The GPU of choice will depend on the altcoin that you would mine. If prices is not a concern I would definitely suggest the GTX 1080 or a AMD RX Vega 56, but I would highly doubt that you can get it below $500 as most prices of both GPUs is around $700. For now budget wise I can recommend the GTX 1060 6gb since it is priced well in the GPU market with a good performance, the issue her is that the GPU memory which will affect hash rate as some algorithm prefers different memory depending on the manufacturer.

You mean algorithm right. All the time you will not find the difficulty on each crypto. It will changes as the price bumps and dumps in the market. This is happening because of the miners who are been part of mining on various coins mate.

Moreover when you want to buy the mining card, you please buy the card which can able to give more hashes and that card is from Nvidia brand. Then it is much to invest your fund over there. Else you cannot all these thing you please buy and hold the coins for more years.

It's obviously relevant.  How else do you think a POW network is secured?

nvidia gtx 1080ti 11gb - $1191
nvidia gtx 1070 8gb - $641
nvidia gtx 1060 3gb - $290
nvidia gtx 1050ti - $213
nvidia gtx 1050 2gb - $152

amd rx 580 8gb - $412
amd rx 570 4gb - $400

That is a horrible price for a 1080ti 11gb. I wouldn't pay more than $750 for a 1080ti, so that's about $400 too expensive and ROI will be ridiculous for that kind of price.  From that list, it looks like your best options are either RX580, or 1050TI in my opinion. I would honestly search for a better price of 1080ti's though, because that would be the card to go for if you can manage it. The price on these cards seem so arbitrary and you should probably expand your search.

Hey,
Thanks for the suggestion sir , today I checked with another seller and I can get 1080ti OC version for around $800
Buy as you said ROI will be too high.. I am thinking to get ×2 580s and save rest of the money and hold it for another 2-3 months and wait for new Nvidia GPUs to show..if I can get a hands on them otherwise will keep searching for 1080ti below $700 maybe

Actually a 1080Ti earns about as much as 2x 580, maybe slightly less.  At $800 the 1080Ti is the best buy on your list.  But I agree with others that now isn't a great time to buy new gpus for mining.  Next generation of gpus is around the corner, and altcoin prices are relatively low.

Mining different coins require different GPU. So you should think which coin you want to mine first

Hey guys
actually i am preparing my first small mining rig but my budget is kinda low..
soo i need suggestion on which gpu i should buy. i am from india so online prices are ridiculously high
the best prices i can get from local market is

nvidia gtx 1080ti 11gb - $1191
nvidia gtx 1070 8gb - $641
nvidia gtx 1060 3gb - $290
nvidia gtx 1050ti - $213
nvidia gtx 1050 2gb - $152

amd rx 580 8gb - $412
amd rx 570 4gb - $400

My max budget is $2100 for gpu

what will be your pick in this budget with these prices for maximum profit and future proof ?
Well electricity cost here is $0.07 kWh

Prices are too high, I do not recommend to buy at such prices. Best option in your list is rx 580 13.73$/hash in eth.

is Mining still relevant?)))

It is if you are mining for long term and don't want the quick buck and taking a long time to Roi doesn't bother you at all because you see mining as a hobby which in the future can also give you profit.

If you ask because you want some quick profit then mining is not relevant.

1060 have best roi for your prices, and rx 580 8gb good too. 1070 and 1080ti have bad times for now, and cost too much for its profit

Yes that would make sense especially now that Nvidia may release their new cards in June the 2080 but they will be expensive.

If you have made your mind up that you want to start mining why not buy any of the new cryptonight asics that are power efficient and have good profitability, I dont know how long this profitability will las though as with other asics as l3+ lasted only 2-3 months.

These asics will be out in may I heard and some in April from different companies.

I would not buy now with new nvidia gpus comming and all the asic popping up.

I completely agree with this guy. Not advisable to buy GPUs this late. There is the threat of ASICs (for Ethereum and other algos/coins), the upcoming ETH switch to POS (end of mining), and more. Basically the risks are stacked against you at this point.

Unless you already have the hardware, it may no longer be wise to start mining today.

Okay, soo I was gonna do some gaming in free time.. also
And some mining to get some coins .. what if I buy 2x 580s for a bit gaming and some coins and save rest of the money and wait for new Nvidia cards.. and buy them for mining I heard it's only 1-2 months away.. 🤔🤔
Will it make sense ?

But my experience would suggest 1060 as the power efficiency is better than amd. You get more hash power for the same amount of money compared to 1070. Even the 6gb is beter that  1070

Get the Rx580 so you can buy up to 5 of them with your budget and later add another one with your earnings probably after 2-3 months.

Get these cards as they are more verstile than the nvidia counterparts and are more efficient in ethereum and ethereum based coins. They are also better mining Monero. Nvidias are better in Equihash and Neoscrypt.

mate, I'm sorry, but where do you live?! the prices you've posted seems pretty high, I'm not sure that it is wise decision to buy cards on such high prices..
believe me, the prices well be cheaper very soon, it is happening already..  so for example gf 1080ti normal price in us about 800$, not like $1100 which is really high.. and same with gf gtx 1070, good price for it about $420-450

I just checked with another seller and yes the 1080ti OC I can get for $813
And rx580 8gb OC at $398 and used ones for $300
