I am not entirely sure if I am on negative, I haven't checked the stats for a while now but I am also investing, so I might be in "profit" sort of speaking, not because of gambling but because of investing. I started out way back and gambled here and lost a ton of money, however after a while I realized the house always wins, so instead of keep gambling and keep losing money I said maybe I can invest and be the house and not lose any money?

It worked out pretty well and right now I have been both invested and gamble as well, sometimes I gamble and lose more than I earn as an investor, sometimes I earn more from investing, it depends all on how much I end up wagering and how lucky I get that day. If I can only stop gambling and only take the profits Cheesy.

It would be appreciated if devans posts about this when he read the recent posts so any correlation between increases in betting users or bets being placed during the lock down can be analysed.

Don't be lazy and look at the stats yourself  Smiley

So, what I assume might happen during this pandemic is those people all actually coming back to gamble and that might result with more people gambling. Not that they are forced to gamble, they can still do something else if they want to, but I just feel like many of them may opt to gamble instead and that could raise the numbers.

From this point of view, you are of course right. I related my statement to "new registrations" rather than existing users who are now logging in more often.
I also assume that people will now have more time to play, which will increase both online numbers and casino revenue.

I didn't calculated it but when I visited the site, the number of online users and the betting volume are too up. It's obvious that people are at home with nothing to do on their free time. Gambling is one of the fun activity they could do without any health risk. And bustabit is a cult on its own.
True that, this can also be seen on other gambling sites. However, not only gambling, but also sites such as Facebook or online news services or games such as World of Warcraft are experiencing increased traffic. It is definitely because people in many countries are now forced to stay within their own four walls due to exit restrictions and therefore spend more time online. Gambling sites are definitely one of the big beneficiaries, since increased online activity also means boosted sales.

Has there been a spike in the number of bets being placed since the coronavirus outbreak? How has it affected the number of users signing up and the number of bets being placed at Bustabit?

I honestly wouldn't expect a spike from the Corona crisis. The beneficiaries of the "offline" casino closure are primarily large, well-known casinos that also offer their games online. I tend to assume less that a classic player who is currently no longer allowed to go to the casinos suddenly starts to play on crypto sites. I think that the necessary learning effort is too high, for example:
- How do I get Cryptos
- Which casinos support crypto payments at all
- Why don't I need a KYC here
- ...
In addition, the games are often different, for example, crash games in offline casinos are only a marginal phenomenon.

But of course it would be great if @devans proves my assumptions as wrong Grin
I think increase in numbers could happen not because people who play offline regular casino games start to play online, I believe it could happen because online players are now at home and have nothing to do. Normally you have gamblers here, people who gamble on bustabit, but not all of them gamble all together at the same time, they all play on different time zones plus many of them give a break time to time as well, they don't gamble every single day.

So, what I assume might happen during this pandemic is those people all actually coming back to gamble and that might result with more people gambling. Not that they are forced to gamble, they can still do something else if they want to, but I just feel like many of them may opt to gamble instead and that could raise the numbers.
Also many people now utilize things like fanduel casino or their local casino for online betting if their state has it legal. I doubt many people would learn about bustabit.

Been playing with the site on years too and im on negative but it doesnt matter as long i do get the entertainment i seek.  Smiley
I second this. I am also on the negative with all my gambling activities I think, if I include my short-term "trading career" as well, then I am definitely ;-) For me, however, gambling is and remains a pure hobby with a short-term entertainment factor. I would also spend money on a cinema ticket or at an evening in a bar, so I don't have any problem with losing some money as long as I am entertained.

I have never really won a big percent in this game ever. I have been playing it for 2 years now while taking breaks occasionally.
Most time I would get my capital back but never made any profits as such.
I wonder it's just me or it's for everybody.

If you "always" got even, you ran above average. Congrats.
Seriously ?
I have seen people winning quite a lot from bustabit and so I thought I must be really unlucky to not win good profits.
But yes, I never lost much too. Most of the time I made even because I would withdraw the capital and keep playing from the profits.
The profits would end eventually but I would still be happy to cover my capital investment.

Better luck next time and we know that this is how gambling works, good thing that you're on the break even side. Not all gamblers would
have the same fate or situation in talks of their gambling activity. Some do win and some do lost which isnt something new to be surprised on.

It's in the nature of casinos that some players will lose and some will win. Junya5805 won more than 100 BTC just this month, for example. You can see more examples of players that have won at bustabit on the leaderboard at https://www.bustabit.com/leaderboard.

Speaking of leaderboards, I think it'd be helpful if Bustabit added a "Last Played" tab to the leaderboard. This way users can see which big winners/losers are still active on the site.
