The Power Of The Coin Is Awesome!!
Bottom connection for Rpi must be done to hash. I found it here and just want to point that out for the rest.

Thanks for the info on overclocking, will get to that soon, just finishing up my temp experiments now.
At stock speed the AM-V2 hashes at between 616 and 624 GHs. Top on, top off makes absolutely no difference in hash rate over longer periods.
The machine's top two blades do run 2 C cooler with top plate in place.

While I'm here... just ordered a second AM-V2 anyone have any thoughts on stacking vs not stacking and also opinions on PSU, I have  a 1300 watt Platinum PSU from EVGA that looks like it could run two of these but BTC Gardens' stated specs call for a 750 W PSU for each.
(When I first plugged my V2 in I checked and it was drawing 634 W at the wall but I haven't checked to see how much this fluctuates while mining).

yeah, if you dont overclock them I think you can run them no problem on 1300 W PSU.

I must say that I like this miner, it is solid, and with good GH/$ ratio.

Good news
I was waiting for that.
Monday I will have A delivery DHL, 2  S3.
I will buy next time with you because that's a very good miner.

I've got 6-blades (3x AM-v1 miners) running on a single 1000W gold rated PSU, factory clock settings and running FW 0719

The rejected are not the result of overclocking but bad internet connection 2 days ago, you can see the first pool failed and I use the second. not a lot of reject since I go back to eligius .

I'm pretty sure that is the same FW I am about to start seeding with Bittorrent, I will post up info asap.

Just posted the torrent for FW 0705. Once I figure how to link it here I will (if at all possible)

what is your pool side hash rate and your hw?  For me anything over 320 clocks gives me over 6% HW.  No matter how much I adjust clocks, my pool side doesn't increase...probably because of HW errors.  Here is mine at 320 with 7.11% hw

Hi,
I have set to 340  Grin

1 You must use the older firmware 1rst of july 2014
2 I use winscp to connect the RPI

3  You must edit run.sh (I use winscp)

4 You change 310 in   --btcg-clks 310:3000   by something fun, I have chosen 340
5 enjoy

And what are the V2 specifications, we need information please  Grin

Do you know where we can get ahold of the 7/1 firmware?

I clocked to 330mhz by editing /var/www/run.sh

Got to 657gh for 2 boards up from 623. Power draw at the wall went up 40watts to 745.

I want to try 350 but I only has a 750 watt PSU. Perhaps I'll upgrade after all.

Found it (file to modify to OC) in an old post.

BTW, weird but after adding top and fans that dropped temp substantially, my hash rate fell by 15 GHs (watched it for nearly an hour and its still down). Does this miner operate more efficiently at higher temps??
Have removed extra fans and will try it with top on and off over next day. Will post results in a few days.

Let me know how editing /var/www/run.sh works out for you.  I did once while "messing around" and after a reboot it seemed to go back to stock defaults ?!?  so watch out for that.

As for the hash rate issue, this is only a guess but in all my years of computers I've not known any processors work better when hotter.... who knows with asics though, they're like black magic  Wink

So  I added a top plate (miner now has both top and bottom plates) that actually overhangs 3 inches to the rear of miner to help direct airflow. Temp on top blades dropped noticeably (more than 3 degrees C) after adding this top cover. Also added a pair of 120 mm 134 cfm "push" fans behind the miner, it doesn't even get warm now. Sooo, on to try over clocking, just have to find the right file  to modify. Unless someone has already done this and could help a newb out and tell me which it is?

Why would you put the plate on the bottom???  that plate is for the top for that very reason
I didn't put the plate on the bottom, BTCGarden did when they built it. Just like they wired it from right to left down from top. That's the way it came so I didn't change it.
So, I am guessing a top plate is a good idea that others have tried it and it helps temps?

can anyone point me towards directions on how to over clock one of these?

also, how much power do other peoples AM-V1 pull? I feel like mine is pulling way to much. 760

What are you using for a power supply?

I was using a corsair 750, which is a lot more powerful then what there web site recommended .  That 750 is now dead. so far I am very unhappy with this product (the miner not the power supply). This was my introduction to bitcoin mining, so far not so great.

now I'm using an evga 850. it has only been running for a few hours but it seems to be working.

My set is consuming 730W at 333freq giving 660Gh/sec www side/645 pool side

i am using xfx 850 pro bronze (12V single rail, seasonic)

i am happy so far Smiley

no issues, gardens are temp resistant working at 49 celsius ambient without any issues
while coincraft desks, dragons and s1 are overheating, throttling and giving hardware errors

had to move them out, only btcgardens are hashing at that location (lots of them Smiley

Wondering if I should try putting a top on my AM-V2. It came with an aluminum plate for the bottom but I think it might improve the airflow if I put a similar plate on the top as well. I've noticed that the top two blades get noticeably hotter than the bottom two. Anyone have any thoughts or already tried this?
