It was the Bitcointalk forum that inspired us to create Bitcointalksearch.org - Bitcointalk is an excellent site that should be the default page for anybody dealing in cryptocurrency, since it is a virtual gold-mine of data. However, our experience and user feedback led us create our site; Bitcointalk's search is slow, and difficult to get the results you need, because you need to log in first to find anything useful - furthermore, there are rate limiters for their search functionality.
The aim of our project is to create a faster website that yields more results and faster without having to create an account and eliminate the need to log in - your personal data, therefore, will never be in jeopardy since we are not asking for any of your data and you don't need to provide them to use our site with all of its capabilities.
We created this website with the sole purpose of users being able to search quickly and efficiently in the field of cryptocurrency so they will have access to the latest and most accurate information and thereby assisting the crypto-community at large.
23:05It just proves in this community it doesn't matter what you say, there are always people willing to come up with everything to prove you're lying.
23:05And in a small finance market it makes it worse, cause they can induce panic.
23:06pirateat40: lol bitlane
23:07I thought you wanted a bit of panic, pirate?
23:07pirateat40, it's only getting worse
23:07people think it's intelligent to raise confirmation bias to their own idiocy
23:07nathanghart, nope just another piece of FUD that was feed to you at some point.
...
23:08pirateat40: still, think about what you're offering and tell me you wouldn't have the first suspicion of a ponzi scheme or similar. not saying you are, not saying you aren't, just saying there's good reason to hold suspicion.
23:09i'd rather not ignore something that could possibly effect the market, even if they are annoying
23:10i'd ignore all of team ponzi, but they do have the effect of inducing panic
23:10pirateat40: so what can be done to transform this small finance market into a much bigger one?
...
23:10ultramancool, trust me, I know exactly what things looked like from the outside, but it did allow me to find out who my real friends were. :)
...
23:11mb300sd-bot: it made people scared enough to sell their accounts at a discount
23:11aq83, just more money which adds more liquidity on the market, which overall adds stability.
23:12aq83: would probably help if we had more transparent investments ;p
23:12pirateat40: I'm afraid the shutdown of your operation will reduce liquidity on the market, might this be true?
23:12ultramancool, investments in bitcoin will never really take off due to it not being regulated.
...
23:13pirateat40: hmm, why does that prevent it from taking off? too much scam risk?
23:13The more transparent the transactions, the less risk that will be taken so that investors are not scared away.
23:13pirateat40, so I guess we need to somehow attract the big money
23:13hmmm i'm not sure what to make of that real friends comment. Does that mean you got screwed somehow in your investement by someone who you considered a friend?
23:13pirateat40: Does things progressing slower than expected change your repayment timeline at all?
23:13Real investors with real money need accountability.
...
23:14Madoff, Stanford, Worldcom CEO, Enron, ZeekRewards all in USD
23:14regulation isn't the be all end all
23:14straw man
23:14I've handed my money over to accountable people and they still lost it
23:14I'm just pointing out a regulated market does not eliminate risks
23:14Swashy, you're back too soon.
23:15Swashy, not thus far, if things don't progress in the next 12-14 hours I'll let everyone know.
...
23:15pirateat40: Do you have any insight on the repayment schedule, such as are you setting up some automatic system that'll be repaying a lot of people at once, or will it just be a continual trickle until it's done?
23:15at least not any of the regulation that actually occurs in markets to date
23:15pirateat40: wanna light us what things?
23:15I think more transparency would help, if it were present I'd have been very intersted in BTCST... as of now I'm a few BTC against pirateat40 just because that was my gut feeling. I'm not on the forums ranting about how he's a scammer, but I just couldn't shake the feeling.
...
23:16far more worried about getting my coins to market the moment pirate pays than wheather he will pay or not
23:16mb300sd-bot: do a deposit now then ;p
23:16i have nothing left to deposit
...
23:16cr4zywork, I can't really comment on which accounts will be paid in which order. :(
23:17Hint: If you're not in the in-crowd, you're just not in the in-crowd.
...
23:17P - just seeing some get paid has taken some froth out of the market
23:17transparency and light-handed regulation (formed as a club) is one of the first steps in the market evolution
23:17pirateat40: I was more currious about the frequency of payments rather than the order
23:17cr4zywork, if you have to ask, you're probably last (like the rest of us)
23:17if ever
...
23:17tbh, this is why I went through a passthrough and I sold off my shares at 90% face value after collecting interest for quite a while. Worked out alright for me, thanks Pirateat40
23:18p0pcorn: yeah, that's probably the smart move.
23:18ultramancool, only because of past performance (or trust) but legally with it being an unregulated asset at least in the US, anyone could just run with the money and never heard of again.
19:57<[\\\]> hey pirateat40, thanks for the payout! <---- for real?
