Iota is what BTC and ethereum was. Completely new technology, microsoft, fujitsu siemens, and many more companies already onboard. IOTA dev going to be on german national television soon with Volkswagen ceo. Is there similar real world backing in btc or ethereum? no. These are the early days!
Well, i read about IOTA partnering with Microsoft and i don't know about other companies that you've mentioned. But with that alone, I will surely make me buy some MIOTAs for the sake of the future.

Is it still worth a buy right now? Since the price has risen quite rapidly, I am hoping there is a correction soon so that I can buy some cheap coins.. 
I was hoping for a drop to the 2$ range, but it got caught in a channel 3-4$. Will be interesting to see if there is a violent breakout like before. Right now it seems everyone is happy to cash-in and out at the current price.
Of course you should buy IOTA. In the long-term it has great potential. I also hope there wil be more correction and I will buy more IOTA.

Well yea IOTA was a great opportunity some people multiplied their money thanks to it. It may seem a little to buy it now but i don’t think that way. IOTA has a very bright future and buying it now will have good results in long term.
IOTA has much more potential ahead. In terms of functionality it is the best option in development for wide adoption. A simplified analysis that was offered to me recently -
"The internet of things (IoT) is, right now, something like a $1T market, with over 20 billion connected devices worldwide. If 1% of IoT transactions today are handled by iota, then we're talking about $10B handled by iota. The US GDP is currently something like $20T and the US has an M2 money supply of $14T, so assuming the iot works analogously to the entire US economy (which is a shaky assumption), a $10B marketplace should have something like $7B in high velocity currency, which is right where it's at. That number grows as both the iot grows and adoption grows, so if the IoT is a $2.2T marketplace in 2020, and iota is the transactional system for a not unreasonable 10% of it, iota would have a market cap of $150B and each MIOTA unit would be like $50"

I think not to enter at current levels in IOTA as it already in TOP 5. If it crosses 9 USD it may surpass Bitcoin Cash I think which is very challenging.
