Probably to get into mainstream is one of bitcoin's goal ever since it was created. It's starting to make a name for itself and it will be just a matter of time to reach that level. I know that the time will come for bitcoin to be at that point especially the system has the capability to do it. Bitcoin deserve to be at that position so sooner or later it will come.

According to a study conducted by researchers at Imperial College London, cryptocurrency has the potential to become a form of payment that is widely used for decades to come. In their research report entitled "Cryptocurrency: Overcoming Barriers to Trust and Adoption" Professor Imperial College London, William Knottenbelt, and Imperial College Business School Dr. Zeynup Gurguc, argue that cryptocurrency has so far acted as a store of value like a fiat currency.

Yep, some of the huge people behind crypto really said that Bitcoin may be huge in the coming long-run. But I will never lower my guard down since Bitcoin is somehow going down.

I think that bitcoin will work as a highly liquid asset for the accumulation and preservation of capital. A new mainstream may be a token of the standard ERC-721. Once in distant 2010-2012 no one thought that bitcoin could grow so much and people bought it only for enjoy of possess it. So, the new standard token 721 can refresh the desire of people to have something special, collectible.

Your prediction may happen if the positive trend of bitcoin continues to grow, by 2018 bitcoin investors begin to increase dramatically. although now there are still some countries that have not legalized bitcoin but that number continues to decrease.
Another 10 years will be the bitcoin year of glory in the global economy.

I guess bitcoin would become mainstream on the next two years because it is already established on other countries. If there will be something that becomes popular that time, that would be the altcoins. I still believe that useful coins deserve to have a spot on the future. Lets support them all.

Surely. And it depends on the technological advancements made in individual countries. For some it will be very soon. For others, 10 years is still too soon. But all in all, most of them will accept it as a form of payment

Yes, it is possible and I think it's earlier than 10 years. We know that Bitcoin has the potential to be a payment method as there were lots of ATMs installed worldwide. So, given the speed of adoption, I won't be surprised to see Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as well, that is widely used for the coming decades, or maybe less than 10 years.

Possibly yes it can become mainstream in the next 10 years, its all about consistency, hence if the price drops at this kind of rate it would be tough for BTC to become mainstream, and I'm not even talking about BTC becoming the world's currency as it lacks on some aspects that I'm sure that it is not yet ready to go on and become the world's currency, but If we are talking about mainstream here then that I am sure BTC has the chance to become.

In the time frame stated more probably it will be the mainstream, but we all know that as something goes on top, there are othrs wanted it to go down, in short more rivals will come and challenge how strong the bitcoin is. But who knows, bitcoin will remain at number one and be on top, even beat the fiat. All we can do is wait amd see, how bitcoin reigns in the next year.

I am not sure whether Bitcoin can become mainstream in the next 10 years, But one thing I am sure about is Cryptocurrency will become mainstrean in the next 10 years. The mass acceptance of cryptos has already started, where some countries have already accepted it as one of their legal temders and some are in the process. People in general are now aware of their potential and what benefits they can offer. Slowly and gradually things are changing and for me that is a positive sign.

I do not think so. My personal point of view still thinks Cryptocurrency is just a money transfer tool. That is all that Cryptocurrency has and they can not be considered fiat coins.
Low supply and instability are two factors that can not make it fiat money.
