I used to think total technical failure would do it, but these days the incentive is so strong to keep it alive that people would build something from scratch that the original ledger could be slotted into.
It's a bit like insuring classic cars. Some are worth so much money that you could feed it into a wood chipper until it was nothing but a pile of metal shavings and the upside of rebuilding it would still be completely intact.
I don't believe any government action could possibly reduce the value to nil. There'll always be other jurisdictions open to it. If there aren't any at all there's still a few billion people who are not governments.
Replacement? Possible but unlikely in the extreme. There'll never be another project born in the same way. And everyone who applies some thought realises that if Bitcoin is abandoned for something else it can happen to that replacement, and any other in future.
The ideal outcome for the human race is that money goes away completely. I would welcome Bitcoin's worthlessness in those circumstances.

Sentiment in terms of trust is very important in bitcoin, because we ourselves know that the beginning of the formation of bitcoin has value on the basis of "Trust" and is different from money or stocks that have Gold or property backups. so it is indeed why the news about bitcoin greatly affects investors ,And if trust no longer exists. then it is not impossible that bitcoin will return to the beginning that has no value It depends upon the sentiment of the investors.

True but its to do with the Federal Reserve. Very large sentiment change occurred recently in the autumn because of tightening to the interest rate and some reversal to QE but its very slight. At some point in the future, FED will burn out their brakes and be unable to do anything at all and this when it unwinds value of dollar and we really see what happens with a free market deciding.It depends upon the sentiment of the investors.
Bottom line is Bitcoin, commodities, Stocks and maybe house prices are all running in line with the actions of a few actors in government deciding interest rates and similar. I can see a high possibility that the Bitcoin crypto currency will not be worthless most especially in the coming future. Why? Because I can see a good future awaiting as we all know how the current time of era we are in.

That is the only way for bitcoin to be worthless but with the things that are happening to bitcoin right now, it is a dumb idea for people to just sell their bitcoin, so i think if the good things will keep on coming in the future then there is no chance for bitcoin to be worthless.
While that is a possibility we can all agree that it is very unlikely, the reasons of why satoshi created bitcoin are still there and we could argue that things are getting worse so we need a way to be able to exchange money without the need of a third party and bitcoin is the perfect solution for this, and if governments keep with their current policies of trying to undermine privacy bitcoin will only become even more popular.

There is difference between digital currency and fiat currency. Bitcoin can't be failed like other fiat currency, as there is no strong competitor of bitcoin now and it has nothing to do with political issues.
