Those 10-15 crypto-currencies may really fight for the leading position in the nearly future, but I doubt that anyone will be able to move Bitcoin from this position. You see, Bitcoin is kinda limited edition, so everybody want it and that's creating the greatest demand which is growing day by day. The price for bitcoin will grow together with people's wish to own some. Exactly this fact is making bitcoin the King and this fact will stay it so.

eah already are doing isn’t? I think they can very much co-exist and not just these too. I completely believe that down the line in next 3-4 years, I will be 10-15 Crypto Currencies that will be fighting for the top spot, so they all will co-exist and there is no reason why they can’t. The market is so big that it’s easy.

The real question should be, can altcoins co exist with bitcoin because bitcoin will be always here. Bitcoin has better support, a bigger community and a very active one. Altcoins including Ethereum are usually pump and dump coins, sure someone can make money with them by buying low and selling high because those have even higher volatility than bitcoin, but that's it, they are not as mainstream as bitcoin so their long life existence is not guaranteed compared to bitcoin.
yes in fact bitcoin is the first most currency created on the earth as mostly for online purpose and now we can see that all the other crypto currencies are the copy of bitcoin, i think not only Etherium but a not of other crypto currencies will exist, but still bitcoin will be on top and no other crypto currency will take its place. i am hopeful that with the passage of time the importance of bitcoin is increasing from time to time.

Bitcoin is a specific ledger that runs on a blockchain. Bitcoin which because it exists on a blockchain is peer-to-peer and decentralized currency.Ethereum is an additional layer that can sit on top of a blockchain and provide what they call “Smart Contracts” that can be used for anything from a wallet to ownership identification, to proof of signature.
