Yeah, Bitfinex hacked and bitcoin price suddenly down, but if we are talking about only $800, so it is not big amount for bitcoin, also mostly chances are here that bitcoin might be come up, and 4 months are remaining for the end of the year. Price rise up and down it is a quality of cryptocurrency, and specially those people who are still using the bitcoins they will continue buying and selling the bitcoins. They never left the bitcoins only for hacking reason.

Doesn't matter and also it's too far-fetched. The hackers have converted the coins into fiat already that's why there's this past massive dump. Also, we can still rise up even if Bitfinex won't be able to recover their hack by the simple demand and supply principle.

I think BTC can rises up to 800$ this year. It's been up there before and of course it can go back. We've almost touched 800$ before the halving. Even though we can't say for sure that BTC will rise again, by just looking at the charts, you can conclude that the chances are really high.

The price has gone down for last two days, that’s for sure, but the currency has rebounded somewhat and is still receiving attention from many users. I think price may grow further and reach $800 before the end of this year.

$800 is quite a decent price target to happen this year. I hope if it turns out to go there, that it will be a slow but steady growth. I always prefer sustainability over short term peaks.

well i think it shouldnt be taking too long as a small percentage was taken only though the price might still not recover as people are scared to buy now

yes that is right but still the price of bitcoin is going see more high lever of this year, it is also possible that this year the price of bitcoin will even see the all time high level of bitcoin history, so i can suggest to my friends that the presnt price of bitcoin is too good to buy it and then to hold them for the price increase.

no guarantees when it comes to bitcoin. if you make yourself think the price will 100% sure to hit certain price levels, then you end up disappointing yourself.
I don't consider the current price to be a cheap level to enter the market. cheap levels where when the price was sailing below the $400 price level for quite some time.

To be fair this question was posed at the very beginning of the year, so it was a fair question back then.. However after the price drop this week it's probably out of the question for bitcoin to rise above 800 again because 2017. We've been surprised by price before, but unless something dramatic happens I'd say we're lucky to pop back up to $600 before 2017

yes i think so, hope that very soon the price of bitcoin will raise to 800$ very soon. as in present time the price of bitcoin is falling down continuously for last 3 days, and the price fall down below 500$ but hope that it will be a false fall down and very soon the market will recover, it is expected that the price of bitcoin cross 800$ dollar very easily and may be reach to 1200 USD level. so just try to hold your bitcoin and not to sell it and those who have no bitcoin they should buy new bitcoin because the price is going to raise again.

i think yes . the price can jump to 800$ per btc beacuse of the effect of halving .
beacuse halving leaves its effect even after the one to two month .
so i think price will jump .
since there is chance to fall also . fall of prices in these days we can see easily which provea yours prediction wrong .
but increase in bitcoinc can be any time .
actually i am waiting for the down of the rated of bitcoins . because i want purchase some bitcoins for future profit .
after that i hope the rate will grow upto 800$ per btc .

Being realistic, I don't see $1k this year. I guess $800 would be already a great achievement. But let's first see how low we go, once a post-halving correction starts.

Remember that all those "realists" were claiming that 600 this year was simply nuts and impossible, and we got there and beyond reaching a 728 price in some exchanges.

So "realism" in BTC is not what it seems. We can easily hit 1k this year, there is still a long time to go before summer ends and then we have a couple more months.

well, now we have our reality check, as announced. the price went to sub $500 on some exchanges. Let's see how far the rebound goes, as this will determine the mid-term direction for the reminder of the year.

There was a run up prior to the halving and we are in consolidation mode now.
But there is still time for another bull run this year.
