All the established crypto channels/advisers keep telling everyone to buy the dip and sell the highs. What they don't (and can't!) tell you is where those points are. I have bought the dip continuously for the last two months, and am slowly running out of money. If the dip doesn't stop dipping, I'm gonna run out of money soon. All fun and games, until the bank takes my house.

Usually, those points are called resistance levels. You have to check where those points are by simply going to your favorite exchange and looking at the buy orders. Look for where there are the largest pending orders. That will be your resistance levels. Depending on your exchange, this may be simplified by the use of charts. Do this as necessary across exchanges and you will find what point most people have large orders. That is usually your resistance. Buy close to or before that.

You mortgage your house and assets to buy into crypto? If so you forget the most important principle in trading (money management) you need strong money management skillset to stay long in this market. Just pray that one day when you wake up the market was on a bull run and you can pay off all your mortgage.

In my opinion, I don't think that it is appropriate to invest in crypto almost whole of your savings wherein that could be a problem later
where the long wait for the bull run has not yet in effect. The best thing you may consider is that set aside let's say 5% of your savings on your planned investment and you'll have to wait until it will recover back. Investing more crypto coin depends on your financial capacity that may not result to a problem on your finances. My thoughts.

The important think is to only buy the dip if you can afford to buy it with the money that you can literally burn. We could be headed for a long term bear season which would mean we might see bitcoin fall even under 3k, in which case there would be a lot of blood in alts also.

Be patient because Bitcoin price could still fall around $6000 to $3000 if we don't see any reversal on the chart. So be patient and once you've seen a reversal on the char that is the perfect time to buy on the dipped.
Although I hate the situation on the market now, I would better do not sell anything and probably will restrain from buying coins as well. This is the period when we have to wait and just check charts.

This is a testing moment for all crypto investors and also to know those who are strong to survive in the crypto world. Many including government have forgot the so many advantages associated with the blockchain technology and crying foul because of what they can gain or lose from it. The normal rule of buying the dip is still in existence. I bet you crypto has come to stay, don't be afraid of the challenges. Face it as a man. Prices will surely recover! Just one news point will do the magic.

I understand your feelings. There are too many ICO projects. We buy it. There are too many people selling them and creating a tragedy is the price after a profound exchange. I have participated in several projects before and now it is an investment loss. Hope the market in the future will be nice. I am an investor and I do not want to lose money before I am rich.

I think now it is time to consolidate bitcoin. It is already 45%, going to explode sooner or later. Most of altcoins will die this and next year. Easy money time is over, sadly. At least ICOs do not become obsolete. Can squeeze some money out of bounty campaigns. But more and more ICOs got delayed in this market. Sorry for being pessimistic. Just HODL

The problem is we are just going lower and lower and there doesn't seem to be a bottom this round. I doubt I will be able to afford to survive on crypto soon if this continues. Already my portfolio has shrunk by over 96% and shrinking further. I think the crypto market is done now and if it does not fix within the next nine months and improve I am going to have to find some cleaning job or something as all my wealth has been totally wiped out and I only have like 3 months left to live on at this rate. With all the bans on ICOS, regulations, FUD and big companies not allowing crypto ico ads anymore, I can't see much of a future now in crypto but am still holding on to the end and hoping that a miracle might happen still.  Cry

first of all do not trust any crypto channel or pump group ,they generally buy the coin and asked you to buy and sell at profit.second thing use them only as news channel or any altcoin upcoming event source, but it is always advisable to buy btc at dip as it will always rise back.

The policy that guards high risk investment like cryptocurrency market and other market like stocks and forex market is this "do not invest what you can not afford to lose" this should always be at the back of your mind when investing in any of these market this is very important. Also trading requires a measure of experience which comes from training this suggest that for one to be a good trader he or she needs to receive knowledge that will help him or her to master the technical and fundamental approach to the market which in turn will help you to know when to buy and when to sell.

I think you have overly invested in crypto. Im new to this but Ive read one of the most important tips in investment. Since cryptocurrency investment is so volatile, you cant invest o much what you cant afford to lose. This may be so common phrase but it is really important for investors not to be dried out.
The last sentence of OP wasn't literal no one here wants to lose their home just because they invested everything in crypto. Everyone that is invested and starting to invest in crypto should be aware with that rule/advice. I'm also losing some $ because of the current dip with bitcoin but I don't have any plans of selling my stored coins.

Best action now just see what coins lost most of its value and invest if only it's a solid project.
In the top 10 list from coinmarketcap stellar has the biggest percentage loss 17% from $0.21 to $0.17.

Admittedly I used hyperbole for reaction. It was just to enforce the point that many of us (most/all of us?) cannot predict market movements, and buying the dip (although good advice) is difficult when nobody knows where exactly the dip is. I have no plans to lose my house any time soon. Thanks for the concern though, much appreciated.
Good, because others here are really concered with what you said on your first post and they won't be reading this second post of yours.

Sorry to hear that, lol but why did you sell your house for the cryptocurrencies? experts always says only invest what you can afford to lose well i guess you can afford your house to lose because you invested in cryptocurrencies too much. The dip wont stop until these whales are done taking profits that is how the market works, they do buy from the bottom sell it on the peaks dumping the market and repeat the cycle.

Better than the end of crypto in which we could use to this cheapest value like before. Remember that the Altcoin starts at the cheapest value before, that we did not expect that it will become more popular and expensive in which its makes some people to become rich. Now it seems like the trade value will going back to its cheapest price as the former base line then it will be life goes on and continue holding even it hurts because it is too late if you will sell it just right now.

It is simple , if you have anything to buy, just wait and be patient. If you've been here for long, you know that this scenario is normal and it will repeat over and over again. If you are new in this field , you should do the research before you invest and expect this kind of scenario.

In Cryptocurrency, this is a waiting game, dont be rush and let your emotion rise in you.
My strategy now, is i don't check the price of bitcoin, i am trading and accumulating Bitcoin,
So when the market sentiments changes all of my profits in trading bitcoin will be materialize.

For me this is the best way for this kind of market sentiments.
