seems these guys are smart enough to make it harder for the mods to catch them easily...

I wouldn't call them smart. Lazy perhaps. Looking for an easy way to earn a few pennies.

The thing is - there is no magic method so I'd say it's fine if the spammers waste their efforts trying to avoid detection. Keep in mind that they only need to slip up 1 time and the whole thing unravels, possibly exposing their alts too.

Don't be too harsh on "officer Busimo" who was just fishing for plagiarism detection methods so that their "friends" could try to avoid getting caught. Using a new account is a good strategy. Reduces the possibility of the whole farm getting busted.

We've seen this game before. I'd also suspect that some of the "ban appeals" - particularly ones claiming it was "one time" thus begging for more examples - have similar goals.

Wow, haven't thought about it this way... but can be true...
I've already thought that spammers and farmers are also reading the forum (the interesting parts only, of course Smiley ) but to start a topic fishing for anti-spam methods... seems these guys are smart enough to make it harder for the mods to catch them easily...

I've decided to dedicate my days on this forum to hunting down on such pajeets
This is a community for discussions, not a police station,we are definitely aware there happens to be plagiarists on the prowl in the forum, but you definitely do not need to commit your days on the forum to "hunting" them down, if the forum consideres it dire, it'll assign MODS specifically for such purpose..
It's just down to you, contributing in the area you understand the most, providing answers to questions and starting up threads that'll Forster quality discussions....
Officer busimo hasn't even been online since the day this post was made,i guess he felt bad the forum rejected his application to be forum police[ /i]

Regarding help with spotting plagiarised content you dont really need much else besides google like the previous users suggested.
Just enter a sentence you think might be copy-pasted and see the results.
That's how I've found most of the plagiarized content thus far--either that, or some moron copied a post from one on the same page in the same thread.

If OP is considering a career in hunting copy/pasters, good luck to him.  It'll drive you nuts after a while if you do it too long and find out how deep the rot is on the forum floorboards.  Seems like it's getting worse, too.  And not to belabor the point I've made a zillion times already, but it's the greedy and ignorant bounty hunters who are mostly responsible for all of this plagiarism.  Until some rules are set down for bounty managers and some consequences for them breaking the rules, they're going to keep employing people who have no business being on bitcointalk.

You can also have a look here for plagiarism checker websites:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ive-found-an-alternative-plagiarism-checker-5050022
And there are several other topics in the forum where other members are hunting for spammers/copypasters/etc....
Take a look around and you'll surely find copypasters, you should start in Altcoin discussion bounty topics Smiley

Maybe this thread can help you out: [Guide]How to detect rule-breakers.Techniques and tips. But just like others have said, it's going to be difficult, most of the time the plagiarist was easy to spot because of the way they laid everything. I mean perfect English, the terms they used, and you only need just one unique keyword to start your search. And if you find someone then go and report it to this thread: Report plagiarism (copy/pasting) here. Calling for Mod action: please permban. Goodluck hunting.  Grin

Do these kinds of samaritans really exist?

Call me pessimistic, but i think you have another reason for this (thread) Tongue.

hahaha. I have the same thought. If anything, this is probably an alternate account. I'm definitely not claiming that it 100% is though. I mean, I do try my best to report a lot of plagiarists and rule-breakers in general here on bitcointalk, but I didn't see any reason at all on why I should make a thread(like OP made) for it.

Anyway, best of luck to you officer Busimo. Tongue

I am also much interested in finding the plagiarists but it is quite tough if you ask me,because the only way I know to find the plagiarist post is just copy the part of plagiarized post into google and search for answers but how do we know that the post is copied from somewhere else. Huh

You haven't created any threads or made any posts besides the 2 posts in this thread for the period you have been here, just wondering how you are hunting copy-pasters?!

Well whatever purpose the OP had if he/she will going to do this then it would be better to help cleanse up the forum from those plagiarist people. I bet there is nothing wrong to help. Just in case OP does only this post just to get attention for merit then he could not get it even 1 without proving himself helpful in this forum. OP should have made some reports on plagiarism and should post its report in this thread made by Loycev here (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/report-plagiarism-copypaste-here-mods-please-give-temp-or-permban-as-needed-1926895)

I think the most people here get busted because their level of english simply doesn't match the level of the plagiarized content, (especially in the case of text spinners.) or the content is really out of touch with the OP/context.

And ofcourse you also just have people who simply copy-paste other people's posts, which usually is fairly obvious/visible when you go through their post history/threads.

Good point on OP to start on reporting plagiarized content.

I just ran a search and came up with this; http://en.writecheck.com
I haven't used their services, so I am not endorsing it. Note, that it comes with a fee.

Google can provide you with any information you need, you just need to know how to look for it.
So meaning to say it is still best to use google to search to look for a plagiarized content. Well, this should help OP on his/her journey to report plagiarized posts.

I highly doubt that sites like these index all the forum posts made on BTT in their plagiarism filter.

You can simply search the considered texts on Google or in this forum, if the text appears in different posts, it will shows you on search results. Maybe some words can be different from the original.
