Thanks for sharing this list of 80+ odds hardware wallet list. I never knew that there are so many wallets available in the market and not just  Ledger and Trezor.

Can anyone tell if all of these wallets are secure and we can use them ? Why everyone talks about only Ledger and Trezor when they suggest the hardware wallet ?

Since that list of hardware wallets has not been updated in a long time, many devices on the list are no longer available, and some new ones have come out that are not there. There is a better list of devices that is updated periodically by FatFork in the Croatian board: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/velika-lista-hardverski-novanici-80-5285324

You can even compare prices (unfortunately, some prices are in Croatian Kuna) and some basic device information, such as whether the software is open source or not. I cannot say for certain whether all devices are secure. It is certainly less likely for a device to have security vulnerabilities if it is open source and generally popular in the community, but that can also be a disadvantage. Popular devices are more common targets of hacker attacks.

Many here recommend using a hardware wallets to store bitcoins. Overall, this is a good solution for beginners due to its simplicity and ease of use. I support the recommended devices (because for beginners it is better than without HWs despite some of their shortcomings), Ledger and Trezor, but other options exist as well.

[BIG LIST] Hardware wallets (80+) - perhaps you will like another device from this list, and not just Ledger or Trezor.

Yes, there are many hardware wallets but most people will choose the one that people use the most and is believed to be safe and reliable.
and don't store bitcoins in one platform, online wallets work great especially blockchain wallets.
But if you want to store it in a more secure hardware wallet, and my favorite is the ledger and the second choice is Trezor which in my opinion this hardware wallet also has a backup option and is still the most preferred choice for many people.

I recommend a Trezor hardware wallet I've been using it since the first model. Now I have the newer Model T. It's great for bitcoin and Ethereum etc. If on a budget and you ever find yourself getting more involved with alt coins a ledger wallet would also work great.

I believe the number one safest way to store your Bitcoin, is you understand how to securely use a Bitcoin wallet because if you make use of a good cryptocurrency wallet and still don't have good knowledge of using crypto wallets safely.

The wallet will still get hacked because you'll expose the wallet to danger not knowing.

Trust wallet is enough to save your large number of bitcoin and crypto currency,it can be set with password.Which is asked, when ever you get into the wallet. So it’s better to get your assets on trust wallet.I had hold my bitcoin since 2016 in the Electrum wallet.Because Electrum is best ever wallet from my knowledge.Only thing is you need to hold the private key as a safer one.
Right Trust Wallet is currently very popular and very securefull wallet. Here you can keep everything very safe. You will be asked before entering the trust wallet. Also I have seen very hard system. It goes without saying that there is no possibility of hacking. You can also use a Binance Exchange account to hold your Bitcoin.

After my wallet hack case, namely myetherwallet a few months ago
Sorry about your loss but myetherwallet is a web wallet and all web wallets are vulnerable to attack no matter how secure it seem to be.

made me have to store assets in several places, and currently I use 2 exchanges wallets namely binance and huobi,
Yes, Binance backed their holding with SAFU and I don't know about Huobi but it is not advisable to use a crypto exchange as storage and i will advise you to get a Ledger wallet which is $50 some months ago.
I don't know if the price has changed.

and 1 trust wallet, for trust wallet I keep 12 seeds and I change 2 words randomly so that if anyone finds it will be difficult to guess.
I hope you copy the wallet seeds offline and also save them offline though. This is very important cause the remaining phrase of the wallet seeds can still be recovered.

I think, Trust wallet is the only best & secure wallet for Bitcoin. This wallet is controlled by 12 digit private key. This is a very secure wallet.

Trezor brought from official store is undoubtedly the safest place to hold your bitcoins, not only it provides maximum security but it's easily portable as well and keeps you safe from hazzles of losing your private key because even with a private key one cannot access your wallet until the hardware device is with that person. But if you are not in for spending this much money a simple electrum wallet will be good enough as well, it will serve your purpose of storing coins and keeping it safe, just don't forget the private key and you'll be good to go.

The rules of thumb when it comes to picking a way to store your coins, always remember that if you don't control or have access to your private keys then these aren't your coins, technically speaking   Tongue ...with that said options you could go with is using a  cold wallet best option for hodlers or you can go eith much easier wallets to use such as the electrum or coinomi wallets both which gives you access to your private keys or if you want something more tangible a hardware wallet would be a good choice to but a small investment will go into this one.

Nothing lasts forever
It's not enough to store them on hardware wallets.

Just saw this news earlier - Pinellas Park cybersecurity expert stole over $500K from client, police say

Apparently, the guy saw his client's Trezor and the password in the same area while setting up a security system. I know it sounds stupid but many (or some) of us could easily commit this mistake since we tend to become complacent in our own homes. So needless to say, be more careful where you put your wallets and PW. Any of your friends/neighbors could come into your house and steal them from you.

Yeah, that is absolutely right. Why would anyone enter a password to their crypto holdings when someone is around.
I would be paranoid enough to take even the hardware wallet out when somebody is around.
So in this case, it is absolutely the client's fault that he was casual enough and didn't take precautions.
Using a hardware wallet is still the best choice when an individual wants to hold his funds for a long time.

Seems you got many suggestions here regarding the safest wallet. So you may pick from there now. I am using Ledger at the moment and sometimes use Electrum for small funds. But really I feel secure with Ledger. More important to secure your funds is how are securing your seed phrase. If you can't save your seed phrase and get compromised then even Ledger won't able to secure your funds. To learn more about cryptocurrency and how scammers trying to scam us.

I've been using ledger as well but to be honest, the best security that we could have is awareness and being keen. Any form of wallet is hackable nowadays but if we're knowledgeable on how to protect and handle our funds, we could store them safely. The best thing to do is to never store all your assets in a single wallet and always protect and keep your seed phrase.

Is it safe to store in online wallets now?
Online wallets are password protected and they can be easily stolen by hackers through a lot of ways. It’s be possible that you will risk your credential to be public. You can try cool storage like hardware wallet.

Cold storage (or offline wallets) is one of the safest methods for holding bitcoin, as these wallets are not accessible via the Internet, but hot wallets are still convenient for some users.

The consensus best hardware wallets pretty much tends to be either Trezor - https://shop.trezor.io/ or Coldcard- https://store.coinkite.com/store/coldcard . I personally think that Trezors are overall better than Ledgers, and I think the Trezor T model just makes things easier. Either way Trezor or Coldcard you can’t go wrong.

I had a bad experience because I store bitcoin in a wallet that has a private key, because the data is stored on a PC and often online, my PC is exposed to a malicious program so that I lost assets worth more than $2000. and this makes me prefer to store assets in top exchanges that I previously completed KYC and enabled all security features.
Storing all your assets on a centralized exchange is like depositing money in a bank and there is no guarantee that your assets will be safe.
You don't hold your own keys and they can freeze your account whenever they want.

If you are a day trader it makes sense, but never put all your assets on exchange and leave only the balance you need to trade. It's best to buy yourself a hardware wallet.
