Is the dev still active?
Re-reading some posts, I'm just curious how this will work when implementing the anon features and future of this coin as it states in the ann post that it'll be community driven. I respect the idea, but I just want to be clear on the dev's intentions. Based on his/her past post history it seems they're genuinely interested in making a quality coin and everything has gone well so far, but I'm a little bit wary based on the comment about them not being a technical dev. Is that hinting that the work may have to be done by community members and those interested in the coin?
Hello!

I am part of BTCD community now and I happen to be developing a cryptonote fork to add anon features to NXT. It turns out that my methods should apply to BTCD also. I will be working on integrating cryptonote tech into BTCD, but it is more than "just" cryptonote anon tech as I am also making my solution include a near realtime exchange (InstantDEX) so people can directly trade just by running the coin.

How will all this work you ask?
https://github.com/jl777/pNXT has the current source code and it is rapidly being developed.

Once InstantDEX is done, I will be adding Privatebet (peer to peer sportsbook) to the pNXT framework, plus the way it is implemented there is no reason any other number of useful services cant be added.

My efforts are in parallel with all the other BTCD coders and I try to design a clever way to integrate to require minimal changes to the BTCD codebase. So, if I succeed, then all the peoples selling at current prices will not be so happy.
There is no reason that other anon tech in BTCD can't combine with the cryptonote tech, in fact pushing tx through two independent anon algos would only help if it is done properly. So, I bring very good news to BTCD and now I expect a massive in increase in the FUD level Smiley

P.S. I am not so active on BTT, but you can find out more about me on NXT forums and jl777.org

Great to have you onboard James!

Exciting times ahead!

Great news!

Do you have an expected timeline for implementation.

Thanks!

Confirmed payouts equivalent to what i had mining at the time... so from my count, everything is indeed accounted for.

OK miners... from my math... our 620-740+ TH/s network and current rental rates means we are at equilibrium with exchange prices.

Price must go up now to match future growth.

BTCD is now on the CoinWarz voting list!!  Let's get it on there!

http://www.coinwarz.com/voting

As much as I love using coinwarz for some easy general info on the established coins... this is the #1 killer of coin value... yeah multipools integrating this into their lineup is also a killer but they use their own calculations for profitability... when coinwarz advertises it to the public like this... those that can't be bothered with math can see where the sell versus rent versus mine point is and shit just gets dumped even more.

I doubt coinwarz will add this since we will be done with PoW shortly... what is the point of it being there then?

BTCD has been so profitable for SHA256, I kind of feel like we shouldn't vote on it. If they aren't smart enough to see how profitable is is, why should we care? More profit for us Smiley A lot of multipools take coinwarz into account, maybe we don't want to be on there.
