Bitcoin can be used by ordinary people but most important is they must be interested with it, and must have full knowledge about the system of digital currency. If ever they don't have that kind of perceptions, nothing will happen to them and they won't gain profit from bitcoin. Most bitcoin users were investors who earns profit and also relying from what they earned from their investment, like in trading which ordinary people were not yet familiar.
Bitcoin is usually used by people interested in technology. I mean, persons with a certain technical knowledge are interested in bitcoin.
My observations are that way. I think Bitcoin needs to reach larger quantities. Can use bitcoin in people who are not interested in technology?
Can people use the bitcoin in the profession group like tradesmen, teachers, housewives, firemen, butchers? Are we going to see the days that these people use bitcoin?
Consider current problems regarding nodes, devs team, miners, block size, politicize mining, higher fee, I really doubt that will going to be happen. This technology not going for mainstream used instead of limited used by some people which could afford to learn and accept bitcoin transaction. Of course why not.Today is a modern world and everyone can access internet. In that case, everyone of us can use bitcoin and all you need to do is to study about it. I think bitcoin can be used by ordinary citizen just like me. All of us can use bitcoin for our daily expenses. Bitcoin is open to everyone not only the rich person can access but all of us. You need to study about it to manage your bitcoin properly and to avoid scam. Thank you that's all

We are all considered ordinary citizens since we are not a military personnel, government worker, politician and thus we belong to that category. Most of the bitcoin users are or were ordinary citizens of their own state and will continue to increase in number. But bitcoins is not just limited to ordinary citizens but to all citizens in the world.
I think this will only happen if bitcoin will make its product so simple and easy to use that any human being in the world can easily understand it like any other fait or digital currency.
The original idea of p2p cash is damaged due the fact that satoshi didn't realize raising the blocksize to massive amounts would not make it p2p cash anymore.

yes obviously ordinary people could bitcoin as it doesn't require any special skill to operate. we have to just enter bitcoin address and the task is done. Only during initial stage people might find it difficult but late its will become easy as water.
Maybe it's because we're the ones who easily assimilate the bitcoin concept and soon begin to use it without having too many troubles, we would start to think that it would be an easy task for others too. But after many times I tried to explain how to use bitcoin to my parents, they seem to get new problems every time they do something with bitcoin.
I think that yes, everybody could use the Bitcoin as a currency for their transactions, but just the ones who are interested in technology and in informatics could understand in depth how it works. Exactly like how just the ones who know a little about economics can understand in depth the work of "normal" fiat money.

I came across with some ordinary citizen from my locality as well as from other region. THey are mostly gamers, freelancers and few just casual trader. But no shop owners are ready to accept BTC, though few know about it. It can be used by ordinary citizen, if it gets some promotion by Government. Otherwise it will take time for BTC to be used by all the ordinary peoples, because I found out that they fear the volatility and backward thinking.
Why not... Everyone can learn it when it is necessary to use bitcoin. if it could make their transactions easier, I don't see any hindrance that they can't learn how to use bitcoin...
Don't forget that before, we don't know how to use cellphone, how to use computer, but due to the reason that we need it and it is necessary, we started to learn how to send text messages, and to send an email... So I think, same as in bitcoin, if they found it useful in the future, then they can learn how to use it...

That's true! People with interest in technology are usually the user of bitcoin and people with zero knowledge about technology are struggling to understand the concept of bitcoin. That is the reason why Bitcoin is still considered as a payment system of internet and not for the mass.
People with technological interest will be able to adopt bitcoin faster and they will also try to find new avenues to spend that money. That is one major roadblock for the bitcoin to be known as the currency of common man. However, with growing reach of technology, bitcoin is also spreading at a very fast rate. So probably 5 years down the line, it would be able to become the currency of common man.
I use Bitcoin because I like technology and new innovation. Another reason I use Bitcoin is because I want to have access to online payment. I believe that Bitcoin will become universal and will be used by a lot of people. However, I do not think it will happen anytime soon as Bitcoin is still a very tech-focused currency. There is already a lot of projects that aims to bring Bitcoin to people who have little or no interest in technology. in fact there are so many reasons for which i like bitcoin and i think the most common is that bitcoin can be use as online currency and anywhere in the world. bitcoin is the most popular online currency of the world and hope that it will continue as number one crypto currency. i am also hopeful that very soon all the people of the world will be using bitcoin for online purposes as well as for offline. If an ordinary citizen can use other payment system like paypal, I don't think they cannot adopt with bitcoin. Actually paypal is more stricter as you account should be verified first before you can avail of their service but in bitcoin, it's very simple and you can make it fast since no third party to approve or reject your application.
Because bitcoin is not in paper form, does not find application among ordinary people.

I don't see any reason as to why not these people can use bitcoins. If you can understand Math or any other basic stuffs, you're also able to learn how to use bitcoins. We, the bitcoin users, aren't some sort of special people that have higher class of minds than the non bitcoin users. We were once non-bitcoin users. Bitcoin share the same concept as any other currency but there are some differences. You use bitcoin to pay for things, just like fiat. Huge difference is that it's decentralized unlike fiat. All of these can be learned by everyone if they study it enough. Some might not get it right away but it's okay.

first there needs to be some place they can "use" bitcoin at. if we want to talk about usage. then if there is a place to use bitcoin just the way there is a place to use credit card, even if "regular citizens" don't understand the technology behind bitcoin they can use it with their phone Apps, with their third party services that make it easier and so on.
Yes it can increase the usage rate. People do not need to know about the technical infrastructure. Simple ease of use that people need. For example, anyone can shop with credit card without knowing their technical infrastructure. It is practical and easy to shop with credit card. The use rate will increase if bitcoin is a develop application in this way.
Yes ofcourse. Bitcoin is just like a real money there are no limits or there are no requirements in using bitcoin. Any people can use bitcoin. It just a matter if a person is working hard and a person had a interest and knowledge about how to earn bitcoin while using it.
