Then post the facts for the sake of the people who are unaware, especially the newbies.

The forum should be a place of learning, not a place of spreading lies, half-truths, and deceit in order to spread their narrative.

We should ask Lightning users what the success rate is for an average Domino's pizza purchase. Haha.

@Wind FURY, I wasn't surprised if it was 10% success rate. It was less than a year ago when I first started following LN attempts at it was even as high as 99% failure rate on buys above a couple of dollars. Naturally, this was to be expected until the tech becomes more stable and more mature.

To get from 1% to 10% success rate, and to get from max funding values of less than 1 BTC and max payment values of $2 to the possible max values we are at today? The average $25 spend of this experiment, that to me is a sign of improved robustness we knew would take LN time.

The surprise is that it's taken much less time than even optimists had estimated.

This is just the start and most people doesn't see this improvement that bitcoin is getting. Cheaper fees and faster transactions and sooner or later we're going to be able to buy almost everything with bitcoin through Lightning Network.

It's just a matter of time.

whats not said by the OP's link is that the 150 orders taken is based on the fact that 1500 orders tried, but only 150 succeeded, with fold saying the issue was due to lightning. 10% success rate..

Roll Eyes Can you post the link to that information, or do you expect us to accept that to be real because it's you?

imagine if bitcoin (not LN 12 decimal pegged payments) but the actual bitcoin network(8 decimal tx's) only had 10% success rate

They are actual Bitcoins held in 2 for 2 multi-sig wallets. There are no "pegs".

Plus I believe Lightning's 12 decimal places can increase Bitcoin's utility.

Reading these kinds of news every day shows that adoption has been moving at incredible speed. As a matter of fact, I had doubts about how Bitcoin will be accepted, but these innovations are compel me to think ''will it be accepted?''. But it is strange that decentralized money is used as main money.

Not your Keys, Not your Bitcoins
It's great to see that the Lightning Network slowly gets implemented around the world. Twitter allowing users to tip will hopefully create a snowball effect and more and more companies and especially brick and mortar businesses will allow people to instantly pay with bitcoin.
