BTC has entered the second 4-year halving cycle and will rise to 1 million U.S. dollarsin the next 15 years. What do you think? Friends are welcome to discuss together. Smiley
Anything can happen in the internet world, especially with Bitcoin, who would have thought that from the price of $65 it could reach the current $60,000/Bitcoin, how many years it only took 13 years for that.

For the next 10 years, the same thing can happen, nothing is impossible as long as humans in the world are still trading, investing, mining etc., towards crypto/digital currency.

15 years is a good number of years to be able to reach that point, I think that with that much time, there's a big possibility that bitcoin will be able to go to 1 million dollar mark. Only concern that I have is that bitcoin gets much more premium more than ever since it gets more expensive, another problem that we will be facing is that if we ever reach that point, we will probably hodl much more expecting the price to go higher.

I think it's a fairly long prediction, bitcoin has reached its heyday in the last year and this year, but to reach that price is not so easy and this is not possible if the regulation of each country starts to be rumored, it will be difficult to reach that price, but to I think the development of bitcoin will increase in the future, but not at the stated price, and I think this prediction will be far from the journey of bitcoin itself.

I think it's hard to predict Bitcoin going up to $1 million in the next few years. Even now, no one knows and predicts exactly how the prospect of bitcoin in the future will be at least 10 years into the future, even though the price is still up and down.
The price of bitcoin reaching $1 million in the next ten year is not possible, it price is absolutely unpredictable and considering many upcoming bans, clamping down of exchanges, 40% owners of bitcoin manipulations e.t.c these are unforseen fundamentals that could mar the price to reach the speculated price mark, though I am not disputing the fact that the price will be far above the present price, but $1 million price mark is too outrageous to me and probably there is the tendency to have another new innovation other than crypto that might divert hodlers and investors's attention.

we need to look at reality here. and right now, that's very far from happening. but ok, let's say in the next 15 years, everything is possible to happen. but do you think there will be no new and advanced technology that will topple bitcoin? we can never be sure of its future as the technology is evolving very fast.

Technology evolving very fast, agreed. But why didn't any coin or token come in competition to btc till date when btc is already 10+ years old? I don't say that nothing can beat btc but due to its limited supply and unlimited adoption, possibilities for btc to reach new highs every few months are endless.
I believe that developing new technologies is not a reason to be ranked higher, that's why. However we should not assume that just because BTC has been at the top so far, it could continue forever like that, it doesn't have to be like that. We have seen ETH get quite close very recently, the difference is closer than any other time in history and that is why I believe there could be one day when it passes bitcoin as well. So in the short period of time we had (10 years is nothing in finance world) nothing has passed bitcoin, but at the end of the day we may see that change in the next 10 years, or maybe 20, or maybe 50.

So, we could see that developing new and better technologies could take over the existing market and become better. Look at top 10 today, last year, year before that and each year for the past 10 years and you will see that maybe bitcoin didn't get overtaken but all the other positions kept changing because of new technologies.

This is the thing about bitcoin that baffles me. We all know it "could" rise to 1 million dollars, but would you wait for it, would you wait for more, would you be happy with that and sell at exactly at 1 million? What should we do with this knowledge? I mean I do believe that it will be 1 million dollars, and I do not have 1 full bitcoin right now, my aim is to have one bitcoin eventually, but would I sell before it is 1 million? Would I sell when it is 1 million? Would I wait even more? I have no idea. I am a long term holder but I do not know how long, I do not know when is the time that I would eventually say "this is enough for me" and get out.

Next 15 years is so long to predict but if we can see all countries goes digital currencies and they will choose bitcoin then we might gonna see this happening. But for sure each country will create their own digital currency and bitcoin will be just another option to them so maybe the preferred figure to be reach is still 6 digit number if bitcoin will still alive 15 years from now.
15 years to come is actually a very long time to predict what will the price of Bitcoin be and the question of whether Bitcoin will exist in the next 15 years is not out of place this because so many countries of the world are now digitalizing their currency and they may not be any need for Bitcoin again.

the answer is: "it is impossible". sorry but in my opinion it is impossible to think about:

1 BTC = 1 Million Dollars

what would the marketcap of those 1 million dollars be like? I think it's impossible and shouldn't even dream of this price
It is odd that you find this to be impossible, after all this means you do not think there is any kind of scenario in which this can happen when I think there are many scenarios which could easily allow bitcoin to reach that price.

For example right now the whole world is going through inflation, what if it begins to go out of control? What if we see during the next decade similar or higher levels of inflation? Such a scenario will allow bitcoin to reach that price as people will try to look for ways to avoid that inflation and there are reports of people preferring bitcoin over gold as the tool to achieve this, now under that scenario it is fair to wonder how much that bitcoin valued at one million dollars would buy, but that is out of the scope of the discussion we are having.

$100k level is more feasible to happen for now, but we can't say never, right?

I never said 'never' and btc will also reach a million dollar one day because a btc, which was not even worth a cent at a time and we are speaking about the same crossing $100k mark is feasible, then that btc can also do 10x of that $100k and complete Satoshi's dream of a million dollar btc.

But knowing how big the marketcap needed to achieve before that to happen and I think that price mark is so impossible to be reach by bitcoin knowing that market is so volatile and for sure it will struggle to reach that far. And maybe its good to speculate first on when $100k to be reached since if we can see that achieve by bitcoin then the next target would be the $200k and this is a quite hard path to take.
Again, that's what we said before, that we can't reach billion or trillion market cap but we achieved it.

So I would say that there's nothing impossible in this market, yes, it's volatile and that's what makes it very attractive to investors specially those very young who are just starting their investment journey.

So I wouldn't estimate it, yeah $200,000 might be hard to break today, but remember that there is this halving event every four years that is the catalyst for the market to reach new all time high.
Whenever halving happens, it takes a while for it to reach to ATH but it almost always happens. Like for example it happened in May 2020 last, and the peak was late April, almost 10 days before one year of halving. Next will be in 3 years or so right? That means we have about 3.5 years or so for the next ATH for us.

Do you really believe that bitcoin that reached almost 70k without help of a halving pump, would stay under 200k afterwards? I am very bullish on bitcoin, I believe that the price will definitely reach to those levels and we will see the price reaching to 200k+ in 3-4 years. That is the reason why I am holding mine, and I will probably not sell it unless I absolutely have to.

Too much fiction about a crazy outcome, it is possible that with economic and market theories as well as mathematical calculations, these levels of prediction belong to situations that take a few centuries and a few thousand years to appear once or even never but before, we also lived with such genius arguments and Bitcoin proves it doesn't belong in the argument of supernatural brains. Therefore, it can be difficult and it is contrary to logical calculations but throw that dry theory away and go crazy with bitcoin for once thinking about the most extraordinary thing it can do

I find this article very interesting to read, a CoinDesk editor predicts that, and maybe he/she is just one of the many that believe on a $1 million per bitcoin.
Read the article here ; https://finance.yahoo.com/news/bitcoin-will-eventually-hit-1-million-dollars-a-coin-coin-desk-editor-predicts-172810294.html

Personally, I believe that $1 million is too high for bitcoin to achieve, I mean the price is not going in one direction only, there's a volatility that we sometimes neglect, therefore we also have to think of the opposite of pump which could potentially bring bitcoin back to $10k, or lower.

This is all I can say, in the beginning, what was the price of Bitcoin? $0.01? $0.1 and then it grows to $1.00 and people are saying it's going to die so many early bagholders sold their stash.

Moving forward now, how many regrets of selling their Bitcoin that time? we have seen it countless times in twitter and social media accounts saying this and that?

Now with the current price, what would you think be the price in the next 10 years or 20 years or more? Just think about it, Bitcoin has a lot of surprises for us.
Although it often experiences negative sentiments, the bitcoin price slowly but surely continues to experience a significant increase from year to year, even though it takes a long time but I am very sure if we will see the bitcoin price even more than $500K later, now we just need to be patient and continue to hold our bitcoin for a long time and waiting to right time for later we release it at the highest price.

But knowing how big the marketcap needed to achieve before that to happen and I think that price mark is so impossible to be reach by bitcoin knowing that market is so volatile and for sure it will struggle to reach that far. No one had really anticipated that we would really reached up this high yet we've been struggling way back on breaking 20k price point which had been the ATH which its been a long time on where it wasn't really been breached or broken.

Nothing is indeed impossible but we should not really be that optimistic because it would result into being impatient because you are expecting on something.

$100k is near and next target would be 200k but minding about a million? Its an impossible thing for now but who knows right?

Ehh, that was more ambitious but can't lose such possibility.
But for now, it seems unrealistic, which is certainly too much and very expensive that if the time has come and it reaches $1mil, I don't think that poor people have the chance to invest in Bitcoin, they might just look at the altcoins.

Anyway, $100k is more realistic...Yeah, that we are very close to that price, maybe we can hit it next year. So, I have to encourage people to invest and hold as it can never be in regrets.

Want to add up that SEC rejected VanEck's Spot Bitcoin ETF and this does not look like a good news for this month. We may see more drops in the price and $100k still looks a proper target to think of, before we see a million as too many hurdles are stopping btc from reaching where it may have been by now. There is high probability of btc coming under $60k once before it recovers its ath and breaks $100k very fast.

Why not?
We are doubt with Bitcoin before but considering its success now then there’s a high chance that we might reach this level and I would be more happy to hold Bitcoin for this reason. Everything can happen with Bitcoin, its price will also rise as expected I’m super bullish with Bitcoin and I’ll trust its process.

if speaking for now I agree with you if the price of bitcoin reaches 1 million USD sounds very unlikely, but 10 years from now I'm not sure if this statement still sounds impossible. the number of investors continues to grow and the amount of supply is limited, these two reasons seem to be able to dispel everyone's doubts if the future price of bitcoin can reach 1 million USD.
I am sure there are many that speculate that the price of BTCitcoin will reach a million dollars especially John McAfee and sadly he passed away and he was a biggest speculator in the market even though majority of the things he says does not have any logic. I am skeptical on those stats that we would ever reach a million dollars per coin which means the total market capital was really high.
