At this rate and adoptation, seriously? I don't even think about it. That's too far to happen and nearly impossible. It will never go back in worthless because of widely spread adoptation. Even a 3-digit price is almost impossible to see again the how come it will go back to nothing. Btc has done and survived such scenario already.
although bitcoin price go down again it will never be worthless.bitcoin technology was breakthrough in new payment system.and also its not only about currency but bitcoin technology about effectiveness in every system.and also much institution developt and trying adopted bitcoin.

The bitcoin repeats its pump and dump cycle but you can never say that bitcoin will be dead or of no value. This can never happen as we can see the future monetary system being controlled by bitcoin.

It might happen though I am not saying that it will, but still evev if the chances are low, the possibility is there. Also, don't say thay the future monetary system will be controlled by Bitcoin since we all know that the government will not accept a volatile and decentralized crypto currency, if that happens though, the whales can control countries and economies, you don't want that.

Currency failure generally occurs due to the type of hyperinflation, and there is always the potential for technical failure, currency competition, political issues and so on. As the main basic rule, there is no currency that can be considered very safe from failure and difficult times. so is it possible that bitcoin can become worthless?

I don't see any possibility for at least near future. In the near future (10 years) there is no sign it can be worthless. However, we still don't know the real potential of quantum computers, for instance. Quantum computers may compromise the sha256 hash technology. For now, no need to worry about it though.

In my opinion,  any currency can become worthless at any point of time.  In a situation of war, currency of the loosing country got worthless.  In the same way BTC can also become worthless if some other technological development occur.  It might be possible that some other virtual currency may develop with some better feature or a new concept which people likely want to adopt. But at this point of time I think BTC has lot of potential to grow.

no by this time it's impossible for bitcoin to become worthless. people are so much addicted to it and many people have also invested their everything into it that for their profit they are fueling the crypto's life.to become true worthless it needs a solid opponent which as we know only altcoins can. but currently we have not seen any successful altcoin btw LTC and some other altcoins are only some which reached very close to Bitcoin.

Right now, bitcoin is solely driven on demand. So yes, bitcoin can be worthless if everyone plans on dumping it or this technology of blockchain is replaced or someone is able to hack in the blockchain. In all of the above cases, bitcoin will lose the value to the extent of being worthless. But I don't see any of these happening even in distant future. We are just getting started.

Definitely yes. If all transactions stop in bitcoin to the point of reaching zero in value then it is worthless but as long as there is you and me patronizing it, using, buying, selling and trading it it will never reach zero value and therefore it will not be worthless. To answer your question is yes but to answer if it will be worthless is no because majority believes in it.

It's really true that every currency survive in different time with different issues .But i never seen them being finished it can be worthless .However bitcoin is the best digital currency in the world .It has great potentiality and well developed .Btc has survived much in the recent past with lots of fake and false news . It has started to recover in its own way .Btc has shown its not worthless in the past and not now at all .It can be less in price but never be worthless .

Inflation always detracts from the value of money by printing a lot of paper money. But Bitcoin cannot print more because the total supply fixed so it cannot fall into inflation and its value increases based on the number of people who want to own it through exchanges. So the value of Bitcoin is infinite.

Yeah, if the value of the currency declines, then also it won't be getting worthless as this is the most widely used virtual currency. The adoption rate of bitcoin in the past few years observed is marvelous and is day by day increasing thereby making it the most expensive currency today. So, I don't think that it would be getting useless anytime in the future...

I don't know how come, after ten years we still have this kind of topic, we have a dedicated post in 99bitcoin that details how bitcoin supposedly died and resurrect and so far it happens 351 times, this kind of topic is redundant, we always comes back to find out that Bitcoin is here to stay, and stay for good.

I think its too big and popular to fail.  Cheesy
Bitcoin can drop to 1000$ or 100$ , but it
will never drop to zero.

There is a many traders, shops, developers,
companies involved in bitcoin ecosystem, so its
impossible for BTC to become worthless (literally).  Grin

In the future, bitcoin might become worthless because it is just like the Nokia of the mobile phones where it was the one who pioneered the market and it gives idea to the future mobile phone creators and since it is the pioneer, it slows down until the newer ones outperformed it because they have a better and more advanced features. I think that is the same thing that will happen to bitcoin in the future.

In theory that could happen, but I believe it has very low chances to become worthless. I mean just take into account the huge amount of funds that go into mining. Then take the technology aspects of Bitcoin that are already revolutionizing the world. Moreover institutional investors like JP Morgan already got their hands on some coins and won't let the value go too low.

This could happen only when the world decides to end it or whole country puts a ban on it than only people would not like to hold it or buy it and prices would crash and become worthless. This practically is very difficult and might take a long time even if it had to happen.

Value is in the eye of the beholder.  People buy wedding rings for millions of dollars that essentially have very little real value.  Just look at Mariah Carey's 10 million dollar wedding ring, most people think that is insane but its normal for her.  Same goes for bitcoin.

No dream is too big and no dreamer is too small

For me as long as their a people that are using bitcoin and traders that are still buying and selling bitcoin it won't be worthless. Especially now that digital assets are is inn. Bitcoin will just be worthless if there is no internet.
The internet money, that's bitcoin, it's not gonna be successful without internet as every thing is process only.
Bitcoin will never be worthless, it has its supporters and people are satisfied in using it, the online gambling world alone are big enough and bitcoin helps to cater fast and cheap transaction through the blockchain.
