If I am way off here please tell me.

No, you are right. People who sell their BTC for paypal are plain out stupid.

They have been warned so many times yet people fall for it. I for one have no sympathy anymore.
I'm not even replying to PM's that have the word Paypal in them. Still getting a few of those every now and then.

You are selling a non-reversible commodity, so take a non-reversible currency in return if you value your money.

people post here asking 1:1 for paypal BECAUSE MT.GOX DIRECTLY TELLS US TO.

I see what you are refering to

This thread has people willing to sell you Mt Gox $ in various ways. If you post there I'm sure you can get a 1:1 exchange rate from paypal or something else.

Unfortunately I think that is very misleading and outdated information.  You got to ask yourself...why doesn't MTGOX just take 1:1 PayPal then?  I could be wrong, but from what I understand almost no one takes PayPal due to charge backs.  Even if you offer someone 2:1 via paypal, the seller is still susceptible to the charge back.  So why the heck would anyone take 1:1 paypal?  There is nothing to gain and everything to lose for the seller.

I recommend offering payment via bank transfers and wire transfers with some kind of incentive (ie at least 1% on top).

No, I am not selling any of my bitcoins...  I am posting this because I want to see MORE buyers into Bitcoin instead of a bunch of unfulfilled offers.

If I am way off here please tell me.

0.65% on each trade for both sides = 1.3% of turnover at MtGox are fees.

but fees are still at 0.3 until august 16

What are the trade fees? I'm not seeing that on the site without signing up.

MtGox earns on Trading fees - not on withdrawals. (Potentially on SEPA - not sure)

Where in the process does Mt Gox takes its cut? I see a .25 fee for withdrawing but I assume that is what dwolla.com is charging not Mt. Gox itself. How is it supported?

I am willing to accept a Canadian e-mail money transfer to either put MtGOX USD on your account, or just sell you the bitcoin directly at the market rate. There is a $10 fee for the EMT. Post or email me at [email protected] if interested.

Still looking to do $94USD for $94 Mtgox USD through Paypal.

I know Paypal has trust issues due to chargeback, but I assure anyone who is interest that I'm not that type of person.

If Paypal doesn't work and you want to say, buy a game off of STEAM, I'd be willing to buy the game for you and gift it to you in exchange for Mtgox USD.

I'd be interested in buying up to 1000 MtGox USD for EUR (SEPA) on the currenct fx-exchange rate. However, you either need a good rating on this forum or on bitcoin-otc or have to go first.
