wow Shocked run to 100k sat

this is going further than that. its not even on most peoples radars yet. just wait until what james is doing goes live.

this is by no ways or means a pump and dump ether. dat der james gotz um skillz Wink
thanks, but I am just a simple C programmer

I am trying to buy some more BTCD, but everytime I try, the price keeps zooming up...
Dont want the price to go parabolic, slower linear increase is better and more sustainable
Somebody already got it onto coinmarketcap, but I asked to wait for that.

anyway, gotta go now, so probably the price will come down when I am not watching. thats what it usually does.

James

If you code, donations will come.

It's kind of a no brainer from my angle.  I want to support the guy who will help stabilize the price after the firestorm that happens after the end of POW.

Just read the thread!

its a long thread and i dont know if the first page has been updated since james began work here

True story.

Sorry for the lack of an update everyone.  I was planning on getting to it today, however I've just had a family emergency and had to rush my father to the hospital. A bit scary for a while, but the doctors have ruled out a heart attack and he seems to be getting a little better.

I'll get to the updates when I get home.  Thanks for understanding guys.

Which averages to just over 66 BTCD per block right now... thats a 17.5 % reduction in total coins minted to spec due to PoS.

This could scale up to 20% easily, and our production rate is way ahead of spec due to so much hashrate being steadily applied and these PoS blocks.

With 6250 blocks left to mint... 80% is 5000 blocks which is 400,000 more BTCD to mint in PoW estimated. PoW will end Sunday is my guess, with only 1.3M coins in circulation.
I hate to disagree with your numbers, but hasnt it been ~2 days since launch?
We are already two thirds to PoS
So at this rate PoW ends sometime Thursday and that's assuming hashrate doesnt go to 5 petahash, it already touched 3 petahash or 2% bitcoin's hashrate.

Anyway, I still WTB BTCD in bulk, but it seems the only time big sales happen are when I am debugging and not watching the market

James

It's 3000 blocks+- per 24 hours, so it's max 48 hours if not more people are going to stake and hashrate stays the same. (think both will just increase, so less than 48 hours)

Yes, it has been updated. PoW is reaching insane heights, difficulty and hash rate wise. We are now well over 1% of Bitcoins' net hashrate. James from NXT is working actively working with the devs. to implement cryptonote anon. feature along with other neat features, like perhaps a centralized, official exchange. They have been totally open about all of this and are ever-present in the community. The dev, Azeh, is a very active member here on Bitcointalk. PoS is rapidly approaching soon, meaning this coin is about to get even more rare. I believe a few pools are working on multipools to pay out in BTCD, meaning this coin is about to go to the moon.  Wink

Don't know if it's going down that much.

The diff is increasing like crazy, at a sudden moment, it's not profitable anymore for multipools, so dumping will stop.

Also 6000 blocks left * 80 = 480000 coins.

At the current price is 174BTC = not that much Smiley

many of those 6000 blocks can be pos blocks Smiley

Yes, that's true!

So maybe 3000 PoW blocks.....

That's only 90BTC worth of coins, it's nothing!

Thats why everyone just have to stake their coins, it will lead to quicker ending of PoW phase
