It was designed to keep your bitcoins safe and that is exactly what it is doing now. Even you can't break into your own account when you lose your private keys. Next time, it's advisable to write down your private keys and keep them somewhere safe.

A friend of mine had some Bitcoin on his phone a couple of years ago and he's lost that phone which stored the private keys on without any other backup. We can see his balance on the blockchain and he knows his password for the private keys. Is there a way of creating the private key from the bitcoin address and the known password?
I do not want to upset you, but most likely you will not be able to resume access to your bitcoin. A few years ago, almost no one knew about bitcoin, and so your friend thought it was not important. It is hurts

Cheers guys I thought as much, i'll break it to him gently that it's gone for good.

It's going to be very hard for any person losing his Bitcoin because he lost his private key especially if the amount is huge and if you are living in a third would country you know every satoshi is worth the amount in your local currency, so guys be sure to keep your private key in a safe place and make a copy for yourself only.
well, I've also lost bitcoin because of private keys. believe me, i have also done everything, but that doesn't bring good results. Well, what needs to be done when losing is to be patient and go back to searching for bitcoin.

What is the wallet of your friend ? It is sad to hear that the back up is also on that phone. Your friend should also have a copy on his/her laptop or flashdrive or maybe encrypt it into a private account online. Regarding the password, I am not really sure. Maybe yes you can recover it. Just log in the account using the password then try tp explore the wallet if you can get its private key. If you recover it, make sure your friend will transfer the bitcoin into a much safer wallet.

I am quite sure at the moment recovering of private keys to access the contents of the wallet will be very difficult. This is why it is important that what is mined is not stored on a device but on a cold wallet and may be in the cloud. To lose a device holding precious assets like the bitcoin is to regret when the prices are up and you are desperately in need of cool cash! Its quite difficult to recover private keys bro!

If you have your password, your wallet 🆔 (not address), you could access your wallet anytime, I assume you are using blockchain.info wallet, In a situation where you have been using an app, and only have the password to the app, you would need your private keys to access the account

I think your Bitcoin number will fall into the crypto space, meaning it will suspend and don't belong to anyone. Maybe it's my personal thoughts.

Maybe you can take back your bitcoin balance if you lost your mobile phone number, you can contact your mobile phone umber support and ask to them make new phone number with old your number, my country is allowed if you lost your number and create new again with the same number before.

no, if you lose your private key you will not be able to access your address again, because the private key is the only way to access your bitcoin so if you lose the private key, you will not be able to get your bitcoin again, so it's better to forget it.
