The last quarter of this year might be a bull run for alternative coins. Some have lost significant value amost over 90% from their all-time high. XRP has demonstrated this and let see if others will follow
It's hard now, when we can see almost altcoins is in the bearish trend. We still in a downtrend market, and we don't know when it'll stop. Marketcap is just $ 200B now, we need a new inflow. Maybe the next halving event of BTC will be the best time for uptrend start.
That is definitely a possibility but I wonder if things are changing and there is a possibility that the bull market will come any sooner, the market has been growing during the last two days and the movements in the price have been extreme, maybe this means a new bull market is coming but this could also mean this is the last attempt of the bulls to try to start a bull run and if they fail the price could go down for the next months, it is too early to tell but now more than ever we need to watch the markets very closely.
Another attempt might be before ending this year, the bull is trying to come up strong and making things potentially to overcome the market.
If this trend continue to workout and build a strong barrier bull might gain strong support and start to move upwards and try to reach another
peak. Hopefully this sign of quick bounce continue and make a much better progress in terms of value.

if you simply delete one or two days from the past 6 months you can see that there hasn't been any bearish trend for 6 months! price has been rising with a strong power and we only had a single correction that took place after reaching the highest price level this year at $13880 then we had one single isolated drop that only needed half a day to bring the price to this level.
i call this a bull market that slowed down. if it were a bear "season" then price should have slowly declined in multiple steps down to this level or lower instead of having only 1 big drop in half a day!

Still bearish phase until year end I would guess.   When I look for some rise, the responce appears to be quite weak, if it does rise from an area of some support its not really running like it was maybe 6 months ago.    It'll likely come around again but I would say its resting for now, the timelines need to align together to produce bullish moves as its not just a random or common thing.   When we have the wave, the tide and the season all setup for a rise we'll get more of a slingshot move but for now its just stormy if anything but most often just cold and quiet imo.

Heres a very short term look, see if we can hold above 8050 for this moment as a line in the sand.

Funny thing is I always look at the bitcoin market as a bull season even if the price goes down.
As long as it wont reach $300 again then I am good with it.
I already made my profits so I am in for support at bitcoin by now.
I want to see it reach heights that havent been reach by other vurrencies before.
I am quite happy to see people as grateful as you are. I am also quite happy to see that the price of bitcoin is quite stable at the price of $ 8k so far, even this has happened after its decline last June. I think that at the moment most crypto doesn't experience bears or bull run. Well, until now the price of crypto has not raised the potential that could rise to tens of percent. however, I think that currently, the price of crypto will be ready for a bull run. prepare yourself buddy

Bull run might or might not be same like it was in the past as there has been so many price corrections and even if we have price increase it would be gradual increase I believe. You are right at this moment most of the crypto doesn't experience bull or bear market rather they are fighting for survival and wherein some are stabilized, one thing is for sure that the bitcoin does not belong to the border of $8,000 as it has potential to rise further but its all just a matter of time when it will happen.

Next halving of BTC might go either ways and I feel there are some newbies I mean small and mid level contributors have withdrawn their funds especially those who were expecting for a quick profit and we might see some sort of improvement only if any major organization decides to enter the crypto world or else we need to be dependent on whales to cashout when the cashin.  We don't know if we will ever have one more bull run or things will improve gradually without any noise.
Yes, I'm a retail investor too, and I usually cash out when I have profit, because market is too risky now. We need inflow from institutions, and Libra of Facebook will be the best project for the market now, to make it growth again.

Don't be too afraid to see the current price, although we are often hit by the bear season that does not mean it will continue to fall forever. One thing that is certain in investing in Cryptocurrency is that you will profit at the right time, don't rush to sell it or you will get loss. There are times when we enter the bull season and we will get enthusiasm again from the people, then it will touch the new ATH. In calming my mind, I always remember these words "Just because it's stormy now, it doesn't mean that we aren't headed for sunshine". We just need to fight for what we believe. Cheers!!

It will be hard to have a bull run if bitcoin price is still down. Few more days before the year end, and the bull run might not happen. I’m just waiting for bitcoin to hit $10k again, and if that happen I expect the price before the year end to go up for more. Bear season is still with so many coins especially on bitcoin, we need to wait.
What many enthusiasts of the market of cryptocurrencies are expecting at the end of the year is not precisely a bull run in which all coins begin to go up in price, what they are expecting is an altcoin season, they want altcoins to go up in price while the price of bitcoin begins to go down or remains stagnant, but the possibility of such an event happening are very low considering the weakness that all the altcoins are showing against bitcoin.

we speak crypto, it doesnt mean to bitcoin only, but bitcoin and altcoin too
i see bitcoin and altcoin have different season in this time, altcoin even top 10 altcoin is suck,it is still hard to pump.
bitcoin is better, it has increase around 150% from ATL in this year. it's good enough Smiley
you can see this chart, i compared bitcoin and some top altcoin (ETH, XRP, and XLM), this chart is macro view and clearly tells the season

I see that many want to see a bull run for altcoins, but why do you think it could happen? Just because the price of most altcoins is very low does not necessarily mean that it is time for them to go up, if we begin to experiment another bear season it is unlikely that anyone is going to invest in altcoins to try to protect their money, what they are going to do is to either keep holding bitcoin or sell their bitcoin and buy fiat or stable coins.

The crypto market for a period seemed to be on a bear market, and for some reason much later prices started increasing again. What can be said about the market at this period, are we on a bull or bear?
the truth?we can't tell mate because market is volatile and even "experts"has difficulties to predict market now.look at the graphs and you will find that the ups and downs of prices is getting hard to speculate

but for those who can wait, for sure prifit will wait them as well so if i were you better to keep an eye for the prices of bitcoin and ethereum since these two has the most stable price as of now
Technical analysis is not enough to actually predict the future price of coin for us, but we have to also mix it up with fundamental analysis, but I don’t know why we bother about price increase now when our investment is for a long term purpose.

We deal with a coin that is already sure of having a very big future, and the big  future will also come with a high rewarding value, so come now or tomorrow, the value of bitcoin will surely increase to over 10x of this current value, so except that we are short term traders, or day traders, it is best that we just keep our prediction for now, and just believe that the value of bitcoin when the supply is very limited and scarce will really be big which will surely be announce when the particular period of time comes.

It was already a bullish because Bitcoin already reach a highest dominance record of up to 70% for this year but for somehow it was interrupted for some reasons like many reported hacking incidents on some exchanges, big whales traps and Donald Trump openly criticize Bitcoin in which he might enfluence some businesses to withdraw their support and interest on Crypto currency.

Exactly!  We should not use the conventional approach on how we monitor forex and shares.   Crypto is an entire different, extremely new set of asset class.

The crypto market for a period seemed to be on a bear market, and for some reason much later prices started increasing again. What can be said about the market at this period, are we on a bull or bear?
I don't think we should call it Bull or Bear, because the market is in the process of adjusting prices. Bitcoin increased rapidly in Q2 when it increased from $ 3000 to $ 12000. Having long-term growth causes the Bitcoin price to quadruple in half a year, which makes things move so fast, so price adjustments appear. Price adjustments help the whole market return to its original trajectory.

We're still in a bearish period and as of todag the chart is showing that its gonna go down below $8k but its a opportunity to buy more since it will rise up after that just like the year 2017.

It's a good sign to make a buy position and make an observation whether if its gonna go that down or up since the markrt is unpredictable.

Whatever it is, either Bull or Bear this end of this year, it will be up to our strategy how are we going to have profit on it, some people don't care if it is bull or bear as they trading or holding for just short term, they are happy with the 3-5% profit , buy low, sell high, they do it repeatedly and they are earning much because of this strategy.
