Hey guys
actually i am preparing my first small mining rig but my budget is kinda low..
soo i need suggestion on which gpu i should buy. i am from india so online prices are ridiculously high
the best prices i can get from local market is

nvidia gtx 1080ti 11gb - $1191
nvidia gtx 1070 8gb - $641
nvidia gtx 1060 3gb - $290
nvidia gtx 1050ti - $213
nvidia gtx 1050 2gb - $152

amd rx 580 8gb - $412
amd rx 570 4gb - $400

My max budget is $2100 for gpu

what will be your pick in this budget with these prices for maximum profit and future proof ?
Well electricity cost here is $0.07 kWh

Hello! I'm also a beginner in this "mining thing", but I recently did my own research and I found very useful info right here. Hope it was helpful to you, too!

I can say for sure that buying a 1050 and 1050ti this is a very bad investment of your money, 1060 3 GB is not always good, the rest can be use, a lot depends on who made the card
Wrong. I have a 12*1050ti rig which gives 190 mh/s stable on eth. Also due to my tower frame, it takes less space then a average 6 gpu rig. It all depends on what price you are getting the card.

The problem with your argument is that it doesn't take into consideration power consumption and the long term costs. Consider the following ETH mining example:

12 pcs 1050ti  mining at 15 MHs using 50w each will give you a total of: 180 MH for 600w
08 pcs 1060    mining at 23 MHs using 75w each will give you a total of: 183 MH for 600w

Which is more efficient? Also, it gives you more density to your rig. You won't need to buy multiple motherboards, SSDs, RAM, etc.

My 1050ti gives 15.9-16 MH (190 MH).
Secondly 1060 is heavily dependent on the silicon lottery. I have 12 of them and only one has Samsing memory.  No matter how much you oc them at best you will get 19.5 MH out of them.

It is better to wait until the new nVidia cards out in the next few months. They will be more efficient.

They will probably be nigh unobtainable for most people.  At least for a while.

Why do you say that?  I'm sure they've been manufacturing them for months.

That is a horrible price for a 1080ti 11gb. I wouldn't pay more than $750 for a 1080ti, so that's about $400 too expensive and ROI will be ridiculous for that kind of price.  From that list, it looks like your best options are either RX580, or 1050TI in my opinion. I would honestly search for a better price of 1080ti's though, because that would be the card to go for if you can manage it. The price on these cards seem so arbitrary and you should probably expand your search.

Hey,
Thanks for the suggestion sir , today I checked with another seller and I can get 1080ti OC version for around $800
Buy as you said ROI will be too high.. I am thinking to get ×2 580s and save rest of the money and hold it for another 2-3 months and wait for new Nvidia GPUs to show..if I can get a hands on them otherwise will keep searching for 1080ti below $700 maybe
If you buy GT 1080ti and mine other coins, you may luckily get roi in 1-2 months but currently your max profit daily is 3.58 on whattomine.com (once it was more than 10$ for 2 weeks).
RX580 is great if you don't like risks and prefer stable profit but I suggest you to get RX580 Sapphire nitro edition, this is considered as a best rx580. I have heared that armor version is cheap but very bad in cooling and hashrate too.
Also consider that bitmain is going to release asic for ether, it may change the game.

Yes.. right now I decided to mine crypto algo.. when the new GPU comes out.. I will look into it.. otherwise I will try to get 1080ti or rx 580 at reasonable prices

And about bitman Asics I saw someone saying it will be coming in November 2018 😕
Don't know when it will come and details related to it, have no idea how the hell are they developing asic miners for ether but it can absolutely change GPU mining of ether, just look what they did to siacoin.
See detailed information about mining with these GPU's on 1stminingrig.com it's very useful.

Why don't you wait for the new GPU that have been rumored to be out soon.
The hasrate must be faster, but the price must be will be higher that the current release.

Hellae rocks!  I used this guide when I was setting up my first Vega's last year.

http://vega.miningguides.com/

He references some of what is in Hellae's guides.

$621 for a Vega 56 isn't too horrible considering the recent XMR fork.  I paid $500/gpu for my XFX Vega 56's at the end of November 2017.

Thanks everyone for helping me out...

I just end up buying a AMD Rx Vega 56 for $621.. they only had a one piece in-stock soo I think I made a good decision

It only has a single fan.. 😐is it really enough to cool down this GPU ??

By single fan do you mean that you bought the reference edition? The black blower type one like in this photo:

If so, just make sure you follow the VEGA mining guide by hellae which is linked below. Modding your VEGA for optimum power consumption and heat is crucial.

Well you will find that soon enough Grin It depends mostly from your air flow in your pc case and how much undervolting you apply to it and also what algo will you mind with it,with cryptonight you should be safe in any case
