40000 is the real cost of bitcoin at the end of 2018. To rise in price in three times bitcoin can even up to summer.
From this point of view the end of this year looks far away and everything seems possible.
If the price will rise fast like at the end of 2017 40000$ is possible but still I think that the growth will slow down a bit and 25000$ sounds more realistic to me.
Also there are some other things that could influence the price like forks, fees, unconfirmed transactions.

I think so. But its not gonna be a smooth climb like the second half of 2017. You would see several dump and corrections before BTC hits $40K - I believe it will reach by the last quarter of this year.

Some people has guesses for $100k in 2018, some of them have guesses for $25k. Let's make an average approach and say my prediction is $45k for this year. Next years, I think it will make us surprised a lot!
In my opinion , Although the price in this period is volatile as well there are difficulties in the wallet like the fees and the high number of transactions ( Especially the unconfirmed). In otherwise, I guess that in 2018 there will be many changes in bitcoin And it is certain that the price would be much better than the above ,May will become 40K in mars 2018 . And at the end of the year, the value of the market cap will be more huge and the price will be more of 100K( maybe that will be achieved in November or December 2018).

The price prediction of bitcoin is always negotiable among the folks here . Bitcoin's value is very hard to predict . Reaching upto $40000 should actually not be a difficult figure to attain witnessing the current growth of bitcoin . But that would ofcourse need lots of changes in the current scenario of bitcoin . Reaching upto such value would also need an increase in the block chain size for its smooth functioning in the transactions . I believe this is very possible and bitcoin will actually get to $40,000 and above in 2018. I have to also accept this reality that ethereum is going to double in 2018 and holding this 2 coin should be the best thing to do now. 2018 is going to be a fruitful year in the history of cryptocurrencies.
Possible to happen. Bitcoin is full of surprises, we never know what will really happen until it happens. The fact is that Bitcoin have already surprised many people that didn't expect to see its sucess. To make this possible the interest in BTC must keep increasing and more people must start investing, more businesses must adopt it as payment method and the technology must continue being improved, this way we reach $40.000 or even more!

Bitcoin is good and market competitive currency So we can say that it will grow more in the market but to achieve the $40k It is a little bit difficult that it will grow up to the expected amount like $40,000. But i have seen many changes in the crypto market so it can be said that every thing is possible in this market. Bitcoin is very successful in the present time.
I think $4000 is just as conceivable as $40,000. No one knows what the year will bring. Perhaps BTC has earned a nice breather to warm up for the next halving. Or it'll carry on until everyone's head is spinning.

Well hopefully it does. It encountered quite a number of challenges during the closing week for this year so i hope we'll see a strong btc comeback within january. Though 40k would probably be by the latter part of the year
we are still too far at the end of 2018 to think of bitcoin price will reach up to $40k. maybe it is possible or maybe it can over come $40k at the end of the year. we still dont know and for me it is too early to think about.
There may be a lot of chances for bitcoin to reach 40k$ in the end of 2018.I hope it will occur very earlier.Many new countries start to accept bitcoin and many had start to trade of bitcoins.This factors will make the bitcoin price to reach of maximum value.Let us wait and see,even it may reach 50,000$.
