Really man? I think you're wrong! If you want to gamble, take the risks and always remember that when you go to the casino or online betting sites, remember that the HOUSE always RULES. You just had a bad karma that day because you still don't know how to play bustabit, and like you said, you did it for testing meaning you're new at bustabit, Give up now on gambling now man. :3

I know right. He is not even giving very good reasons. $500 to "test" noni don't buy that story. If you tests its more like $1 why do you need a lot to test you can even bet 10 bits at a time to test. I'm not sure how fair it is though. I never really trust these sites fairness rating.

if ryan wants to rig the game then he doesnt need to be online on the chat, he could always use another accounnt or even just watch the game through the database
Nope, he couldn't.

Your right, Ryan doesn't even need to use his own account to rig the game. He could just use an alt account.
If it weren't provably fair yeah.  But it is, so nope, he couldn't.

It is risky to gamble here because my friend said if ryan is online all of your bits will gone. So dont play when ryan is online.

I've heard the same kind of rumours as well however I dont really expect people to believe this. Come on people use your own brains up, if ryan wants to rig the game then he doesnt need to be online on the chat, he could always use another accounnt or even just watch the game through the database

I would suggest you guys to read https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bustabitcom-provably-fair-seeding-event-922898 to learn more about how BaB is provably fair and and how you could verify that the crashpoints are not modified.

bustabit.com (formerly moneypot.com)

Bustabit a social bitcoin gambling game in which you place a bet and cash out before the the bust event. All games are generated from provably fair distribution, and includes both a skill and luck element. In it's almost year of operation, it has become one of the most popular bitcoin gambling games, reliably handling  thousands of bitcoins in withdrawals, deposits and winnings

Bustabit i loss 0,002 bitcoin here and i stopped playing it because i dont want to loss more. Because i think in bustabit he want to win the player in the 1st game and if you win and you didnt withdraw it all of your balance loss. It is risky to gamble here because my friend said if ryan is online all of your bits will gone. So dont play when ryan is online.

I notice when I was away, phex (who's always been a helpful member of the bustabit community and script author) has made some pretty strong accusations: http://phex.io/bustabit

I suspect it originates from a misunderstanding on how the provably fair works, as it actually definitively rules out the type of attack that phex brings up (it would break the chain).

Looks like after grinding a -ev game for 31,600 games he was up around 600,000 with some 6-1 martingalish system.

He took this as solid proof that he was the first person to ever develop a betting system that was capable of overcoming the house edge.
With his system, he would be making 60-70 btc a year from RHaver.

Then he lost 47 in a row and his account went from almost BTC1 to 1 bit.  (which he turned into 7 before 0)

Can't blame himself, can't blame the house edge, gotta blame someone.

In the poker world we call these guys riggies.  They're everywhere.

Debating them should be done strictly for entertainment purposes only: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28/internet-poker/great-poker-rigged-debate-collected-threads-edition-255990/

[clipped]

If he had bothered to check "!streak <7" he would have seen that a streak of 47 busts under 7x is by no means spectacular. Martingale always seems like it's beating the system when it's running good, but it's when it goes bad it goes bad in a hurry...

I've seen my fair share of these guys too. When they're winning they attribute it to skill, and when they're losing they attribute it to the game cheating them.

They don't seem to realize that if you play a game a million times you're quite likely to witness a one-in-a-million event.

All you can do is answer their ranting with logical verifiably true responses. They're unlikely to listen to reason but hopefully the rest of the players spectating the chat will see who is making the most sense.

Whoever notices this and points it out, Ryan either secretly mutes them or even bans them.

Is quite a bizarre accusation, as I have never muted (or banned) a single person for noticing or questioning anything. Phex himself is not, or will not be muted for making accusations (as long as they don't degenerate to troll-level). I've probably engaged a 100+ discussions on explaining why and how the provably fair works, and why it's not rigged. The official provably fair (bustabit.com/faq#fair) is actually a link to bitcointalk, precisely for the express purpose of allowing anyone to comment on it, and read the comments of other people (and as such the thread is not self moderated).

Another long time community member here to say this is absolute bullshit. Ryan muting/censoring his chat has never happened, He is very open about this kind of thing. This seems like a guy who either got mad about losing or something, I don't get it.

Here's a better example: I flip a coin.  It lands tails three times in a row.  I get ready to flip it again.  Do you think it's more likely to land heads on this flip than tails?  Why?  The coin has no memory.

I really like the coin example, because people can look at a coin and see it has no memory of the past. What tends to really confuse people is more abstract things like "low game median". E.g. over the last 1000 games, let's say the median is bust was 1.9.  We know the median is going to trend back towards 1.97x -- so surely it's a good time to bet?

The coin example is actually a fallacy. Theoretically we could say it's 50/50 but the coins aren't equally weighted. Things like dirt and oils further offset this, which, in turn, alters how it flips. So in reality it's not really 50/50, despite usually being used as an example, :p.

Yeah, seems like the same guy.

He got a little cute phishing domain:
Code:
19:21 DepositBot: [FROM RYAN] GET 20% BONUS FROM YOUR DEPOSIT : BONUS.BUSTABlT.COM

Don't go to the above link, it's a scam site (l instead of i)

There are appears to be (quite literally) a classroom of kids trying to push a phishing site: event - bustabit . com.  It's obviously not legitimate, and if you enter your bustabit password there you'll probably lose your account. One person has already lost 0.2 BTC Sad Instead of completely censoring the domain, in chat it gets suffixed with "[NOTE: SCAM SITE!!!!]"  so people get an awareness of the fact there's phising sites out there (as I can't control if they email or send PMs on bitcointalk or what ever).
Seems related to this: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--1487419
