

The initial text for the NXTprivacy.org site is:

###
We're launching debit card program for easy withdrawal of NXT and BitcoinDark funds through ATM's worldwide and online payments.

Key facts:

- The card is issued by a European bank with a good card programs track record
- This a no-name card; we would need your address for card shipment though
- Card issuance and delivery cost $40 and naturally can be paid in NXT or BTCD
- The monthly transaction volume with one card is limited by $10,000. Multiple cards can be ordered
- Online payments using the card are free, withdrawal fee through ATM is charged by the issuing bank and is 3%
- NXT and BTCD conversion is made according to the current respective exchange rates.
- Processing is carried out by coinomat.com exchange service.

The card will be launched in September 2014.

Our goal in making this card program is to provide an easy bridge for crypto to fiat conversion. In future withdrawal of other cryptos, including Bitcoin, will be possible.
###

So, what we need is to get the NXT account #'s that correspond to the people that donated. And noashh (who has helped me before) has volunteered to coordinate this to save me time. So get your NXT acct (make sure to use high entropy password) to icecoldtommy.

Once it is distributed, then it could start trading on NXT AE, actually nobody can stop this, so it should have some immediate liquidity. Plz dont complain the NXTprivacy.org site is not ready yet, this all came together much faster than expected thanks to awesome BTCD community!

James

P.S. For those worried about the need for postal address, we will also be arranging having the cards available at tradeshows for a cash basis, so you can meetup with the NXT booth and pay cash and grab a random card from the box of pre-issued cards. Then register the number at public internet shop.
The conversion rate from BTCD to cryptocard asset is very easy. 25000 BTCD for 50% of 1 million assets -> each BTC will get 500000/25000 = 20 cryptocard assets

I can transfer the half million assets to whoever is managing the disbursement

It seems someone is trying to make BTCD look like a big sell ratio by flooding with lots of small buy orders to push the total buy demand total down.
Seems that BTCD is being noticed by some of the bigger players, prepare for some roller coaster riding

James

I noticed that, only 657 BTCD buy orders total in orderbook top 50 on bittrex...
yes, we are all supposed to panic now and sell all our BTCD Smiley

Very sneaky  Smiley
We can now expect a steadily dropping price from the bots making small volume sell orders at lower and lower prices
I think this morning's unexpected rise was this operation's start to get some inventory so they can play these games. With the plan to drive the price to below where it was before they started and get a bigger chunk from Mr. WH

Has there been any work done to incorporate btcd payments into online vendors like bongocoin?  Surely if dogecoin and mintcoin are acceptable, bitcoindark should have a presence in this arena as well.  I'm just wondering if the only mechanisms for spending the currency is through games or trading sites.
BTCD -> any visa/mastercard is in the works
Now we have the funding
BTCD -> anon card should be ready in September

As soon as I am done with Teleport, I will switch back to InstantDEX and one of the first tradebots I will make is a BTCD -> BTC autoconvert bridge. This instantly gets BTCD effectively accepted anywhere BTC is accepted.

I hope these are adequate payments plan

James

P.S. I am working on issuing the anon card asset and as soon as the language is approved by coinomat I will issue the asset and then we can get it allocated and distributed to the people that donated. Hopefully we can get this done before this weekend.

I agree. It would be nice to stock up on a bunch more below .002 BTC. Hopefully those days aren't over just yet!

That day is here now, only a handful of hours since you posted.  Now, if you could, ask for some coins below .0017 or even lower.  My btcd wallet is still hungry as well  Smiley

James has a connection with coinomat.  Should be able to use btcd via Visa/Mastercard around the same time the initial version of telport is released.  That is, unless something has changed very recently.

Great news about the anon card fund raiser!

A review of MGW just came out:
https://bitscan.com/articles/the-multigateway-fast-trustless-commission-free-crypto-trading

Seems they like it Smiley

James

"soon we’ll see Darkcoin, Dogecoin, Vericoin, Earthcoin, BitcoinDark, and a bunch of others"

Is this the order MGW is being added?

No. BTCD coming asap. It's just saying the possibilities are there to add lots of coins. This is a revolutionary step in crypto, and BitcoinDark is at the forefront  Grin

That's what I was hoping someone would say.  So, you think the rush to buy in this morning's market is based off of the knowledge that btcd will be implementing asap?  I'm sure it's at least in part to teleporting, but we've made a considerable move today.
Well, we did complete fund raising for anon card, but that's not really a press announced thing yet. I doubt my "starting debugging" post had such effect. MGW has been known.

My conclusion is that the guy who had one less zero to the price at atomic trade skewed the coinmarketcap result to jump BTCD to top 20. Then there are all these 'bots/traders that automatically buy anything that appears in the top 20 as any such coin is more likely to keep going up.

Then again, it could be the extremely low number of BTC that is for sale. 8 BTC buys takes it to .003 on bittrex
We have settled in a daily volume of around 3% of total marketcap. This is a very reasonable number and much better than some crazy 50% of marketcap that was trading during the big pump (done by the P+D cartel!). Now the usual pattern for a coin after having been pumped and dumped is to just fade away or at best crawl around at 25% to 50% of peak prices.

BTCD is one giant exception! We have been gradually (until today) climbing several percents per day. This is nice steady sustainable price gain. Now we get this jump and if the P+D guys pick BTCD for today's games, then who knows what happens. I think we are in for some volatility

Anyway, back to debugging I go.

James

Bottom line... hodl!

That´s what we all hope. I´ve bought them for 16k in the beginning and sold them with a really nice win. Just to buy ´em back now for a higher price.....

Sometimes you just have to hodle for months what means decades in cryptoworld.  Smiley
