It could be if there would be no need money in the world. When the bitcoin was born who know that! You or me or who? But from that time to now it still alive and more powerful than previous of any time. Bitcoin survives a lot of time into the hard situation and still strong than previous time. So, what you are thinking now?

Currency failure generally occurs due to the type of hyperinflation, and there is always the potential for technical failure, currency competition, political issues and so on. As the main basic rule, there is no currency that can be considered very safe from failure and difficult times. so is it possible that bitcoin can become worthless?

The answer is yes. Because of inflation and it's volatility, it has a higher chance to drop to zero value and be worthless. But because of the mass adoptation from crypto enthusiasts these chances of being worthless has been minimized.

the adoptation of cryptocurrency can prevent the bitcoin to be worthless, in fact if people are continuously using cryptocurrency in different ways it will helps sustaining it worth, and even the bitcoin is on its 10 years of existence it is still on development, over the years it has a great changes and people are continuously using it.

Whether Bitcoin will become worthless depends on community and supporters. In my opinion, there will always be someone who will support the network (even for fun) and even if appear better solutions than Bitcoin, there will always have value even for collectors.

For starters, bitcoins is deflationary (unlike the inflationary fiat currencies) in nature and there is somewhat intrinsic value to bitcoin, at the some point in 2018,it cost about 6k USD worth of energy to produce one bitcoin.Fiats often fail when governments go too greedy, attempting to give value to some worthless printed paper with fancy colors.Bitcoin will always have value cause its value is derived from its users, not by decree

Yes it's possible for bitcoin to become worthless, if someday the bitcoin price dropped to under $10, i'm sure people will stop using bitcoin anymore.
Are you sure about that? bitcoin still has value if it ever goes down to $10.

And you know what? people will not stop using it because the demand will rise and its going to be an opportunity for everyone to avail cheaper bitcoins.
I think in terms of demand and total supply in Bitcoin it will indeed have a very strong influence on the price of bitcoin, just imagine if Bitcoin is not mining anymore and it is very difficult to get bitcoin then the price will be very expensive and of course the price bitcoin won't be able to return to the price of $ 10 again.
By that time when bitcoin isn't mineable, we already have reached the total supply of 21M.

And most of the miners are going to mine just to confirm our transactions.

Yes it's possible for bitcoin to become worthless, if someday the bitcoin price dropped to under $10, i'm sure people will stop using bitcoin anymore. Many people will leave and it makes the bitcoin price more low and low, soon the bitcoin will be worthless. I hope these things will never happen though.
I think what you imagine will not happen, we see the world of technology is always developing and providing human needs in a practical way. of course with the presence of bitcoin a new discourse for the transaction world later. and I think the pros and cons at the beginning of the process are common

Things that continue to grow over time and it's true that Bitcoin is the beginning that will make new things grow and grow. you can feel that you live in a digital age.
Yes it is not going to happen ever, as time passing bitcoin is getting value and importance, I am sure one day we will see bitcoin the only worthy investment because it is well known, it is digital era for sure so we really need digital currency to move with passage of time, it is age of technologies and bitcoin is the best technology now a day.

You could've come across lots of countries currency going onto inflation in a very small time period. This has happened due to economic collapse and upon various other factors associated with it. With bitcoin the entire market is completely unpredictable, and several predictions were put forth by users stating that it could go low. With the current market progress there isn't any possibility of going worthless. About the future nothing is assured.
the value of bitcoin is very much determined by market demand. then as long as there is a request from market participants for bitcoin so long as it is also bitcoin will have value, so it is valuable or not all depends on the business actor itself.

all possibilities can occur in cryptocurrency including bitcoin which over time is not valuable at all because of several factors that occur.
but I don't think this will happen because the bitcoin capitalization market itself is very large and there are big people who are very influential in the world who also have investments in bitcoin, so they will also continue to fight so that the future prices of bitcoin and crypto markets can improve for the better.

No,For my opinion impossible! Why? Because I believed bitcoin ..And currently some merchant start to discover how bitcoin transaction make our lives easy..not only bitcoin there are some altscoin too..accepted for payment so impossible to bitcoin become worthless..instead bitcoin is a great ASSET like gold soon...

You have a point but not all of those merchants really want to use Bitcoin as it is so volatile and they will be having a hard time tracking their income and they will be unsure if it will be staying or not. The reason why Bitcoin will never be worthless is that there are a lot of people using it and still, even investing in it. As long as people are using and investing it, it will never be worthless.

As long people make transaction bitcoin in exchanger, i dont think bitcoin will be worthless. Development in cryptocurrency still in progress and if mass adoption happen, i am believe bitcoin worth to invest and became profitable investment in the future
In which the percentage of people currently using BTC is still very low compared to the population we have worldwide and BTC is still popular, we have almost 32 million active bitcoin wallets that has been created so far and the figure keeps increasing on a daily basis, with this figure alone, it’s enough to keep Bitcoin usage on for decades not to talk of when the whole countries fully adopt it.

The solution Bitcoin has brought to the financial industry alone will always give Bitcoin an edge over other forms of traditional currencies.

with that being said, i really don't think bitcoin will be worthless in the future. it is the other way around. bitcoin's usage and popularity is growing, so it translates the increase of demand and with its fixed supply, the only possible scenario is to increase its value. though we are not really 100% sure of its future but the likelihood of going to the positive direction is very high.

I don't think bitcoin one day will become worthless and I don't think a day will come when bitcoin will turn to zero in value.  I believe that bitcoin is the future of our financial system and we have to invest along that line.
as we have experienced, indeed we really do not have to believe that the bitcoin will be worthless. because in my opinion it's all not possible. moreover the development of bitcoin is also quite high, and I think it's hard to consider bitcoin to be worthless.

everything might happen because we know the nature and risk of the crypto currency we don't predict the price in my opinion as long as there are investors holding the currency the crypto currency will still be valuable for investors who hold the currency

In itself, everything can eventually be worthless, be it Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency, gold, shares, fiat money and so on. Nothing is really safe from being worthless at some point. So I wouldn't give it much thought, because such a scenario can happen to any thing that is worth something. Who can really say today what will still be worth in 30, 40 or 50 years? I don't think anyone.  Wink

indeed for bitcoin to reach such a number it will be difficult because there are still many bitcoin users and with the passage of the era in gilat there will definitely be a popular increase that will make bitcoin valuable

Too much value of Bitcoin is a negative trend and we should not overdo these ideas too much. Clearly, bitcoin can handle inflation and it always grows and grows over the years. But limited supply also makes it difficult because if everyone uses Bitcoin, it won't be enough to meet.
so I think we should still use 2 currencies to create a stable and developed economy.
