well bitcoin looks as the safe and secure way of economy and I don’t think it is going to lead towards bitcoin ever, it will keep the using circle of the bitcoin save and secure from the germs of the corruption because it is very safe currency and the reason behind is not the corruption at all mostly people use fiat as corruption and I never heard about bitcoin corruption and it will never happen ever.

i wonder why bitcoin always be linked with things that are not good such as corruption, money laundering or drugs but in this case in my point of view bitcoin cannot lead people to corruption because it all pure from the bottom of their heart to starting corruption but indeed bitcoin could be the tool to storing corruption money
This question has been asked several times, my opinion with this things it is because was open to everyone whether the individuals are good or bad bitcoin is just a tools where it depends on the person how they're gonna use, if it is for good purposes or illegal activity.

We all know that there is corruption everywhere, like in government or any other organization. Because of money, corruption can always happen with greedy people who always wants more money to them. Since bitcoin can be considered as money, can it also lead to corruption?
Ofcourse, as long as money is involved into a certain thing, organization or business, corruption is expected. Money is so powerful, and yes, even if Bitcoin is decentralized, there is a possibility . There might be ccorruption in campaigns or bounties when it come on the tokens or reward to be distributed. No one knows where it  might particularly to happen.

Corruption can actually THRIVE with the mainstream use of bitcoin. Think of all these anonymous operations government authorities can process to stuff each others pockets with money
Even still when the bitcoins are not very common or legal in many countries, people are doing corruption day and night without even coming into anyone’s notice. Bitcoins are better than fiat and I don’t think so there should be any problem in making such a cool currency legal around the globe.

How would you know. We all know that bitcoin is money. So if you can get many bitcoins. Or you teach many people about bitcoin. Maybe their status in life is being stable especially in their financial needs. Btctalk can give money so how can it lead to poverty. I dont think so. This is just my opinion.

Bitcoin can lead to corruption, because it is not even a currency, but a very valuable investment. This is an excellent opportunity to develop corruption through its anonymity.

Bitcoin not only leads to corruption but it fosters it. Since bitcoin assures you anonymity all you have to do is loot public funds, and buy bitcoins with it. There would be 98% assurance that you’re never going to be caught.

This depends heavily on the way that you use to acquire your Bitcoins. If you wire your funds to an exchange, you can be caught quite easily, because
most on-ramps for fiat are following KYC/AML requirements, which makes you lose your anonymity.
There are several blockchain analytics companies, which track funds (e.g. for the IRS), which is actually facilitated by the
public nature of the BTC blockchain.

Take a look at:
https://www.chainalysis.com/

Your assumption might be true, if you buy your Bitcoins using Localbitcoins or a Bitcoin ATM without verification.

Any valuable thing and currency including bitcoin can be used for corruption because of human greed. Corruption will exist as long as there is human greed.
The best answer to this thread! Indeed corruption is not related to any currency or mode of payments etc, it is related to human nature. The greed is in us, not in any currency. We are driven mad by this greed of becoming rich in short time. Corruption can only end if we all stop doing evil deeds and get back to our right tracks told by our religions.

Unfortunately, bitcoin is already actively used in corruption because of its anonymity. The whole reason is in human greed and while people will be greedy, corruption will exist with any currencies.
We must understand that corruption is not related to the type of currency, it is related to the users. If we are mistreating any currency whether it is digital or fiat, it is purely our fault. It is not only bitcoin that is used in the black market because before bitcoins this market was active too.

What kind of corruptions you are talking about? Bribes? Money laundering? Insider trading? Every single one of those existed before bitcoin and they will exist after it. If bitcoin made being corrupted easier, so what? Internet also made so many crimes possible. People even can hire hitmen from the internet. Do we blame the internet for that? No. Every technological advancement comes with pros&cons.

Exactly once, it's all back to the user again, if used for good then it will be good, but when used for bad things it will also be able to ruin it all this tergantuing from the purpose of bitcoin users themselves

What the SEC is currently doing is trying to remove the anonymous nature of bitcoin, this becomes controversial and will eliminate the hallmark of bitcoin, but in the end we will understand one thing that bitcoin should enter the public economy legally, bitcoin must also be as per the existing rules In order for everything to run smoothly. Currently bitcoin is a well-tested medium used for corruption and various money laundering activities.

Of course it can be done because the nature of bitcoin is not real money, so bitcoin can be misused by people who want to hide their income from the government.

YES it can because some of the people saying that bitcoin is the best wallet that we can use to hide our money, politicians can do it also, if someone has to investigate what is their treasure, they can't find it because they are using bitcoin to hide their money , so it can lead to corruption.

I don't know why everyone, non bitcoiners , are thinking that bitcoin is leading to the corruption , why not everyone are thinking in the positive ways :/
Here personally before to start my life eith the bitcoin make a question and made research about that in the Google and found that it cannot lead into corruption because it is not easy for us to cash out bitcoin simply by anyone , All people have respected life in this world and why they will support bad people for illegal work .
And if think if a people is making use of bitcoin for illegal purpose then where he will cash out , he will surely needed the bank account to have bitcoin value and this will result into the need that from where he got this bulk amount of the earnings .
So in my opinion there is no such chances of the scam or corruption like thing to happen in this world .

yeah but it will happen if the bitcoin get centralized bitcoin today is not centralized right , decentralized meaning the government can't just take some money there and they cant manipulate the price as long as it is decentralized it can't lead to corruption.

to answer your question. it is a yes. why? bitcoin is anonymous coin. corruption will be. and has be. human nature are greed. everything that involves money sure lead to corruption.
You are right and therefore we cannot expect that the government will not touch bitcoin, as it is getting more popular now the more the government will be regulating it. That way, they can monitor and trace transactions that are illegal, such as money laundering which is widely happening all over the world.
When there is a regulation, we have to abide the rules because that is only for our own good, if we will make an illegal activities then that would be depending on us, its our call anyway.
