Nope, you can just find out the lesson on gambling if you watch people losing and learn from them. It does not necessary need to experience losing before learning from gambling. Learn from other mistakes, that is the best way of learning. Experiencing it yourself might be devastating so it would be better to learn from other experience.

You can learn from watching them but you can't learn the lesson alone if you won't experience it personally. There are curious gamblers that aren't contented enough to learn from the mistakes and experiences of others. And instead of looking at those points they are trying it alone and will just find it out that those experiences from others are helpful. They will finally regret that in the end and will say, only if I learned from their mistakes.

When we lose, it is very unpleasant feeling and only by then we will realize that we have made mistake. If we dont make any mistake at all then we wont be able to see this valuable lesson that we got from gambling. That is the problem to those who doesn't have any control to themselves; they will do everything just to play gambling. They will even sell their properties just to have money and play gambling which is really not good, so until you can control yourself you should already put some limitations. My opinion is no different than yours. Gambling can give very useful lessons. The foremost one is how to get a control over one's greed. A gambler becomes greedy with every winning and it can be really harmful because it increases his rate of activity. It also tells us how to control stress and bear failure. Though it is not very exciting to lose but we cannot run from it forever. Failures make us strong.

Yes, it does give you some lessons in life such as dealing in winning and losing, taking care of your finances and even some mathematics.

This is true. Gambling could give a person lot of lessons in life. Along with all the above mentioned lessons that you have got through this game, the best one is to teach a person how to control his greed over money and deal with the financial matters in his life.

If someone faces a huge loss in this way, then it would surely work for him as one of the worst lessons and he would probably quit upon such habits in future.

yes gambling could give you a lesson in life, for example when you play gambling and you loose many times your still continuing to bet. just like in real life no matter how hard your problems are and how many times you failed your still not giving up and your still trying your best to suceed.

It definitely can! It will make you realize the value of money. The odds of losing in a gamble is always higher than that of winning..And so by losing, one will be able to truly understand the importance of money. But I'm not saying, hey go out and gamble so that you'll be able to experience this lesson. Learn from other people's experience and avoid those which led to their downfall. Learn, and be wise.
