I think ethereum quite can compete with bitcoin and as a result overthrow him from the first place. At least because at ethereum continuous progress, and bitcoin marks time.

It will not happen anytime because bitcoin has the most popular of all cryptocurrency. There are many coins being competitive in bitcoin but still bitcoin on top at this time even in the future it cannot replace by other coins.

I think there is no crypto currency which can replace Bitcoin, at least in our nearest future.
The most successful and valuable altcoin right now is Ethereum, but it is far away from replacing Bitcoin despite its high potential and value.
Bitcoin will keep its first position on crypto world for several years, most likely.

You're right. At least for now, bitcoin would be the one dominating the market because it is the cryptocurrency that has the most supporters. Although its technology is what we say the most basic in terms of blockchain technology and it has many flaws, still it is the most famous of them all and people still want to accumulate it and make it as their long term investment.

Maybe one day, like ethereum will be able to get as much supporters as bitcoin then it will be the one that will dominate the market. It has the highest price as well so people especially the newbies wanted to get a share of it. Bitcoin also has cards so it is easier to use unlike other cryptocurrencies.

Yes, Bitcoin is being pursued by all cryptocurrencies, but it is difficult or even impossible to go beyond Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a blockchain from 0 to 1, and for now, except Bitcoin, other The cryptocurrencies are pseudo-decentralized

Bitcoin is the mother coin of all crypto in digital currencies. Also, bitcoin is the most famous and expensive coin nowadays and I think, because of the status of bitcoin, no one coin can replace bitcoin.

I know the dominance and influence of bitcoin in the crypto market today, all crypto users use bitcoin,
but the possibility exists? very likely there are more sophisticated competitors, and very likely the bitcoin will look obsolete right?

There are many cryptocurrencies out there, the fluctuation is wide and big. There’s a need of a coin that uses a process to stabilize its value.

No doubt that there is no other cryptocurrency or altcoin that can supersede the bitcoin. At least not for the next 5-10 years. Of course there are many rising competitors like Ethereum, ripple and litecoin.

Do you agree???

anything can happen in cryptocurrency, bitcoin could suddenly collapse and be replaced with another coin. no one will know about it, and it's hard to predict.

Considering the fact that bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency does not mean it cannot be replaced. There are so many altcoins coming in the pipeline which I think as time goes on it can catch up with bitcoin. It only needs time.

no other crypto can outperform bitcoin to date. even I believe, within the next decade bitcoin will remain a crypto king. that's why bitcoin greatly affects the development and decline of the market.

Right here right now nope. But in the near future probably yes. They're several candidates. Wink For me personally I believe in project such as Kelvin Blockchain. Sure it can. But it will be when this "any other" coin will bring more profit than bitcoin. And now on the good old bitcoin you can still earn a lot of money. And it is of great value in the eyes of traders and investors

It is very likely that bitcoin and ETH may be replaced by altcoin better if they are not properly developed.
Investing can be profitable with the altcoin in the top # 50 on Coinmarketcap.
Good luck everyone

I don't think that any other crypto can replace bitcoin and there is no sign that any other coin would do so in near future. But there are a few more established altcoins such as Ethereum, Neo, and Litecoin, that have got the potential to match in future.

Replace in terms of what is the main question here. Popularity wise, I think it is very tough as Bitcoin has been a pioneer for crypto currency. In terms of valuation, there are many opportunities as many good projects are coming on blockchain with improved algorithms.
