What is the status of the BTCD prepaid debit card project? I haven't heard anything about it for over a year, is it still proceeding? Is it still in partnership with coinomat, aka sasha from waves?

I have asked that a month ago but . . . no reply  Huh

an update here is well over due IMO

I could be wrong but I believe the cards were the ones promised by Coinomat, it turned out impossible to have them anonymous and they had to revert to standard prepaid cards through another provider. It seems they're still available

I don't know how to run on MAC, I have been running BTCD-QT occasionally on my ubuntu desktop,
and "version" : "v1.0.0.0-g32a928e" for almost a year now on a DigO ubuntu 14.04

This is a relatively old version but stable.

As for MAC, prly on the slack you will find some help:

I had the wallet running very smoothy on an older mac but the computer died. I now need to install a new BTCD wallet on a newer mac and having trouble syncing.

I did not see in OP about changing peers.dat file but came across this link. Any concern with replacing peers.dat file noted in the quote above? Last thing I want to do is install any malware. Otherwise, any advice on getting the BTCDd running on the new mac?

edit - I am not using rpcuser or rpcpassword in my BitcoinDark.conf file. Are these lines required?

thank you @bitkokos2 ! (although I would have preferred an official statement and link coming from the dev team directly)

Can you give me some AddNode for the .conf? can't sync

thank you.

p.s. warning to those that would like to buy the cheap BTCD at Craptsy : you will not be able to widthraw your coins. confirmed by support there that there is problem with BTCD

5) download and replace your peers.dat with the following: https://yadi.sk/d/kN7-KnNsewy45

Thank you very much.

Don't forget to customize the user and pass at the begining of these lines as it can be seen in:
rpcuser=customizeduser
rpcpassword=customizedpassverydifficult

There's some FUD regarding anon card which is completely unsubstantiated. We will be providing debit card solution for all SuperNET coins,
the contracts with the banking provider have been signed, they are fully aware of cryptocurrency nature of the project, 300 cards have already been ordered. We're waiting for the setup to finish. Banking works slowly, this is not cryptoworld. Debit card will be launched, nothing is failed,
just have a little patience.

Take a look at other providers of debit cards (xapo for example) - it took months for some of them to launch it, this is not easy, since there's a lot of negativity in banking regarding crypto.
As some of you might know we provide crypto to any bank card solution since several months, so it's not just some promises, they are backed by our track record.

Call it what you want, and say what you will. I initially believed so heavily in BTCD that i invested 50% of my groups resources into it. Now that there arent real updates on the things that I invested in Im stating the facts. This is your first post in regards to the status of the anon card, thanks for the update but i will continue to play the market. I am an investor not a mutual fund. I call it how i see it, If you dont like it make post in regards like you've done but don't call it F"UD when you haven't been communicating with the investors. Thats on you.

What updates are you waiting for?

What updates are there regarding the anon card? I Don't see any other than his ridiculous claim of FUD, If i wanted to Fud I wouldnt ask for updates.... I am looking to find out what issues are being had with the issuing bank ( is there an issuing bank or is it a prefunded card purchase) will the card be reloadable. What are the limits, How long until the launch of the physical card. Simple things that no one has discussed. I'm in the process of liquidating my XST, BOOM, VeriCoin, and Ethreum holdings. I need to know if I should add btcd to my list, Because my timeline is not btcd's time line its my own.

coinomat is dealing with the card. My understanding is that it is a European bank issued mastercard
definitely realoadable with ~$1000/day limits
the launch time is dependent on the bank and they do not move quickly at all, hopefully this month

James

Devs in Z-Cash and BTCD seem to be working on some new wrinkles together. That's why no one is selling.

Are you saying the Devs of Z-Cash and BTCD are working together?

come on over to the supernet slack- there is a channel #zcash, you can see what's going on there

WTB Bulk 10k+ BTCD

I would rather do a peer to peer trade than to leave BTC sitting on poloniex and bittrex.

PM me offers please

I would be very surprised if the closest you can get to 10k BTCD nowadays wouldn't be this sell offer on bittrex:

0.00340000

good to see bitcoindark holding strong, i still hold my original coins from the start

any chance of seeing this on shapeshift in the future?

Funny you mention this, at one time BTCD was on Shapeshift. As a matter of fact, Shapeshift posted a few ads to show BTCD could be traded for alts/BTC. I don't know why it was taken off but it seems after a ex-Dev of the site took some money from accounts it was taken off the site or at least so I've noticed. I didn't really used Shapeshift due to the larger fees you would be charged in addition to the regular exchange fees. I can only speculate but I think they were taken off due to the association with NXT which was also associated with Coinomat their competition.

it seems like every time you WTB, a big sell order goes up on bittrex

the order I was referring to was there well before his post, and just to be sure: it ain't me selling those 6k BTCD  Roll Eyes

that order is no more than 24-36 hours old...not that much older than the post. just my observation

It's going to be a mess if that seller removes his sell order.
Not a lot of asks besides that one.

Yeah slow and steady like bitcoin itself, it feels like value increases double when both btcd and btc rises, feels good man.

The rise of BTCD could be a number of factors I see a few people on here asking to trade BTCD for BTC out right as to not spook the exchanges upward. I think these same people wanting to become BTCD whales are now forced to buy from the exchanges so this may be temporary. Or traders are pumping BTCD for their own gain as they see how BTCD is a part of WAVES and how far jl777 has gone to develop this coin as well as other pet projects. Time will tell if these prices stick we could go up to $2.00+ or to the moon. Or the price could slump all the way down to $0.67 like it was some months back.
