I don't think so that in gambling will become profitable in long term. In gambling our money are not a stable and our money are not sure that can remain in their number in a long period of time, because in everytime we are take gambling we are have a chance to win or to losse our money. And then, we if we are always losse in gambling our money will disappear slowly, and it is hard to get some profit on it. For me, it is good to invest than to gambling because in investing we are sure that we are get some profit to the money that we are invest. Unlike, in gambling it will also makes fun to the people who are addicted on it or the people or the gamblers that are professional in any type of gambling. So we need to understand and study of what we are comfortable to get some profit, to gambling or to invest?
I agree! In gambling there is no asssurance that you will always win, it always depends on luck of the person. When you win keep the money and have the courage to put up your own business, invest you money into firms or just save your money. Gamling is profitable but not for a long term. Yes, there is a chance that you might win but there's a greater chance that you will loose.

It all depends on how lucky a person is, but do not expect a permanent profit from gambling as they are entertainment and carry more losses than profits.
It's hard to get lucky in the long term in gambling, it all depends on our discipline in playing gambling, when we can take control of any situation we will know what to do.because sometimes a person will suffer streak defeat or you're out of luck on that day, and you must stop if that happens or we could lose all the money in an instant.

Oh yeah some people are professional gamblers that's what they do they gamble for a living and make enough money out of it. Before you delve further into it , you must know what game you are strong in and stick to it. There are skills based games so you must improve your skill at all times so that you have the greater chance of winning. And a list of rules must be set so that you don't go overboard and lose lots of money.
Alot of people gamble for living and only some people manage to get profit. Im not one of them so I prefer to play for fun instead of profit. In the end it is not profitable for me. Even if I put set of rules for me to follow, I dont really think that it will have any good effect for me. In the end gambling for profit is just not designed for everybody to win
I would have to agree with you on this. That is why we need to gamble responsibly. We should not let our emotions rule ourselves whenever we gamble.

It totally depends on your luck, If you're lucky enough you might get a heck lot of profit in just a little time and if you're unlucky you'll lose the money you have. I dont recommend gambling at all.
I think what you said is right but only for that particular lucky day. Question is all about being lucky or gaining profit for long term. It is not possible because we will keep losing in the long term. Instead of trying to win in the long term it is better to have fun. We could have fun in the long term for sure but with the house edge around it wont be possible for us to win in the long term. It might be stressing ourselves to even think about it and we cant have fun because of it

That's a nice strategy compared to gambling, because you can't be certain at all times that winning huge amounts of money will be always possible. if you have a large amount of money and you can really handle yourself and manage every situation as well there's a chance that you can make such amount like that but I didn't say that your chances are high and I am not sure that everyday you have the luck to make it there's a higher chance that you lose often . Yea right we can't win this much money every time in gambling. And you know one thing this kind of winning will make people to addict to gambling. Once or twice they will win, and they think they can make it every time in this process they will addict to this gambling. So just take your winning easily and find another source to make money.
I'm not sure about that, unless gamblers has no emotion and educated with an attitude and high discipline mentality. Gamblers are more synonymous with greedy and emotional people. Whereas if want to achieve longterm profits, of course needs a good framework and good practice as well.

I haven't read through all the pages on this thread (obviously) but if Martingale is being recommended by some people, please do not follow it. It is one of the most dangerous techniques for so many reasons and people have done fortunes when trying to use it (particularly on roulette).
Martingale is even more risky than gambling itself. I think if someone wants to adapt this technique, first of all he must divide the amount he used to gamble with. For instance, if someone bets with 30 dollars, he must go for $2, then $4 then $8 and so on hence increasing the number of bets but not the total betting amount while playing the same game.
