I can say as a Bittrex user, they do break out the price into USD for you, even though you are using BTC to trade for the Sia coins.  For those that want to see how much coin prices really are.

Do you think 0,02 BTC to IOTA and SIA each is a good long-term investment?
That would be a good long term investment but most people when they talk about long term investments they don’t really meant it and instead get scared when things begin to go wrong.

Buy high, sell low, otherwise you panic!
Whales profit regardless.
Whales will profit no matter what you do, but it is way better to hold for some time than to try to sell your coins at the first opportunity because that is the fast way to become poor in the world of crypto.

I have been buying coins now for almost 2 months but always with fiat money.

So I want to buy some IOTA and Siacoin and maybe some other coins, but that's only possible with BTC.
I have about 0,4 BTC (bought for 1000 EUR) so I could split 500 EUR into IOTA and 500 into Siacoin but how do I do this?

For Siacoin I need to create an account on Poloniex, then transfer all my BTC to there, and buy Sia with it? How do I know I'm not paying more for these coins, when I would be able to buy them with fiat money?

Sorry for this noob question. Trading with coins for coins is still new to me. Kiss
Not as hard as you think, you can create account on Bitfinex and deposit 0.2 BTC to buy IOTA, then create an account on Poloniex or Bittrex (recommend use Bittrex in present, better than Poloniex) and deposit 0.2 BTC left to buy SC.
If for some reason, you can not transfer 2 times and only can send all BTC to an address, can deposit to Bittrex first and use 0.2 BTC to buying, then sending BTC left from Bittrex to Bitfinex and buy IOTA

With your first inquiry you would better deal using bitcoin rather than fiat or you may try it to see the difference.
I dont know anything about the coins that you are trying to invest with.
Perhaps you could go to their ANN threads to look for more help to which you could buy their coins cheaper.
They would lovely help for that.

Only way is to render your skills or create some business with digital currency acceptance. You'll be provided with the digital currency and there is no need of going behind fiat for such needs. Else need to find the other ways of earning through the forum as well different campaigns.

well I would ask myself if in 5 years I do more likely see people using the coin for payments or will it be dumped to 0? because that's what will happen somewhere in the future and whatever you do, don't expect they will rotten at the exchange forever. Those coins were expected to be currencies which can be spend and get something real in reward... otherwise they're useless...

This is not possible to buy  a crypto coin without fiat while you are buying first time. If you have BTC or other crypto that is you have earned from free of cost or any faucet claim or doing of any task then you can exchange your coin for your choice of investment in Bittrex or Poloniex the most tradeable exchange.

Bitcoin is the reserve currency and that's what you need to buy into the smaller altcoins. Very few altcoins can be purchased directly with fiat.

That's 54 USD, for someone this amount of money is pocket money for someone else is a good part of a salary.

If you can "forget" about this investment then go for it, don't expect to be rich within a short period of time.

Both of them are new coins and I think that have a good potential to rice within one year or so.
Sorry I meant 0,2 BTC ofcourse Smiley 500 EUR in each coin.

I am sure that is a question you will have to answer yourself because no matter the positive or negative reviews you get, you will still be the one to make the decision couple with the fact that its your money on the line in this case and any outcome from such investment decision will be borne or benefitted by you and only you alone.

Just grab a calculator and calculate how much $ would take you to get 1 SIA when buy with BTC and compare to how much would take you when buy directly with $. Dont forget withdraw/transfer fees when sending among exchanges.

In general less exchanges you use better it is, and bigger exchanges you use better it is.

You can compare different prices at the exchanges here https://www.worldcoinindex.com/coin/siacoin
There you can see Siacoin is listed at Polo, yunubi, and Bittrex. (I don’t know yunubi, so I don’t know if its quite safe).
Create an account there, send 0.2 BTC to the exchange, buy Siacoin, transfer it in your wallet and relax. Same as well for IOTA.

You are worried buying Sia coin with bitcoin for a higher price rather than with fiat?

Then calculate the current rate of bitcoin, current rate of siacoin and estimate how much you will receive minus the bitcoin transaction fee and minus 0.15% or 0.25% poloniex fee.
