It is really hard to think about that, as you above said ETH can not reach this price till end of the year. For ETH to reach this price the event of the market must change, BTC should rise up, and then some problems like Covid-19 must be solved. Maybe we can think about this price, no doubt it is impossible for this year. ETH will not touch $1.4k this year. maybe many agree with me that the price of ETH is influenced by Bitcoin, so if Bitcoin is bullish then Eth is also Bullish.
We are still in the Middle of the Year so many things will come sooner,nothing is certain so why does this prediction so hard?
Haven't you Heard about the Ethereum2.0?if not then better check it out first before deciding which to believe.

Honestly, the price of Ethereum won't reach the $1400 price range and i also want you guys that Enjin launching there game app on Eth network wasnt actually the reason why ETH peaked to $279 during February because it post halving effect that make almost all potentials crypto surge during that time.

With all the negative that happens in our society because of this COVID crisis, All countries are having financial issues, the economy is down. Some investors prefer to buy food and everything for their families, So I guess it will not happen this year. But bitcoin sometimes is having an unusual pump it is unpredictable for sure ETH will follow and other Alcoins if that will happen, bitcoin dominance is really big right now so the influence of bitcoin matters.

To become $1400 this year, that's so hard and i think almost imposible or imposible at all. I dont see any sign for that. Before ethereum can pump so high, bitcoin should precede that, but no sign too. $1400 is ethereum ATH, for now, i think need miracle to reach that

Im not even sure when POS will be fully adopted by ethereum and EVM migration into the eWASM will bring a lot of impact to the price of ethereum. If ethereum can reach $500 and that's more than enough to see the price will remain stable at such rate.

It's never easy to break the ATH, ETH alone can't do it, it needs some cooperation with Bitcoin as market is only moving when bitcoin is at bullish mode. Unless it will break the trend, then we might see ETH rising while bitcoin remains neutral or stagnant but it's not likely to happen IMO.
May it's safe if we will just wait til this happen.

We all hope for a big pump for Ethereum this year, but not sure if Ethereum reaches $1400.
if you want to say it is impossible yes it is clearly wrong and if you say yes it is possible that you also can and no. because in crypto everything can happen but we also have to be relevant to the situation, does it make sense that logic can occur.
ethereum is currently at position $ 242 and moves not far either up or down, the same as that experienced by bitcoin.
this indicates that the movement of ethereum is very much influenced by the situation in bitcoin itself.
bitcoin is currently at $ 9,272 and moves in a range not far from $ 9K.

Let's be real, I don't think the price of ETH would be as high as $1400. In January, 2020 ETH started trading at $139 per coin but in the mid February the price peaked at $279 this happened due to Enjin launching its game development platform on the Ethereum network but for the time being the biggest potential for ETH now lies in the upcoming Ethereum 2.0 update.

nothing is imposible in terms of crypto.. but the problem is, i think not this year but probably next year.. though the ATH was not achieve yet big potential is there
That's right, nothing is impossible in crypto space. But BTC needs to start the bull trends so that top alts like ETH can make huge price movements. Thus we can see that much price jump in any years and all now depends on the btc price movement because all the top altcoins follow the bitcoin's price movement.
