I'm not mining altcoins anymore only BTC but it's refreshing to see a DEV use a non newbie acct for a coin. All coins should follow that as a guideline.
It adds a small level of accountability...  Grin

BTC AND DRK?

Essentially yes.  It fills a market gap and allows older generation ASIC miners to put their rigs to use again.

You lost me at PoS ... NEXT!!!

lol it's about time asic miners had a pos coin

The premine will NOT be dumped for personal gain.

I'm also a bit skeptical over this statement, but I don't believe that someone would use their own BTCtalk account scamcoin. They're practically asking for an infamous reputation if thats the case.

Yes, this is the purpose of using my personal bitcointalk.  The problem, as everyone should be well aware of, is trust, and this problem plagues every new coin that is released.

Anyone interested in BTCD can review my posting history and decide for themselves whether or not they want to place trust in the project.

With regards to the pre-mine.  As a previous poster indicated, without a pre-mine, it would be near impossible  in terms of future development.  Again, this gets back to the trust issue, and I know it is a sore issue with many.  I also have been burned on a few coins in the past and it sucks when it happens.

I'll be here to answer anyone's questions.  The intent here is to be completely open and honest.

Furthermore, I would welcome anyone's criticisms.  Please try to keep them constructive to help keep development moving forward.

If you want this coin to succeed, we really need a new logo. The current one hurts my eyes

I kind of agree the logo could be designed better. Is there a possible bounty for a new logo?

NO MORE PREMINE GET OFF

How else can a coin offer anon bounties, offer giveaways, and have other kinds of bounties?

I agree, this seems legit.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to it. I'd like to see where an SHA-256 coin goes during the crazy X11,X13 phase.

edit 8/22/14: I wish I followed and mined this coin. It's a lot bigger than I expected.

BTCD is defunct and no longer developed. For all intents and purposes it is a dead coin.

Beware of any others claiming otherwise.
