After spending hundreds of hours roaming this forum I must tell you I feel JL777 is the biggest scammer around.
The amount of BTC gathered for BTCD/superNET/NXT-assets issued by his gang is just horrendous.
And the feeling is like everybody is waiting for the miracle tech to come out if not today, tomorrow for sure.
Just scan the thread for BTCD, its almost, almost, almost there. It's finally coming together ... stuff like this on whatever page you chose.
But for BTCD in particular, I see the same wallet used for many months now. I know there is beta around, but it's almost 2 years since BTCD was born. 2 years.

Multiple coins are participating in SN, bought up by LJ (on investor's behalf of cause)
Aaaand there is new project born every day. And new ones after that. And some ideas for a brand few new ones in the middle.
I somehow have a feeling there is only one person who genuinely understands entire complexity of the system. But being invested in BTCD for awhile, I have a simple question of the godfather of this coin.
Is the dev still active?
Re-reading some posts, I'm just curious how this will work when implementing the anon features and future of this coin as it states in the ann post that it'll be community driven. I respect the idea, but I just want to be clear on the dev's intentions. Based on his/her past post history it seems they're genuinely interested in making a quality coin and everything has gone well so far, but I'm a little bit wary based on the comment about them not being a technical dev. Is that hinting that the work may have to be done by community members and those interested in the coin?

I am part of BTCD community now and I happen to be developing a cryptonote fork to add anon features to NXT. It turns out that my methods should apply to BTCD also. I will be working on integrating cryptonote tech into BTCD, but it is more than "just" cryptonote anon tech as I am also making my solution include a near realtime exchange (InstantDEX) so people can directly trade just by running the coin.
How will all this work you ask?

Once InstantDEX is done, I will be adding Privatebet (peer to peer sportsbook) to the pNXT framework, plus the way it is implemented there is no reason any other number of useful services cant be added.
My efforts are in parallel with all the other BTCD coders and I try to design a clever way to integrate to require minimal changes to the BTCD codebase. So, if I succeed, then all the peoples selling at current prices will not be so happy.
There is no reason that other anon tech in BTCD can't combine with the cryptonote tech, in fact pushing tx through two independent anon algos would only help if it is done properly. So, I bring very good news to BTCD and now I expect a massive in increase in the FUD level
