maybe someone can because nowadays there are so many people who are really great about computers especially the hackers. maybe they can really hack your wallet and steal all your bitcoins or money. the only way to be safe from them tou need to be invisible by showing other people the amount of your bitcoins to prevent stealing
Agree with you now a days lot hackers is much advantage to the developer of one site, i think hackers not yet see the bitcoin system that they could hacked and make lots of money. There is no safe in online on the hands of hackers.

I're recently switched to a hardware wallet and I am very happy with this solution. I had Bitcoin and Ethereum wallet before on my PC. Altough I am very cautios with the staff I have on my PC and the internet sites I visit I was getting extremely uncomfortable with the recent increase in ransomware.

I use a seed with an additional passphrase. The seed is on paper only, passphrase in a password container. A hacker would need access to both in order to access my wallets.

if you wanna have a better security, i would recommend to have a multi signature wallet (the address with prefix of 3 instead of 1). in case of possibility of being hacked, they need certainly large amount of computing power which consumes all the possible energy in the Earth as there are more than googol (IIRC) of possible combinations and not all the private key is valid for bitcoin address.

I strongly agree. They can do it but they cant if you care especially your security. Secure every information that you have especially your account with regards of earning. Careand secure your accoutn i suggest.

Yes i think it is possible. even, safest security in goverment can be hacked too.
Maybe you can find a wallet that have complex security instead? although i don't really know about it. since until now, i don't really think about my bitcoin wallet.
But at least, we can prevent it by using hard password, that's really hard to guess. And never login your wallet in wrong website. because now, there're some fake webs that look exactly like the real one. And once people put their password there, it's gone.
Always double checked everything. And pray of course lol.

If you have a secure wallet, a desktop wallet with security like anti-virus, or something like that, or if you use an online wallet and take advantage of additional security 2fa like google auth, sms verify, etc of course it will be very difficult for hackers to hack your account

I think that a good hacker can crack a bitcoin, but to do this, he needs to know that you have a large amount of money in there so you do not waste a lot of time. Also, you can steal passwords if you navigate through viral links on the Internet.

You can make it hard, but you can never stop a good hacker. use offline storage and a strong key and never trust anyone.
the hacker can be your best friend and that's one of their strategies to get to your secrets.

can they hack into our wallet. There are many professional hackers out there. What are the chances? Also what is the safest way to safeguard ourself?
It is possible, 100%. That is if you don't have sufficient security measures. If you adopt good security measures, the chances are next to zero. Bitcoin don't have any vulnerability that allows anyone to guess your private key with a fair amount of computing power.

If you want to safeguard yourself, you have to create a cold storage. Multisig won't work at all if all the addresses are generated on the same computer.

Bitcoin is impregnable but those wallet especially hot wallets is prone to hack that is if they have low security measurement which really did already happen. You can search for it. I am not sure if it is because of their incompetence or they just feel safe which lead their site or hot wallet to their demise.

Wow that make me feel good about the security of bitcoin. It is true that with two step verification process as well as multi private keys it will take hundreds of years for bastards to crack into any wallet. The simple password with combination of letters and numbers will also takes years according to surveys so I think bitcoin wallet address are way secure than anything.

This is not possible because if there are hundreds of millions of dollars stolen by hackers, Bitcoin developers have prevented this from happening by the Bitcoin security system.
I think if you keep it in an online exchange or wallet that does not have more security, it would be quite possible if your bitcoin gets stolen. There are many cases if you look on google, that there are many people who get the losses because their bitcoin is stolen from the wallet that do not have much security or from bitcoin stored in exchange

maybe on some exchanges or if you loged in on a phising site where they copy the same website of wallet you stored in. they can get the information of your wallet then take all of your assets inside.

Well, if you are using a wallet which doesn't have 2 step, is online and has only one address it would be quite easy, but people who have that type of wallet are usually people who have less than a hundred in their wallet and for professional hacker, it wouldn't be work the time.

Also what is the safest way to safeguard yourself?

Well, here are some tips you can take into consideration in order to be safer with your wallet.

1. Use multiple addresses.
2. Consider cold storage.
3. Store your private keys safely.

Brain Wallet < Exchange Wallet < Offline Wallet < Paper Wallet

A paper wallet is the most secure. With a brain wallet, a hacker only has to figure out your password. Exchanges are online. If the exchange collapses and goes out of business... uh oh, who knows what could happen. An offline wallet on your computer is better secured. The only way you will lose your money is if you ever go online and a hacker gets a keylogger on your computer and does hackerish things. Having your wallet offline is a very safe route to go for the most part though.

The best wallet is a paper wallet. No one can ever crack this without guessing the private key. There is nothing on the computer for a hacker to hack. Nothing online either. You can generate your own address and print it out. If you are even more paranoid you can write it out with pen on a note card. Store that note card in a plastic back so it doesn't wither away over time. Find a safe place to keep it where it won't get destroyed or disturbed. Done! No extra hashes or fancy encryption gobbldy-gook. You've never used the private key before so it isn't recorded anywhere. It can't get much safer than that.

Actually you do not have to worry. As long as you can still save your password safely then you can breathe freely, other than that access to an e-mail is very important because as long as you can still connect with e-mail that is registered then you can easily take account that you have. Oh yes there is a 2FA feature that can add security bitcoin wallet that you have. The important thing is never to give any information to others.

This topic is like a joke for the wallets owners . Actually here in my opinion there is still chances to get hacked if we are using third party walkers or we are sharing our information with everyone because if hacker can get even single thing then he can easily trace us that where where we made accounts , and if he can access one of them.then probably he can enter in our wallet with low security ( in case of third party ) .
But if you are in the official wallets then I don't think that there is any chance of the hacking even the hacker get cracked the password because there he will need to approve at the email and also if we have the secondary password then I don't think that there is any chance to access the fun even after the access of the wallet .

Anything can be stolen by hackers, what we think is the safest for them is ordinary, maybe the best way is to split into some wallet so that if 1 stolen there is still another.

To my knowledge from reading, it is true with your opinion that the possibility remains and can be hacked by the irresponsible.
But is there a safest way to avoid the irresponsible person taking and benefiting oneself?
We naturally have to find a way of security to anticipate the irresponsible person.
