On what basis would you call overcome ?
Is it in Market adoption, Market cap, Trading volume ?

Bitcoin is the original and its more stable than any other altcoins currently in circulation. It counts a 85% dominance and all altcoins are just 15% in the crypto space.

I would guess that having an altcoin which overcome BTC in terms of adoption, trading and price is feasibly impossible right now. It might happen in the future when the adoption of crypto currency and decentralize systems/apps in general becomes much bigger.

As a payment currency, I can see Monero competing with BTC (in future)

Nothing lasts forever, so does the BTC. There are more potential altcoins which can overcome BTC. But I think ETH has the most potential.

Bitcoin is revolution but i believe now it is not so perfect.
Yes, the blocksize debate was telling me something

POW is good but future is POS or maybe something completely new.
PoS is the future. it will be to be true soon.

Blockchain is too large and will continue to grow over time.
Hyperledger is an evidence.

Most miners are concentrated in China, wich is not good if we want Bitcoin to be money of the whole world.
Looks like a lot of manipulations.

So this, and many others problems  will be overcomed by new coins and projects, maybe not now and in few years,
but in future will be, for sure.
Honestly, there are some already offer a fixing feature of bitcoin. LTC are similarly with bitcoin, but bitcoin has stronger caused by his history.

- I don't know but I think in the future there will be something that can replaced be Bitcoin

Unless that aspiring alt coin will surpass the market cap of bitcoin and will get a lot of potential investors that are willing to invest into it and trust it.

- How long??? I think it will be a long time

No one really knows on when this is going to happen but to make you confident, it's better if we are not going to think about this because this is somehow impossible as of the moment.

- I believe that nothing is forever, sooner or later  Bitcoin will disappear

If that is so then fiat will also be replaced first with BTC  Grin
- Yes, nobody knows the future, we can only wait and wait
- The time will tell everything

Technically maybe one day in the future there will be another altcoin that will have some really big technological breakthrough but for the near future I still think Bitcoin will dominate, at least for the next five to ten years. I may be wrong of course.

Currently there is no, Ethereum will be a good candidate, they have genius devs, but frequent hard fork discredit the coin. But IMO Eth is still very bullish in the future.

A corporate based crypto can overcome BTC easily.
-Provided,it should be adopted by the community.Possibilities of which are zero.
-People are motivated to use cryptos because they want to get rid off the corporate shit in the first place. This is something the corporate cannot force.

every altcoin have opportunity to overcome btc
Well,I should have been stop reading the post considering the amount of illogical stuff that line holds.

but as 2012 said, but its need more step to do from each of the dev to make implementation or mass adoption like what bitcoin do, beside that the technology from the altcoin should not under in bitcoin and the dev should think a new innovation that more than bitcoin so they can do upgrade their technology to be new step in crypto currency.

Open-Source is way to go.No one cares how taleted your developers are.

Still possibility exist for any altcoin to overcome BTC but how that is very big question at that level when without huge adoption and superb top notch technology still hard for buggy project to challenge the BTC.

Maybe. But as of now i dont see any significant altcoin that will actually replace bitcoin. Look at the price and you will know. Bitcoin is still reigning in the position in terms of price and market cap. I dont see any altcoin that is close enough to be a contender. But we'll see after 5-10 years. Maybe the story will change. Bitcoin is getting stronger and stronger every year of its existence. So it takes a long time to be replace.

Bitcoin is almost 8 years old and ethereum and monero are just 2 years old. They have to cross long duration to reach the bitcoin price. Ethereum was first considered that it would overcome bitcoin, but due to hard fork they  did, it lost its trust to some extent. Monero is also best in terms of anonymity and recently it introduced ring signature. Bitcoin is still the unbeatable crypto currency and i think its very hard for an altcoin to overcome bitcoin.

So far I don't think that there is an altcoin  can overcome bitcoin, because all of the altcoins are just clone by bitcoin, which means they cannot reach the high price for what bitcoin have right now. And if that happens it will take several years or it can be a decades. so my conclusion is NO! or none of the altcoin can overcome BTC.

No. It can not. Bitcoin is still number one. No altcoins can overcome bitcoin at the present.

With so many altcoins coming out that are mostly premine,I don't think there's a coin tat can overcome Bitcoin at this time,it is still the number one coin in the coinmrketcap and the gap is very huge that I don't think any coin will give bitcoin a fight.
