It is quite interesting the way you put it with your post, because it is something I have seen on their places around the internet, how so many people see the age of 18 or 21 as a magical number when the person changes completely come comes to the feeling between good and evil. In reality, there is not much difference between someone of 17 years old and other person already in their 18 years of age. It is a spectrum of psychological behaviors and maturity, it is not black a white.
the age of 18 is a line which was placed legally by most of authorities and governments in the world, because they came to the conclusion most people around that age are capable enough to consent the loss of their money and also able to manage the earning of money through other means: like working.

by the way, it is not about having time to go to school necessarily, there is people who are in their 20s ans they do not go to school whatsoever. It is rather about not exposing children who are indeed going to school, to gambling and addictions (including alcohol).

You are right, absolutely agree with you, things people are addicted to has a way of making them feel guilty themselves when ever they try to advice or stop another person from doing the same thing, and to avoid feeling that guilt, most people won't try to advice or stop anyone from doing the same thing they are doing, even when they themselves know it's something wrong.

Most parents who are addicted to gambling always end up with sons who are possibly gambling addicts to, except if by any reason or means, the children don't get exposed to gambling all through their young/teen age, then by the time they are adults, their brains are already well developed and can clearly decipher what is wrong to do from what is right to do, by then, they might even be the ones that will help that addicted parent .

For those parents who are addicted to gambling, there is no way to prevent their children from gambling. But those who are not addicted and try to keep their children safe might be able to keep their children out of gambling.

I understand what you are saying that the bottom line is that it doesn't matter whether you are a minor or not, or whether you are a seasoned professional gambler or a newbie just getting involved in gambling at the end of the day the casino doesn't care about you, simply put the casino only sees that if you are involved on their site then you will be one of their victims who will end up losing a lot of money. In gambling, as long as you are up to the age of 18 and decide to gamble, it's not the business of anyone to restricte you. No body cares if you are experienced or not, casinos want to make more money and it's only when you lose that they can earn more that is why they will not bother if you have experienced or not. I dont believe much about 18-21 years old when it comes on legal age which this has been set by the government on which i dont see for it to be accurate but since this is already that been ended up on being a traditional number then it do becomes permanent and this is something that will really be followed.
